pablo814 1
I am so excited that we as a nation got off of our asses and voted at a level that there could be no controversy as to who won. If Obama keeps 1/2 of the promises he made the world as a whole will be a better place!
chrismada9 1,948
It's a very interesting time, with Barack Obama becoming the new US President. It's a benefit to the UK because he has a strong friendship with us and he will hope to work alongside Gordon Brown, whom himself has said he's looking forward to work with him. One thing that interests me is, he doesn't have very much political exerience, so how is he going to deal with things such as the events in Iraq at the moment? Chelsea Lad 0
Finally a world leader who won't get the piss taken out of him by Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week. Always had to be Obama, McCain needs to get back to cooking his chips and stop trying to create a 'Bush Part 2' era.

Fulham Broadway 17,319
Agree, anyone better than Bush. Prepare for no change though. Hes already in the pockets of AIPAC and the PNAC lunatics. PS Could have been worse, McCain the Vietnam War Criminal and Palin who thought Africa was a country, and had no idea what nations were in the North Amercan Trade Agreement......
