Special Juan 28,141
One of the best signings we could of made this. It made so much sense bringing this kid back and making him number 1.By saying that I am no way saying Cech is poor because he isn't, he's still one of the best around but this kid is immense and his future is immensely bright and he can be anything he wants to be IMHO. ParNolio7 285
We won 1 league title in the 6 seasons Mourinho was gone for and we essentially became a cup team. Unless we get in Simeone/Klopp I wouldn't be very confident if he left. Simeone is the successor we need, no mistake about that.
ParNolio7 285
Wait until end of this season then evaluate, with our squad now league title is a must or CL title instead. In the current EPL I think it's impossible to say that the league title is a must. We have a brilliant team that should be capable of doing it, but the same will be said at Manchester City or even Liverpool. Man City haven't made any impressive signings but they are stable as fuck and will be as likely a competitor as any of the past years, and Liverpool have made some excellent improvements to their squad (Balotelli and the S'hampton lot) in spite of already being VERY close to the title last year. So even if losing Suarez, I think they'll be even tougher this season. So if we'd make it champions this years, it would be a massive achievement, not a logical must. And I think luck and form of the day will be more decisive than anything else.Still, Blues for champions!
ParNolio7 285
Yeas!!!!!!!! For some reason, I feel really confident about our chances when he plays. That's because even Lionel Messi doesn't have a clue what to do when Courtois gets in front of him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgRo_gXruEo
ParNolio7 285
Operation 'Play Courtois for a few games so he'll think he's starter, which leads to him signing a new contract and puts Chelsea back in a position of power' is complete. Yes, because a highly dissatisfied 100K/week player with a 5-year contract would be a brilliant idea! ...
ParNolio7 285
all the worries I had about him becoming too attached to Spain proved groundless I think he's attached to recognition & admiration more than anything. And he's getting that at Chelsea too now, so I guess he's happy.
DYC. 7,542
Yes, because a highly dissatisfied 100K/week player with a 5-year contract would be a brilliant idea! ...If Big Nose wants to leave after the completion of this simply brilliant and diabolical plan, no problem. His next club would have to make him the most expensive GK of all time though.

His next club would have to make him the most expensive GK of all time though. It's quite the other way around. You'd be stuck with an unhappy, negative, moaning player who you pay a shit load of money every week and worst thing is you can't get rid of him because no club in the world is willing nor capable to pay that much money for him. Let alone the fact that his actual value decreases every minute he sits on the bench. Kinda like ... Torres

RoyalBlues 4,050
I'm not blame him over so much goals we conceded already, because mainly are our defensive duty mistakes, but was there any goal we conceded that should have been saved by him? Do you guys think he is still in adapting period in our team?

Maybe the first goal vs Burnley, besides that the defense has just let him down.I see, I missed that game, so I couldn't make assesment on it. Glad to hear it then, I concerned about it too much, it seems.Just think, if we conceded this many with Cech as our GK, people will crying for Courtois to play at the moment. Cech is too old, blah blah. Somehow I'm glad Cech was on the bench all this time.
BlueLyon 9,359
Think he should stop at least one goal he conceded. Those goals werent his fault, and look impossible to keep on the eye, but then again certain keepers still kept impossible, saving their team even if defence was shit. But the more the better I guess.

Those goals werent his fault, and look impossible to keep on the eye,Then tell us, which goal we conceded should he have at least saved it? And why?but then again certain keepers still kept impossible, saving their team even if defence was shit.Seems like some have forgotten the great saves he made against Arfield (early in the second half vs Burnley), Nugent (one-on-one vs Leicester) and THAT Mirallas chance when the game was at 4-3 vs Everton. CHOULO19 24,332
Apart from the Eto'o goal for which he was poorly positioned in, you can't really pin any blame on him for any of the goals conceded so far. Don't think anyone can reasonably argue that he hasn't had a good start with us. Madmax and Viper22
