Why do we sign so many young center backs? We have too many as it is.

I've thought about it myself, but it makes sense. The more potentials you sign, the bigger the chance that one comes good and profits the club through talent or financially. It's not expensive to sign and upkeep them, but it takes only one jackpot to compensate it all. This point was well presented in the "how chelsea have found a way past ffp".

Basically its the lottery, you pick 49594949648 center backs, sign them all and see which ones come through. Makes sense, unless they all come through and we need to play a 10-0-0/

Nice to see Slovenian player in Cfc :)

But he will have to train 10times more than in Maribor, that was problem for many Slovenian players when playing for bigger clubs. I hope he goes other way and in 5 years comes to first squad.

It's a shame he's Bosnian mate, and he considers himself that way.

Then why doesn't he play for the Bosnian National team, U-18s or whatever?

I've met the guy in real life. The Slovenian youth teams offer more compatibility and practice and is more easy for him as he lives in Slovenia already for fees and travelling to Bosnia etc.

He will play for the National Team.

He could have a change of heart...Or he could fail...Nothing is set in stone.

Situation in Slovenia is that most of players are from Former Yugoslavian countries. They moved to Slovenia before Yugoslavia collapsed and they still count themselves as Bosnians, Serbians, Macedonians, Croatians and so on, because they feel they're alienatied from Slovenian society. Their parents usually work as low payed workers (mothers are cleaners and fathers are engineers). They usually have bad marks at school and only find themselves in sport, but mostly they end up having only middle school finished and nothing from their football career. They end up as the criminals or the same as they parents.

Here they are not paid at all, they don't get their wages, because some Slovenian tycoons, which are owners of building corporations don't pay them and only use them.

That's not the slightest racist and ignorant because my uncle who lives in Maribor makes hundreds of thousands a year and is a successful businessman... What about Kurtic, Handanovic etc who play for Slovenia and aren't "alienated". Idiot. My brother in Slovenia finished the University in Ljubljana with a degree in Medicine and he works as a doctor. You're obviously just a racist moron

Check definition of racist, before you say something: a person who believes in racism, the doctrine that a certain human race is superior to any or all others.

And why should I listen to you? You don't even live here and make your facts on few people you know. Situation is like that, wheter you like it or not. I didn't say that they're bad people or anything. I actually repsect engeers who are working their ass off to get money for their family. And I say most of them are like that, not all, of course you will find successful people. You're clown.
