Spike 12,049
http://www.vice.com/...-balkans-part-1Well, a guide to Serbia, Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina.I was just wondering how, accurate, offensive and insightful this 'documentary' is. I don't want to misinformed about these type of things! Also don't forget there are 5 parts. And if you liked that one, try the hilarious Vice Guide to North Korea: http://www.vice.com/...th-korea-1-of-3And this has 3 parts. BosnianLion 232
Don't fully understand the point of the show? To dig up the grimiest parts of their particular chosen region and expose it?

Spike 12,049
Don't fully understand the point of the show? To dig up the grimiest parts of their particular chosen region and expose it?I don't think they are exposing it for the sake of exposing it, you may think it's exploitation but I don't think it is that sinister in nature. It does put into perspective how different some places in the world are and can really make someone what they have and hopefully not discriminate people based on silly differences. I hope you weren't offended by it.DId you watch all 5 parts? If you watched the North Korean Guide, he mentions how the North Koreans feel sorry for us while we feel sorry for them and how both sides are somewhat brainwashed. manpe 10,861
North Korea is a fascinating place, one of a kind nation. Not that I would want to live there, but their secrecy breeds curiosity.

Some would say divide and rule benefits the most powerful nation Because football is all that matters! Anyway I'm sure you are aware of the recent division of Sedan into North and South due to civil war?It is the most recent country to come into exsistence and I'm sure all the globe and atlas manufacturers are loving it. CheersOsim, the legendary manager of Yugoslavia said ''One thing is sure: if the players were in charge instead of the politicians, nothing could ever be like this.” (Talking about the civil war that split the old country post Glasnost)
BosnianLion 232
Osim is a Yugoslav, and a Bosnian legend. The man was always ahead of his time. A philosopher manager and a gentleman in football boots. As far as the series goes, no I was not offended, but it just seems like the show has a particular niche, and it seems to try to balance entertainment in the horror show factor with an educational or moral message and often it fails at its purpose. Bosnian Blue 2,471
I have some trouble loading the video but IMO it's impossible to create a guide to the Balkans.
