Thats the hallmark of the Captain.!!! Taking the blame upon himself.

For a sturggling keeper like Carson, that was a huge confidence boost. Thats what a captain does for his players and thats why JT is the captain and not Rio.

Had JT not taken the blame the Scott Carson would have been further criticised which would have been a huge setback for him, but for JT to come out and absolve Carson from the blame and guilt, was great to see.
