Except Bale didn't have a massive injury. :clown:

Costa wasn't injured for half a year. Rooney and Reus if they were injured for that long, at least they was young when he was injured. Falcao is 29. Bastian is a midfielder.

You are comparing a FRIENDLY match? :clown:

You are dissing Wales when they are a decent team with Bale and Ramsey, AND it was at Wales' home ground... :clown: :clown: :clown:

I didn't call him a mistake, I said he hasn't been shining lights ever since he moved to the Bridge, which is indeed - fact. Jose can make mistakes, he is a human, not a magician - fact. I trust Jose, but for this particular transfer which could see Loic Remy leave/go on loan out of Chelsea I do not agree with.

but he did have a poor year did not he? thats what matters? bale's performances were worse than young so we should start comparing them, was not that your logic behind comparing falcao and crouch. :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown:

a midfielder like bastian (B2B) has more running to do, more challenges to put, so... :clown: :clown: :clown:

atleast get your fucking stats right u moron.. it was a euro qualifier not a friendly. just goes on to show exactly what u know.

copa america is being held in chile right? so thats their home ground. a below half strength mexico.. so i guess, vidal and sanchez are useless.

someone not agreeing with this transfer - fair enough.

somone comparing falcao to crouch - idiot-fact. get it!!!???

One more thing that gets overlooked is our late game plan b with two strikers up top. Remy and Costa never worked at all, for a two-striker system to work you need to have an understanding and form a partnership. Few can argue that Costa and Falcao never had that at Atleti. Its an important detail if you ask me...

So you are telling me last season Falcao performed better than Crouch. :clown:

What season and how long was he injured?

Except Chile are on top of their group. So they are not useless. And just because they are hosts, doesn't mean they are invincibles. And at least they didn't LOSE unlike Colombia. :clown:

You are one of the fools who are blinded with the branded name "Falcao". Just like fools who were blinded with Torres. Until I see his lethal form back after that injury, he is a Torres 2.0.

And if we are comparing last season between Falcao and Crouch, why not. This discussion about Falcao performances AFTER his injury.

no, what i am telling you is that comparing falcao to crouch is as idiotic as comparing bale to young cos one had a bad season and another had a good one. :clown: :clown: :clown:

hE has been injured continously for the last couple of seasons.

so if they had lost, they would have been useles.. guess that makes hazard useles... :clown: :clown: :clown:

so by "you are one of the fools", do you even mean JOSE MOURINHO? did he get fooled by the brand name too? so basically, anyone who comes back from an injury and does not perform well is now a torres.. people are so bright these days.. :clown: :clown: :clown:

so u can predict falcao's 2nd season after his injury.. hmmm.. wow!!! you are a psychic!!! or i guess no player ever has had a poor year after an injury.. hmmm,, :clown: :clown: :clown:

Young had a good season? Hahahaha! Good one. And even if Bale had a BAD season, he still managed to score 17 goals last season. Bad comparison.

But Young isn't amazing. He isn't even United's best 3 players.

YOU are the one saying the word USELESS here. Stop putting words in my mouth, clown. They would have UNDER PERFORMED. Sanchez and Hazard has underperformed in those games, but overall if we look back the past 365 days they have done well. Falcao overall underperformed.

No, I mean YOU. YOU = didierforever.

And Mourinho knows he is taking a risk here. That's why we are going to loan him. If he bought him, he would have been in deep trouble if he turns out to be a flop. And IMO, this isn't a risk worth taking even if it's a loan. Is he loaning Falcao for more shirt sales? Most likely.

You are fucking forgetting he is 29. :clown: If he was like 25, I would have been skeptical but kept my mouth shut.

did not young displace ADM for like half a season? well, i guess only goals and not performances matter. kane/sanchez/aguero were better than hazard.

so again, 1 year defines a player.. hmmm.. thank god, the real world does not work that way.

but i mean, even jose thinks like that. thats the only reason he would have bought falcao. what other reason could it be? u tell me. why would jose want falcao? is it cos he is still a very good player and jose knows exactly how good he is and that he can get that out of him. cos there is a saying "form is temporary, class is permanent". LOOLOLOLOL... another one who believes in the t-shirt stories.. i guess roman would have said to the board "listen guys, i am going bankrupt, so want to sell more shirts" :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown:

is not bastian 30? oh well... :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown: :clown: i guess by the end of the season, u ll wish that u had kept your mouth shut.

ADM isn't United's top three players. He himself underperformed. In fact so bad, that they choose to use Young instead.

Performances DOES matter. AS WELL AS GOALS. Crouch as a STRIKER did better than Falcao as a STRIKER last season. In terms of performance AND goals.

Bale's performance in RM is bad. But that's because RM has set the bar so high in terms of player performances. Their fans booed Ronaldo THEIR BEST PLAYER several times this season. If Bale was at a different PL club like say Chelsea, United or even Arsenal, they would be HAPPY with his performance. Bale scored SEVENTEEN goals, but RM said he performed bad?

29 YEARS OLD.

When we bought Torres, Torres just came back from injury as well. It wasn't even a YEAR before we decided to snatch him off Loserfools. Thank GOD this is a loan.

LOL at this saying "Form is temporary, class is permanent". That doesn't apply to EVERYBODY i.e. Torres. Why does this apply to Falcao especially when he is 29?! I'm going to keep repeating that he is 29 and 29 for a striker means he is getting old. When we got Torres, at least he was younger.

Are you silly? :clown: You don't have to be bankrupt start thinking how to get MORE moneyarrow-10x10.png. Chelsea isn't just a football club, it's also a business. With plans of a rebuilding our stadium for example, we need to make much more money to sustain ourselves. Falcao is a brand name, we are certainly guaranteed more shirt sales if we get him.

Bastian isn't a striker, he's a midfielder. As a lethal striker, you need to have clinical finishing which Falcao lacks at the moment. Stop comparing a midfielder to a striker as they have DIFFERENT ROLES. :clown:

so let me get this straight. our board said, fuck the yokohama deal, fuck the awesome transfers that we have made like luiz for 50mil, fuck the general proze money and tv money we are getting, we want to make money off falcao. not reus, not bale not pogba but falcao. and whats even more awesome in that, jose said "you guys are right, i dont need a 3rd striker who i feel is good, even though remy and costa were injured together for a lot of matches, i too want to sell shirts"... yipeee!!! :clown: :clown: :clown:

so basically, all of your arguments are based on torres... hmmm.. awesome.. lets judge everyone from torres' perspective.. i mean life IS that simple, right...

ADM is a world class player.. young outperformed him.. so by your definition ADM sucks, right?

bale did not just perform badly according to RM level, his performances were down right shit. only reason he got 17 goals was cos your team beats anither 7-0, you generally end up on the scoresheet. remember torres also scored 22 goals in 12-13, did not mean he was worth shit.

again, midfielder needs to be more fit, an injury would ruin a midfielder's career even more than a strikers. also, how is falcao's finishing and clinicality related to his injury? LOL... you just basically said that he was in poor form, and again, forms can change quicker than people's opinion about players in today's world. so stop giving asenine arguments.

again, i want you to explain to me, why would jose risk getting a loanee who apparently is done and dusted and out of it over options like benteke, lacazette. please go on and tell me

A few points on the discussion:

  • IMO all our strikers are a bit injury-prone (assuming Falcao indeed joins)
  • They are all good players regardless of form
  • even when not scoring Falcao movement wasn't too bad and his work rate was there.

Falcao is a bet because of his injuries and so was Torres, but the similarities end here: the problem wasn't betting on Torres, but the contract duration and wages. Falcao will be on loan which makes him a good bet in my book.

There are many other variables unknown to us which pertain the deals between clubs, agents, and scouts. Favors are currency too in football.

You don't know how a business works. :clown: You want to get much income as much as possible. So yes this Falcao shirt sales is one great source of income. The Yokohama deals, the Luiz deal and all the other deals DO help (no way I implied they don't) as they also make Chelsea richer. We have to soon stop relying on Roman's money for things, we cannot become a Leeds in future.

Pires, Eduardo and perhaps Cisse also apply to this "Form is temporarily, class is permanent" bullshit after they got injured.

For last season, yes. He sucked. Or you're telling me now he did amazing last season?

And there's a reason why RM offloaded him, they don't see him as good anymore. I'm not saying he isn't a world class player, but if RM didn't want him anymore...

I STILL don't know why we are still going on about Bale here, but if Bale had a bad season, it wasn't as bad as Falcao's. Young for the majority of the season didn't do anything special either. So Bale may have had a bad season, but Falcao and Young DIDN'T do ANY better.

I know it didn't worth shit about Torres, but that was expected since he been underperforming consistently for his entire stay at Chelsea.

Strikers need to have pace, finishing and have an instinct of where the ball is going to land in the box. Falcao showed almost none of that last season.

Brand name. Because that's the only reason why I think Jose and Chelsea are after him. Maybe to help Cuadrado as well.

Anyway you know what? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. You say give him a chance? Alright then. You can have the last say if you want, but I decided to just watch now. At least I shouted out my opinion to everyone and will say I TOLD YOU SO when we reach December.

and i am guessing u do know how it works, right? so tell me exactly how many shirts do chelsea need to sell to recuperate the 10mil we are apparently spending on falcao this season. also tell me whats chelsea's cut in this deal since i dont think how much we will be getting.

here's a little eye opener for u

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2013/9/6/4702220/no-fernando-torres-doesnt-earn-chelsea-21m-in-annual-shirt-sales.

how surprising that jose and the board will be willing to take a chance on our PL and CL chances just to sell jerseys.. :clown: :clown: :clown: ohh dude, seriously stop..

DD got injured in 10-11, won us the CL 11-12.. so sssssshhhhhhhh...

so your definition of a player is limited to his last year's performance. hmmmm.. maybe u can shorten it to a match or so... would make as much sense.

yes, RM offloaded him and wanted a new shiny toy in james, look where that landed them. considering they won a copa del ray and CL double compared to NOTHING this season, well, i guess that does tell us something, does not it?

i am bringing bale into the equation cos you are talking shit. one season does not define a player. one season did not make falcao = crouch. and thats the bloody reason that jose fucking mourinho, the best manager in the world has got him in our squad!!!!

pace - related to age and injury, but how is finishing and instinct based on injuries? that is more to form and confidence. we all know how good falcao is in those departments. look at totti or toni. so basically you have nothing here.

oh dear mother of god!!! so chelsea have to play both their matches against united without costa or remy. in one of the matches we play a 37 year old DD, and in the other we play a CAM-oscar as a ST. against arsenal in what could have been a very tricky match if we had lost, we played DD cos again both strikers are injured, and yet you go on and on and on about how chelsea and jose mourinho have bought falcao 1. just for his brand name, 2. for shirt sales, 3. to help cuadrado (when there are rumors that he himself might be on the way out). :wank2::wank2::wank2:

how difficult is it to just say, that we bought falcao cos jose feels he still has got quality.

fair enough, i ll support him no matter what. and come december, i expect most of the people to be singing jose's praises about his absolute coup to buy falcao.

Time for some David Hume. We do not know how Falcao will bounce back. He had a horrible injury, was rushed back, etc, etc.

“If we take in our hand any volume; of divinity or school metaphysics, for instance; let us ask, Does it contain any abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number? No. Does it contain any experimental reasoning concerning matter of fact and existence? No. Commit it then to the flames: for it can contain nothing but sophistry and illusion.”

That is this thread. Concerning Falcao the proof of the pudding is in the eating. And it is a loaned pudding. Lionsden has a point about the consequence on youngsters though, and even much more so on Rémy imo.

We will have to taste that pudding guys. Conjecture and speculation will not get us closer to the answer. We aren't a youngster team, it seems. I hope we can be a winning one. #hopeshortermdoesntbiteusintheasseventually
