We need to get a price from Real for him. £45m to £55m range is fair value. Anything over £65m is an absolute no go (and that us said by me who LOVES him, but I also know our board.)

Why for the fucking life of me we accepted LOANING him is beyond my comprehension.

The board doesn’t have any issues flushing £35-40m down the toilet for Drinkwater and Bakayoko each, but when real quality presents itself they start doubting and penny-pinching. Typical.

RLC and Barkley are attacking mids that don’t offer much in defensive phase, Kovacic does. With him you sacrifice goals but gain penetration, possession retention and defensive solidity. They all fit in the same squad and cover different roles. RLC won’t make it here anyway, so no point bringing him into discussions. Barkley and Kovacic can cover each other or even play together.

Sign him up! We have been crying out for a midfielder like this for ages.

How would Asensio fit in the Prem? If he is anything like Morata in terms of mentality and physicality, then stay clear.

I would mind if he fell over and complained about everything. Hazard's replacement will never be as good overall, but at least be strong. I have my doubts about players coming straight from La Liga.
