Play Luiz against top sides and Cahill against the so called 'minor sides'- Problem solved.

As far as i can tell, that philosophy ain't working. It's time to put faith in the youth and put performance as the criteria for squad selection. Agreed, we need experience but i reckon we can always sub any cracking eggs during the match if we are in a sticky situation. Moreover we already have a lot of experienced players who are in great form like Terry, Ivan(ignoring the last game), Rami and Torres. Having said that, we could see Rami running about and piling up red cards if he is not asked to calm down every now and then.

Counter attacks are the way to go this match. Seriously doubt us getting any forward play with possession football and crosses.

And made sure most are from penalties. If be so ironic if they lose out a cup final on penalties this season.

We won't be so lucky next time if we don't sort out our shit.

Couldn't comprehend the fact that De Bruyne's role so far this season has been on the reserve bench when he clearly is the superior option than Lamps to play in the pivot. He had been playing that role at Werder and is not alien to such a role. If Mour can make Hazard and Mata to improve their defensive game, it's just a matter of game time for Kevin to improve his defensive game and fostering a good partnership with Rami. Gundogan in the making, that lad.

Imagine if we'd have won. There is a definite tactical inadequacy in the team and hope Mour can solve that. We won't be so lucky next time around.

Preferably a DLP to partner Rami in the pivot who can stay in the centre circle and spray passes left, right and centre and also tackle.

That's the general consensus after that Newcastle match but i disagree as long as Oscar is told to stay in the hole and Mata in the wings. Shurrle provides a more direct classical wing play from one flank and Mata and Oscar can work those passes to break down the opposition on the other side. Our failures lately are never justified by blaming the partnership pf Oscar and Mata.

After yesterday, I'd like to see some creative play from the deep, hence Luiz as the deepest player in the pivot which can also unleash Ramires. Azpi starting will be a huge blow defensively as Ivanovic is better in aerial duels. Mata deserves his start after the last game. Everytime Shurrle plays, we seems to be in control. Easy pick. Easy 3 points if we can get our shit together and go up the table before December.

Azpi sitting deep leaves Ivan with most of the ball when we decide to go wide. Rest we know. Mour might be working on a system where the RB gets forward at every opportunity and LB sits deep pans defend against counters... One of the reason to pick Azpi instead of Bertrand. More like a 3 man defense where Ivan runs up and down the pitch where our formations changes constantly during attack and defense, for the worse. Such monotonous attacks seldom works and was proven yesterday.

Putting Azpi at LB just reduces our attacking options on the left and Ivanovic ends up getting most of the ball which is a waste due to his terrible crosses-at least the case in this game.

Can't work the usual counter when we have the most of the possession.

Poor technique on his crosses. I way Willian was crossing was something he can work on- low chips which rises in the air...very hard to defend. The Baggies defenders had a field day with Ivanovic with such crosses- no real intent.
