Steve 10,227
LoopyLatic from Wiganer.net has kindly answered some questions for our opening Premier League clash with Wigan! How long have you supported Wigan and what made you become a fan? Supported Wigan for 8 years, since I was eight, when I really started getting not football. I was born in Wigan, well Billinge to be precise, which is the reason I support Wigan. What’s the best type of Wigan pie? As I moved away to Chester when I was 4, I sadly haven't had many opportunities in terms of Wigan pies, apart from when I go to games.Do you think Wigan will be involved in another relegation battle and how do you always manage to save yourself even though you are the most likely to go down? I don't think that we will struggle this season in terms of relegation threat. I just can't see it after the world class quality of the team towards the end if last season. However, I disagree wit some Wigan fans saying that we are contenders for European football. If we can keep Martinez at he club for the foreseeable future, however, I think that it is a strong possibility in a few seasons time.Regarding the whole Moses situation, Do you think he is Chelsea quality? I think Moses is a great young talent, but up against Chelsea's selection of wingers? Mata, hazard, Marin, etc? You could probably buy a blanket for a fiver to warm the bench instead. If you were to sell Moses to Chelsea, how much do you think a fair price would be? I think 9-10 million is a fair price, considering he has only really had 1 good, albeit inconsistent, season in the premiership, although he has bags of potential.Would you of considered Romelu Lukaku on loan before he moved to West Brom? I like Lukaku, but I am not sure if he would have fit into our style. Might have been worth a punt on loan though.Does Martinez plan to start with the 343 they turned to in the run-in last season? I don't see any reason why Martinez wouldn't play the 343, after the success we have had with it. It has the added advantage that I think we haven't been Sussed out, and the formation is difficult to counteract.Who is your favourite Chelsea player and why? Lampard is my favourite Chelsea player, as he was a legend to me in my youth. One of my all time favourite England players, I remember my first ever football shirt was the 2006 world cup shirt, with Lampard's name on the back. Finally, your prediction for the game and who will score? Tomorrow, I like to think the players will want revenge for the defeat at Stamford bridge last season from the 2 offside goals, and that with lots of new signings, the Chelsea squad may not have quite gelled yet. I'm going to be cheeky and say a 2-1 win to Wigan, with Di Santo, McCarthur, and Mata (if he plays) to score.Click here to view the article
Strike 7,489
"LoopyLatic" anyway, i think we have to be wary of the 3-4-3 today. if they overpower our double pivot, we are in big trouble

Steve 10,227
Do Wigan only have optimistic 16 year old fans?I don't think thats being too optimistic personally. He's right, as we have seen in a few pre season games, the squad has plenty of work to do before we are that unstoppable force.

Dylan_91 90
We also seem to struggle against wigan. I have a feeling it might be a draw today
Spike 12,049
ATTENTION WIGAN SUPPORTERS: Do you lads as Wigan supporters call yourselves ''wiggers''? If not you should, it's catchy and humerous despite the racial connotations.
