Chelsea hail their new No9

ROOKIE striker Franco Di Santo will wear Chelsea's No9 shirt next season. The Argentina ace has yet to make his debut for the Blues but he has played a big part during pre-season.

And boss Phil Scolari appears to have given the youngster a huge chance by handing him the number.

Di Santo, 19, takes over the shirt from Steve Sidwell, who moved to Aston Villa this summer.

New signings Deco and Jose Bosingwa have taken the No20 and No17 shirts respectively.

he is living up to the number imo.. its we, who are putting too much expectations on him..

just cause he got number 9 doesn't mean he should score 10 goals more.. why should you look at him any different if he wore 9 or 36...

he's a kid trying to break into the first team, treat him like that not as a number 9..

I saw about5 ppl with Di santo 39 on their shirts yesterday...................they could always peel the 3 off :D
