Kevin de Bruyne

I'm looking forward to De Bruyne arriving at Chelsea and I really hope he gets a chance because he could be a solution to the problem of a lack of creativity in midfield.

However to rank him above Kroos is ridiculous. As good as De Bruyne might be he has done nothing yet to warrant comparison with Kroos, one of the finest young players on the planet. The young German is nothing short of phenomenal.

Well said. To compare someone like Kevin a player we hardly have seen playing is just ridiculous, I feel.

Apparently, according to the Sun (so who knows the veracity of this claim considering the source), KDB is to be loaned the Southampton for the coming season. I would like to see him loaned to a better side than a newly promoted club, but getting playing time in the PL is what matters most at this stage of his career.

Makes sense it looks like we'll have:

- Hazard

- Mata

- Sturridge

- Hulk

- Malouda

- Marin all competing for 3 places now

Getting the (any) loan sorted so early in the transfer window says something about how much the other club wants him and how he fits into the plans of their coach. With some luck and some managerial stability he may come back with more than 10 PL starts which would be a tremendous number by our standards.

Do you think that what it is?

I always wondered why we always send players on loan so late in the transfer window, it makes no sense for all parties. In fact i believe it contributes to their poor showing on loan. I can understand our club wanting to do their diligence and finding the best option for the players, but the strategy is not working. But it is best for the players to settle in have enough time to make an impression on the manager before the season. All managers want to have their squad ready before pre season, and most team don't have the resources like we do to fill our needs in the last day of transfer window.

Here is what i believe if teams like Boltan and Wigan really needed the likes of Kakuta and PVA they would have not waited intil the last day of the window to sign them, they would have signed similar players well before the deadline. With Swansea case they actually needed McEachran, but they were not going to wait for us they ended up signing Sigurrosson.

^^ Thats what I thought when Josh went to Swansea. But I was really disappointed.

And that loan a long with the Kakuta loan to Bolton put all the myth away that Rodgers and Coyle where great with young players.

If anyone that I know that has done good with youngster has been Martin O'Neill. He did great job at A. Villa. They brought a lot of players out from the academy.

Swansea was different because Josh went there mid season with the club exceeding expectations and Allen and Briton having two of the best passing stats in not just the PL but all of Europe. Why would Rodgers change anything in his starting lineup especially that Josh was very "shy" in his contribution in the only game he was given a chance?

Dont forget about Sigurosson, who came there in January and was amazing for Swans.

Yes but how does Rodgers expect Josh to do better when he doesn't even give him more game time to familiarize himself with the team? Even when Swansea are leading 2-0, 3-0 in a game, he refused to bring him on every single time!

The problem with Swansea, as mentioned above, was that Sigurdsson was so good, he and Josh couldn't play together as they were so similar in style. I know nothing of Southampton's team (especially out wide, where I assume KdB would play, as Championship teams don't generally play with a no.10). Hopefully they need a left-sided winger...

Rodgers was being a c*nt in the way he treated Josh and rubbed salt into the wound with the redicilous comments he made that Josh is benefiting because he is getting to know a different city. But when you loan a player to another team, you don't expect him to be given time to adjust, especially if he was loaned halfway through the season. I f he does not have an almost immediate impact then the club won't give him the time and chances to prove himself simply because they won't benefit from him in the long run since he will be returning to his parent club.

Well, if the rumors are true and the do want him, then that says something about how much the need a player like him if they are looking to secure the loan so early in the window.

Poor man management on Rodgers part. If Josh was doing poorly or trying too hard to impress etc, then it is his job to guide Josh to just do his own thing, keep it simple and things like that but seems like he didn't. Never look to have full faith in him.
