misschief 24
Whilst I agree Grant doesn't seem to be cutting it at the moment I feel Roman is to blame for his sanctioning of transfers this season. We were damn close to signing the best right back in the world Dani Alves...we got Belletti who has been good but goes missing in the big games. Ben Haim, Sidwell, Pizarro all not up to it - almost journeymen. Malouda - don't get me started. Anelka - great but the system doesn't suit him. Ivanovic and di Santo not played yet and probably won't this season. I wonder what the signings will be like in the summer? Cant have it both ways. Roman was slated for not handing over money in January so he cant be slated when he sanctions transfers as well. Fact is, Jose was not a master in the transfer market, bought us some talent, no question there, but my god he bought us a lot of shit in his time as well. Was it just Roman who put his foot down over Alves or was that agreed? they were trying to take the right royal piss out of us over him and we had to have a cut off point. Belletti was by no means Jose's worst decision. Someone said to me the other day that Jose inherited a much better squad than Grant and I think Id have to agree with that overall, but the fact is, it doesnt really matter - Grant is not good enough. FACT. As for Roman, it would seem he wouldnt know a good manager if he was bitten on the arse by one.
MikeCFC 45
Agree with most of that, but to be fair it isnt just about what happened to Chelsea is it? that was football all over really. Thatcher did everything possible to take the passion out of the game and without the passion, you lose the hardcore fans. Yeah ok, the crowd trouble wasnt to her taste, but thats because supporters used to give a shit - take that out of the equation and what does it leave us with? Bland, sanitised grounds full of bland, unemotional fuckwits.Agree with most points misschief. But the football violence had nothing to do with football in general. The football ground was used as a platform for the working class football fan to vent their anger on the way Thatcher undermined them and their families. The last straw is when she drove the real, passionate football fan out by making football fashionable, thus the ultimate knife in the back to price out the real football fan that cares about their club.It was Thatcherite cunts like Bates that were her allies in pricing out the football fan. We simply did'nt stand a chance.
Fulham Broadway 17,363
Mind you Bates with his electric fence -...maybe if we had electric seats now it'd get some of the comatose fuckers on their feet....

Jose made some very poor signings, and he did inherit a better squad than what Grant has, but Grant plainly isn't going to be good enough. We will get a real sense of Roman by watching how he deals with the current situation! He got rid of Ranieri to bring in a better manager. We had great success. For whatever reason that relationship broke up! Roman has made a massive balls up by giving Grant the job. Now we see what sort of person Roman is, will he get rid of Grant? And if so who does he bring in?

EskWeston 696
Are you kidding me? limited transfer fee? How much money did he spend before Roman tightened the purse strings? Lol, Jose spent a fortune on players in his time thats for sure, especially that first season where big big money was payed for people like Carvalho, Ferreira, Drogba ect... Jose did something special with our club. And now i want to see a proper manager come in and take over where Jose left off, we need to have someone who knows how to manage a big club with big players and develop talents into big players. Absolutely, Jose did something very special - faults and all he remains the best manager we've ever had - sadly Grant's slowly dismantled all the hard work Jose put in and thats reflected not only in recent poor form and embarrassing results but also in the players faces and body language. The 'team' who never knew when they were beaten, now look a shadow of their former selves. Whether that 'team' still exists and can be resurrected will be down to Roman. Either he appoints someone who knows how to really manage a squad in our position or we'll be losing a lot more than just the odd FA cup tie. I don't think Roman can seriously justify keeping Grant on! We have no chance in the CL and PL and we blew 2 seriously good chances of winning the domestic cups, we will probably never get an easier shot at the domestic cup double.... BlueLion. 21,491
Ten Cate and Clark might actually inspire the players. Steve's body language has been so negative since Grant became manager, although I can't blame him.
changingman2000 35
Well, It dont look like he's going to be sacked is he. Surely it would have happened by now. Yet another slap in the face from the Russian Jew. I think its high time he fucked off out of our lives. If he stormed out of Villa park after watching us lose 0-2, what the fuck did he think watching on the TV on Saturday? Or against the bin dippers at home, or against Rottenham at Wembley, Or against the arse at the new Library? The man is a cunt, pure and simple
Stamford 3
I'm not going to go down the "I told you so route" But on the last website I posted after our first five games, plus the pre-season, that things werent right, didnt seem right, No atitude from the team, every game was a chore and from certain circles I pretty much got shouted down for my comments. I was one who shouted you down CM and I will be the first to apologise as I said I would, if you were proven right. You were of course spot on he is a useless prick and I am now fully behind the "Sack Grant NOW" campaign.

Fulham Broadway 17,363
They say it gets darkest before the dawn, but if this is true, its beyond a fucking joke now ! From The Independent; 'Grant may also try to bring in an Israeli coach to work alongside him. The two names mentioned by sources are Eyal Lachman and Ronny Levy.' Its in the Guardian as well; 'Grant would like to bring in another coach this summer, one from his native Israel'
