mkh 708
💥🔵Chelsea have secured a short-term front-of-shirt sponsor in a deal worth £15m. The club's total assets are valued at £104.5m a year, compared to Arsenal's £164m. The club is still seeking long-term sponsors (FOS+sleeve) to replace tech giants from Sweden (IFS AI) & Vietnam (FPT). The club also needs to find an alternative training kit sponsor as their £12m-a-year deal with BingX expires in June.
Vesper 30,822
EXCL: Confidence on long term Red Bull FOS sponsor Some fresh info on the situation https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/excl-confidence-on-long-term-red Chelsea’s front of shirt sponsorship situation is one that is ongoing, despite having a deal with IFS.ai that will at least see them through until the end of this season. Chelsea have rebuffed claims that the deal with the AI software company will pay just £15m until the end of the season as part of a front-of-shirt sponsorship. The club have put out, through journalists, that the front-of-shirt sponsorship deal is worth ‘significantly more than £15m’ for this season. Either way, it’s not really being looked at as a long term front of shirt sponsorship deal and will soon turn into a separate partnership. SPTC Sources understand that IFS are unlikely to continue as front of shirt sponsors for Chelsea beyond the season, although it has been stressed that there is a chance that the deal can be extended for a further season, if it needs to be. Our sources have also heard that there is confidence of a long term deal being struck with Red Bull for front of shirt sponsorship. It hasn’t been confirmed yet, but this is likely to depend on Champions League qualification and also, what the final settlement will be from the current charges against the club. If Red Bull do not come in at the end of this season, this is where IFS could extend, and Red Bull could be put on hold even further. On Orcale, our sources are told that the FOS deal is likely be with Red Bull rather than Orcale, but Orcale have still not been completely ruled out to us - it could still be some kind of joint venture but Red Bull alone is now much more likely. As reported, a deal with Red Bull was very close recently, but for a few reasons, it did not get done. Chelsea still now looking to complete the long term FOS deal with Red Bull, and hopefully it can come in at the end of this season. If a deal with Red Bull does not work out, then Chelsea are still also in talks with some major Airlines as a back up option. But as also mentioned, there could still be an option to extend the IFS FOS for another season. We will see what happens.
