Apparently this is what Arsenal's 'supporters trust' do.

It's raison d'etre is apparently simple - We envisage a future where the supporters of Manchester United FC have a meaningful ownership stake in the club.

That doesn't seem likely in our case so I'm still not sure what the point of the whole thing is.

Yup, that was my concern - the trust will be paid lip service whilst decisions are continually made without any thought or inclusion...

It's like a cleaner trying to get face time with the president of a company - not gonna happen (although it should)!!!

Well the Trust did meet w/ Gorlay last month. IMHO that is a start for a positive dialogue w/ the fans & the Board.

Signed up to the trusts membership a few days ago. Think its a positive move and looking forward to seeing how it progresses. First meeting was packed I believe and people had to be turned away such was the interest

Maybe they could get a member on here so they could explain exactly what they want to do. Right now they seem to have a problem communicating EXACTLY what their aims are.

OK, so I have no issue with a Supporter's Club or a Voice of the Supporters. But earlier there was mention of EQUAL membership and voice from ALL members across the WORLD. As a loyal Chelsea fan, from the U.S., I don't think it's right that my vote counts just as much as the guy who shows up to every game because he's saved his entire life for season tickets and would punch anyone out over insulting his club. In other words, if membership and voting is TOTALLY OPEN, and there is a possible POWER to be had from voting, then it would frighten me to think that perhaps (for an extreme example) the entire League's other fans could easily sabotage this CLUB's INTENT.

I'm interested to know what you all think of this concern.
