Irrelevant? I refuted your point about using Whoscored's player ratings system and even gave an example as to why it's unreliable. Are you really gonna ignore the fact that their system has only 0.83 difference between Hazard's performances and Bakayoko's? Do you really believe that the latter has been good enough to merit a 6.93 rating? Not even sure if you are taking the piss at this point. Have no issues whatsoever if you think Dybala is the best player in Serie A but if player ratings is all you got to back that up, then...wow.

22 goals and 5 assists, top scorer of the top team in Serie A, dribbles past players, creates chances, scores amazing goals. What does a player need to do impress you Jason?

It seems everyone (both managers and players) is mediocre and overrated for you. I asked you once whether there is a manager you think he is really good. No answer.

I am talking about ranking not individual grades or the size of difference. This is why Baka-Hazard example is irrelevant. You want to discredit their rankings by pointing out something irrelevant.

Also it is not just whoscored. Both squawka and whoscored agree on three players Messi, Neymar and Dybala saying they are the best performing players in their leagues yet you disagree with them.

This discussion started after I wrote that we should sell Morata and buy Dybala. This is one those things that I can't believe that we are even discussing. They are not even in the same caliber.

To my Italian friends I said there is Chelsea fan who thinks we should not selll Morata and get Dybala in return and this was their reaction.

My point was Dybala may have impressive numbers but he hasn't backed it up with his performances on a consistent basis. There were criticisms of his performances in big games and IIRC, he was even dropped by Allegri in some key games. Heck, he even got taken off at HT against Napoli recently!

You talked about ranking and isn't that based on the ratings of the player?

Did you actually even read what I typed? Where did I explicitly say we should not sell Morata and get Dybala in return?

Well after quoting me when I wrote we should sell Morata and buy Dybala you wrote also this

"At least Morata has the excuse of this being his first season in a new country, club etc. Plus, he has scored some big goals in big games and has a decent goal record despite his issues. Dybala has been at Juventus since 2015 and his career has yet to really takeoff."

I should obviously thought that you dont oppose to such a transfer. Anyway I am done talking to you.

This is bonus.

Take care

Oh god. How desperate were you that you had to go dig out one of old my tweets? And imagine my shock at people taking a point at that particular time out of context.  Suarez was hardly a clinical goalscorer for Liverpool back in August 2012, only became one after that!

No just like Dybala is now, even then it was obvious that Suarez was exceptional player as some were rating him and you were calling him overrated.

You would probably oppose Suarez transfer to us back then saying he is overrated.

Your constant "this player is overrated" and "that manager needs more criticism" posts are getting really boring for me. So I would appreciate if you stop quoting me and telling me that

So if some think a player is good, I have to agree? Suarez has the skills but back then, his end product was horrendous and that was the point but I guess you ignored that since you only knew how to take things out of context and say, not even bothered reading the replies.

That's funny. I seem to remember it was you who quoted me yesterday to begin with in the Conte thread. And while I did do that in this particular discussion, you could have just ignored me but you didn't.

In any case, ta. :tiphat:

send him out on loan

You really cant expect us to send out a £70mill player out on loan!

Thats what them tight twats Juve think they are going to get ith a buy option. Loan him gor £15mill then a £45 mill payment IF they want him.

How is it these clubs manage to get these big loans and yebt we get what we can scrape up?

Dybala won titles ever since 2015 though. And Dybala certainly did better than what Morata did in Juventus.

If you want to start talking about titles, then Morata has won them ever since 2011.

Also don't give the "first season in a new country" crap. That's old as heck. Morata flopped in Madrid TWICE, and now he has flopped here this season. He has flopped more times in his career than have a successful one. Which was one season. With Juventus. Which Dybala was Juve's top scorer that season.

Yup, the "first season in a new country" is cliche as fuck but imagine if we had sold Drogba after only one season back in 2005?

Dybala > Morata. There is a lot more evidence to that. The reason why Morata got so much attention because of his performance in Euro 2016 on top of having a great season with Juve prior. But him having a great season doesn't mean he was Juve's top scorer, in fact he Juve's THIRD top scorer.

My original point wasn't even about Morata being better than Dybala or Dybala being better than Morata. More of the fact that, despite his goals and assists, Dybala hasn't always hit the heights on a consistent basis. Putting Morata aside, even if we bring Dybala in, is he even guaranteed to be a success with us? Continue with this turgid style and players like him are never going to shine on a consistent basis upfront.

Fine to rip Bakayoko to shreds but people are "fickle" for doing the same to Morata, who cost twice as much.

Give it a rest

Whatever.

As was posted earlier here, the chart showing he scored some important goals for us and won us a lot of points.

A goal every 3 games in his first season dealing with injuries and a few appearances where he received only 5-10 minute spells. Scoring at a rate similar to Lukaku in his first season.

Keep swapping players in and out, get no consistency, don't give any players a chance to improve. Whatever.

You guys are probably the same ones that complain about lack of consistent attacking play, yet won't give the players time to build with each other and learn to play off one another.

He's an impact player no matter how you look at it. Did Juve & Madrid not give him enough time either?

We need a striker that offers something on a consistent basis, whether it be goals, assists or just a presence.
