Fernando 6,585
Man City is the worst club you can go to. You play well, they replace you. If you play poorly, you get no second chance. Just look at Zabaleta, Rodwell didn't even get one chance. You only get to play if you're a big name. That's what Ba said about us. And with Torres it was the same shit. Because of his name and how much he cost he played at the cost of Sturridge. Sadly that's how modern clubs are run these days.
DavidEU 2,023
If they purchase Falcao, then yeah, they need to raise a lot of money from player sales. But I'm sure Milner, Negredo, Richards and even Boyata could be sold pretty quickly. If they're taking up this 'option to loan for €20m' then selling Negredo may suffice.Personally, I still think he'll go to Madrid. Other than Benzema, they don't have an out and out centre forward do they? Might not feel they need one, but certainly is more realistic than City. He'll probably stay for there for a season and then make his dream move to Madrid.
Myself 793
Same as us or any top club really. Costa plays bad this season we go out and sign someone to replace him next year, not giving him a 2nd chance. Big clubs can't afford to just give players chance over and over again until they prove themselves unless they are big names signed for huge fees.Unfortunately. But just look at Man City, they have the best strike force in England, why the fuck are they in for Falcao? They have so much money they don't know what to do with it. Why are they buying Falcao? They have Jovetic, Negredo, Dzeko and Aguero. Football is all about money, no passion for the game. It's not the same game it was 10 years ago. It's shambolic. Agüero is always injured, Jovetic is not a CF(he is playing on the wing right now). Dzeko and Negredo are good but Falcao is way better.. It's a great piece of buisness for them to sell Negredo and loan Falcao.

DavidEU 2,023
Also if you were Dzeko or Jovetic, who have both started the season brightly, and your club bought Falcao two days before the close of the window, you'd storm in to Pellegrinis office ASAP and ask to move. Wouldn't you?By the way, L'Equipe are mentioning Juventus as well as Real Madrid. No mention of City.

BlueLyon 9,359
I will probably get some stick for saying that but if City signs Falcao while we sign Remy, that could decide the title. There is a lot of IFs, but City strike force will be extremely good then, not to say that they already won it last year with prety much same team, that is now improved in defence and midfield.Im very against nonsense spending, but sometimes if there is quality player who will improve you available, maybe you take that option. Last time we won title, we spent like crazy, Im not pointing that we should spend alot again, because that is not the right way (just look at united), but to invest properly. If we win league because of Falcao, or if we lose it because Remy wont do well in Costa absence, Im sure no one will say it was wrong to bring Falcao. Lot of IFs, but hardly would Falcao do worse than Remy, however Remy could cost us points and then there is no return.Anyway, Remy is here and I hope he does well in next seasons, help us to win lot of trophies. If someone is not good enough they will be replaced, that's it.. If we had the oppurtunity to sign Messi we would get rid of Schürrle or Oscar or anyone. I think people need to relax on demanding 'name' strikers (because that's what Falcao is until he proves he's fully recovered from a bad injury) and trust Jose and the board. Matic for example, wasnt expensive but I was completely for this signing, as I saw him alot and knew he will be great under Mou. I just dont feel the same for Remy. And apparently Falcao is available for loan, that wouldnt be too expensive (I dont believe that 20m rumour), while I would never pay 60m for him...that case, I would go with Remy then.City strikers are quality, its not like they will play like today every game. Almost each scored 20 goals last term after all...
