Essien is a couple of months away. Great to have Drogba back. We have two very able centre-backs to replace Carvalho so I'm not concerned about that.

I'm concerned because Carvalho is by some distance our best defender, but as you say, BI and AdC are both very able.

You can't fault Anelka, if he goes missing for half a game but still manages to find the net, its the sign of a good striker. Yes, most of them are tap-ins, but we're nine goals better off thanks to him this season.

I think Anelka is much better this season but he's been pony this season a lot of time. Okay he's scored 9 goals in total, but he goes missing for long periods and I think those goals cover up his poor all-round contribution.
