Amblève. 4,995
He hasn't played a full game this season. The need for him to make an immediate impact in the world's hardest league, and the CL ain't easy. When he finally gets the chance to play an entire game, he might be able to take a chance or two.As far as I know he has half a season at Chelsea under his belt already plus a pre-season. In neither did he show aynthing significant (or promising) to make the claim that he has the potential to be more than a squad player. Trying to score goals is harder than defending.P.S. There is no problem comparing players, but they should play in a similar position (Schurrle, Willian, etc). robsblubot 3,595
I beg to differ. Trying to score goals is harder than defending.True and factually verifiable: the transfer market.Attacking players are far more valuable. (best defender vs best attacker, etc). The squad was too strong for this match; it was essentially our starting XI. LAM09
Amblève. 4,995
He has hardly played. How can he show promise with limited playing time?He played over 500 minutes for us last season, 5 out of 11 times he played more than 60 minutes and he didn't show much aside from regular brainfarts when it comes to end product. It was his first games in the Pl so I give him a pass but he had a pre-season to prove himself and he simply didn't. The majority of our AMs arrived late into pre-season so he had the perfect opportunity to show Mou that he can rely on him which he didn't really do. The Skipper 20,609
Why are people complaining about Salah not getting a chance as if the players ahead of him aren't playing better than him?
Amblève. 4,995
Did you know he was fasting for most of preseason? Then he's pretty unlucky that Ramadan was during summer this year. But that's life. If we factored in all the reasons why players aren't making it at big clubs then we'd see these big teams playing with a different starting-11 every weekend since, you know, everybody deserves a fair chance. Special Juan 28,141
It's simple why he isn't starting......Hazard, Willian and Oscar all playing superb football right now. Even though it was Maribor last night the group is still too open to take risks by dropping the likes of Hazard, Oscar or Willian, we need to be safe and secure our passage through before shifting things about.Salah will get chances, unfortunately for him, right now we are playing some superb football......we shouldn't even be thinking of swapping anything right now. LAM09 7,051
Why are people complaining about Salah not getting a chance as if the players ahead of him aren't playing better than him?If we are reffering to them scoring, they aren't playing that well at all. It's the manager's prerogative as to what he is looking for on the right wing.

BloodIsBlue 291
Did you know he was fasting for most of preseason?Did you know there are training methods to help Muslim athletes cope with this (its not optimal of course but strategies exist)? Ramadan this year was from June 28 to July 28, during which the World Cup was running for half the time. There may also be a benefit of mental and spiritual fortitude which is never a bad thing. Nike 373
I don't really understand why we're having this debate over Salah's playing time after every single game. He gets his chances, and despite fitting our system (inbefore someone claims this is a Mata or KDB situation...) he doesn't take them; hence he's sitting on the bench. It's not rocket science. When he proves that hes's good enough to get regular playing time Mou will give him a fair chance to prove himself even more on a regular basis. Until then he's a mere squad player and rightly so.Its because they are salah fans....

iseah100 5,612
I'm not even comparing salah to anyone else ... and haven't said that he deserves to be there instead of this or that player ..i don't know which part you didn't understand in my previous comment but it seems you understands nothing by pushing " ake" & " solanke" names in salah's thread for comparison ...I'm not comparing them either, but they deserved to play. Salah will get his chances, especially with the injuries we're being hit with. No need to be upset.
