No because Lamps and Chelsea announced it when the season was over. So he didn't get a proper goodbye when he was still on the pitch.

And when left the EPL at that time, there were many articles written about him, praising him etc.

But then he suddenly came back as a City player, what can they say about him as a Man City player? Mancity legend leaves EPL for the second time?

Lampard did not announce that he was leaving Chelsea until finishing up the season. Now Gerrard will leave the english football as Liverpool Legend, while Lampard will make it as City Player.
