ChelseaChick 430
I thought he looked good in pre-season..i'd be happy if he stayed he'l have to fight hard for his place though
chrismada9 1,948
But where would Deco play in Carlo's supposed "diamond" midfield? To be honest, if you have Lampard as the attacking provider, Essien/Mikel as a defensive midfield player, Joe Cole on the right, Zhirkov/Malouda on the left, then that's pretty solid. There's not much room for Deco unless someone gets injured.

And its good to have someone with deco's experience on the bench in case hes needed..doesnt hurt to have a plan b
chrismada9 1,948
guess so, but then there's Ballack as well so, how would you juggle the two??
ChelseaChick 430
well to be honest i'd rather Deco than Ballack. Iv never really warmed to ballack, think he's over rated. But thats just my opinion
Dito 20
Zlatan is now Barca and Deco i think will continue this year in Chelsea
ZanSnake 1,211
Hopefully we can get a good season out of him this year, with him scoring vital goals against the top clubs.
Rambo 1,729
Deco is an excellent passer and I hope he can distribute nicely to our strikers.
the wes 7,212
http://www.tribalfootball.com/chelseas-deco-linked-move-vietnam-264215Deco will quit Chelsea for Vietnam after next summer's World Cup, according to the president of V-League 'giants' TT Ha Noi, claims the Daily Mail. Do Quang Hien says he has already spoken to Chelsea and expects the transfer to be the start of a relationship between the two clubs. TT Ha Noi have also been linked with moves for former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Spain midfielder Guti - both of Real Madrid. But some Asian commentators have dismissed the transfer pursuits as a publicity stunt. tribalfootball.com

ZanSnake 1,211
Denilson has gone there I thinkhe joined Hai Pong Cement or whatever you call themYeah but is and was crap, Deco is still a good player. If he continues playing the way he did at Sunderlan then he should stay past june, but if it happens like last year where he a spurt of runs of having good games then stops, i don't see him past this season
BlueLion. 21,491
He's had one good game so far, I'm not getting carried away after the way his form completely capitulated last term.
Kajo 176
He's had one good game so farI thought he had two good games. Assist in first match and goal in the second
Ollie 4,400
He was one of our best players in pre season and was excellent vs Sunderland. On current form he's playing well. He seemed a bit unsure last season and he was also injury hit for periods. If he stays injury free, we should see a very good Deco.
BlueLion. 21,491
He was playing better this time last year. Don't get me wrong, he played well against Sunderland, but knowing Deco as I do, even when he was at his peak he was frighteningly inconsistent, I'm not going to let myself get carried away. Kez 2,727
Still got alot of convincing to do imo. He was good at the start of last season so he could just fade out again.
BlueLion. 21,491
Yeah that's my point. Give me a consistent, 7/10-every-game Michael Ballack over a Deco who can go from sublime to shocking in a matter of minutes. I hope Deco can prove me wrong.
