There is a new version of former US President Donald Trump’s so-called peace plan for Ukraine, which includes a proposal to position European troops in a buffer zone between Ukraine and Russia, according to The Telegraph.

Details of Trump’s plan emerged after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that any attempt to make peace by appeasing Russia would mean "suicide" for Europe

Three members of Trump’s team told the publication that this plan version involves freezing the current front line, with Ukraine agreeing to postpone its ambitions to join NATO for 20 years.

In exchange, the US would provide Ukraine with weapons to deter Russia from renewing hostilities. However, the US would not supply troops to patrol or secure the buffer zone or finance such a mission.

"We are not sending American men and women to uphold peace in Ukraine. And we are not paying for it. Get the Poles, Germans, British and French to do it," a member of Trump’s team said

The man is straight for the funny farm but military suicide as such for Europe I don't believe it.
However political suicide for Europe is more that possible.
There will be two or three Trump client states and Putin will try to make the rest into a sphere of influence, using AFD and other such proxies.
What is left may go communist or "axis of evil".

‘If that dude’s mama gets deported, that’s on him’:

On Thursday evening, I went on the Roland Martin Unfiltered show to talk about why Latinos overwhelmingly shifted to the right and voted for Donald Trump. Martin, whom I’ve long respected as an analyst on politics back since I was a teenager, had the same response a lot of other people did.

“What the hell happened? Explain it to us,” he asked me.

I noted how Trump’s appeal is largely driven by polarization via education, given that people with college degrees and advanced degrees largely broke for Kamala Harris whereas those without a bachelor’s degree voted for Trump. Latinos are one of the groups least likely to have a college degree.

Understandably, Martin then highlighted multiple stories of Latinos who know they are at risk of being sent out of the United States under Trump’s proposed mass deportation plans but who still voted for the man.

“What the fuck?” he asked, bluntly.

But plenty of Latinos tend to think that they are different from “those types” of immigrants.

Families who came to the United States before it began to tighten its borders or who came here legally look upon families who came here illegally with supsicion. Plenty of border patrol agents themselves are Hispanic.

Martin said to me: “If that dude’s [a Trump voter’s] mama gets deported, that’s on him and I’m gonna play Scarface’s ‘No Tears,’” essentially saying that once Latinos who voted for Trump suffer in the wake of such policies, there will be no sympathy.

This has been the response from plenty of liberal pundits. Jim Acosta of CNN, who is Cuban-American, asked on CNN, “A lot of folks are asking on the Democratic side: Why would they [Latinos] do this to themselves?”

David Corn, the Washington bureau chief for Mother Jones, tweeted: “Perhaps massive deportations will affect how they see Trump.”

This is dumb. Why would a Latino be in favor of deporting immigrants. Simply they are destroying the markert.

Example my wife in Panama she was living legally and then came the Venezuela and destroyed the market. And they didn't have any legal status.

It's cheaper to get the immigrants then a legal latino.

Yes some Hispanics may regret voting for the 80 year old if they or their relatives get booted out.

I remember my first time in California and Arizona in the 90s, driving early through LA etc there were all these Hispanics queuing outside Home Depot and Target etc to get a days work.

I remember thinking thank fuck its not that bad in the UK yet.....now guess what Zero Hours contracts is quite normal...exploitation

Me too I would have liked to see some other Greeks deported from UK because they were commies and they were putting banners KKE in the buildings behind the Albert Hall, belonging to the University of London. Mallet street refectory on the top floor whenever I was visiting was full of their posters calling for ... communist revolution, in Greek. Those commies were rich cats most of them and they were living in luxury apartments paid by the KGB.
One of them stole my notes on Heat Transfer, a second year subject. I found his adress in East London but on the way I got lost and as I was looking around there was a police station so I went in and asked for directions. Then I found the house but he was not giving the notes back. I said "I 've just been to the police" which in a way was true and he got scared and returned them.
Yet for the normal type of brexit bigot the communist activities were n't even an issue, their issue was European peoples alltogether who were -in their eyes- the "enemy".
But there are the professionals snitchers too.
My mom knew from her Greek American father such stories from old.
Among the Greeks in America were some professional snitchers. They spotted other Greeks who had -somehow- sneaked in illegally. They were promising to give work to them and were inviting them to some place. But that was a trap. They had tipped the immigration police to catch them and received rewards for that.
Back in the UK I did n't know many naturalised Greeks though. One or two maybe and some others who were third-fourth generation.
But I knew many naturalised Cypriots. Most of them were Labour but there were some commies too.
If I had the vote I 'd find it hard or even impossible to vote for a brexit party otherwise I had no preference.

They can come back in legally. Trump is not against legal immigrants which is what it should be.

Would be pretty insane if he was 🤪

I think the concern is their relatives. He said he will be ruthless from Day 1

We shall see. I think a lot of latinos are in favor of deporting criminals. But general people who are not bothering no one should be consider on supporting them.

Yes there's his rhetoric. and the reality of what he does -two different things

That said, he will want to impress his voters that he promised to boot immigrants out - so it depends on the numbers...sad if he throws out relatives of people that voted for him though

I agree but he said  on Thursday to NBC News that one of his first priorities upon taking office in January was to make the border “strong and powerful.” When questioned about his campaign promise of ''mass deportations'', Trump said his administration would have “no choice” but to carry them out. . He said earlier immigrants are ''Poisoning the blood of the Nation''.
