What a fightback! Chelsea have stolen this FA Youth Cup trophy at the death as Dominic Solanke fires high into the net to make it 5-3 to Chelsea on the night and 7-6 on aggregate. The full time whistle goes and the young Fulham players understandably look utterly dejected.

Solanke - born fininsher, Izzy - terrific hold-up play

Amazing Duo!!

Never been overly impressed with Izzy but he did well tonight. Looked a lot more decisive than he has done previously and that was a nice ball into Colkett.

Actually rate Colkett too. It's like having a second crack at developing McEachran.

Would certainly like us to have a crack at Fulham's number 10. Reminiscent of Lallana.

Without Boga and Kiwomya as well. Arguably our 2 most important players in this youth cup team. Solanke has so much potential. It is frightening. He is not even old enough to be considered a 1st year scholar yet. He still has 2 more years left of playing in this tournament. Same with the likes of Dasilva, Musonda and Colkett as well IIRC. The talent we have in our youth ranks is amazing. That Roberts guy of Fulham was very impressive to.

3rd time in 5 years we have won this competition. Excellent applr.gif

There are some real gems in that team as well. Loftus-Cheek and Christensen are probably the best known ones but Dasilva might be the best left-back to have come through in some time with a bit more time there.

Aina is a bundle of energy, Musonda is prodigiously talented, Solanke is a natural scorer, Colkett can pick a pass probably better than anyone and then you've got the likes of Kiwomya and Boga who weren't involved.

Now we need the under-21s to do the business against United in the final.

Like Norwich last year the tie should have been over by halftime off the first leg, we got away with it this time thankfully. The progress with our youth system is mindblowing, 5 finals and 3 wins in 7 years is unbelievable, the next step is getting the best one's in the first team. We are also the first team to reach 3 YC finals in a row since the Busby babes.

On another note that Roberts kid for Fulham is something very special.
