He got like 200 minutes of playing time in his first 2-3 months at Chelsea then none. It's hard to say he failed here, just like Pato. They didn't get a chance to show their values.

They were both not fit. That was their main problem.

Reportedly they were not fit, yes. I highly doubt that Falcao was injured all season then started playing like this in August.
