He’s an old-fashioned centre-half, not afraid to get his foot in."Rooney on Terry: “Him and Paolo Maldini are probably the two toughest defenders I have played against." Jase 43,479
Hart on Terry.http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/joe-hart-hails-john-terry-as-englands-lionheart-8205425.htmlAsked how people should remember Terry on the international stage, Hart said: “As an inspiration, a very passionate and proud Englishman. That would be the best way to sum up John as a player.“He was someone who, when I first came into the England squad, treated me just the same as he does now. A great professional, a real inspiration football-wise and a good person as well.”
Kieran. 6,317
Adu Kofi from FCN tells us what happened after the game in Denmark:http://www.ghanasocc...-terry-advice/?"I wasn’t expecting at all. I was standing on our team bus when he came to me and talked to me. We talked for about 45 minutes and he told me that I’m a great player and also said I have a bright future."Also, DL had a similar message for him:“After Terry had gone, I heard somebody calling my name. I turned and it was David Luiz and he came with a similar message.

Doubt the media will bother much about it anyway as they will just continue with their agenda on Terry.

Milan 17,957
Terry says sorry, there will be no appealhttp://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8174864/John-Terry-decides-not-to-appeal-four-game-ban"After careful consideration, I have decided not to appeal against the FA judgment," he said."I want to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone for the language I used in the game against Queens Park Rangers last October."Although I'm disappointed with the FA judgment, I accept that the language I used, regardless of the context, is not acceptable on the football field or indeed in any walk of life."As I stated in the criminal case, with the benefit of hindsight my language was clearly not an appropriate reaction to the situation for someone in my position."My response was below the level expected by Chelsea Football Club, and by me, and it will not happen again."Looking forward, I will continue to do my part in assisting the club to remove all types of discriminatory behaviour from football."I am extremely grateful for the consistent support of Chelsea FC, the fans and my family." Buffalo talks Blue 85
Why'd he do that? I thought he'd appeal!
Madinmex 3
There is no way JT is going to receive anything but abuse from other clubs and therefore IMO (as he has decided not to appeal) this is the correct statement and one you can be sure the club had a hand in. He made his point about 'context', apologized, praised the club and just MAYBE placated some about the language he admitted to using. It will be difficult for the rags to pick holes in that. As for the clubs reaction, which again will be subject of the rags rants, why not suspend him for the next 4 games .. job done. What really pees me of is not only the racist angle, (and this must apply to all interpretations of the word, not just colour,) but the language in general used to officials which certainly do not need a 'lip reader' to understand what is being said and seen by millions !! The "respect campaign" is supposed to include all aspects of the game. I'd love to see the police, or the FA deluged with complaints via youtube or other media as to what goes on with every game. dumps 284
I think we all knew even if he appealed that he would still get the 4 match ban, but dont know why they didnt appeal so he was available to play against spurs.Oh well, Cahill's time to shine. may even see Ivanovic back at CB and Azpi getting a run out at RB.
