Keep in mind that this saga kept Moyes busy, he didnt sign any player(he signed one but not for the first team i think), he unsettled Rooney. Mourinho is a smart guy and he knows what he is doing, he talked to the Media like he is 100% sure Rooney will sign with Chelsea but why? He knew that if Rooney doesn't sign he would look like a fool. Conspiracy theory? NO! I read this saga as a Master-stroke from Jose, maybe people don't share the same opinion as me but that's why opinions exist. See that Rooney shoot he took from 25yard? This may be true(actually it is) but you forgot the factor that we had a huge dip of form after that 3-2 loss at Stamford Bridge. We came back from 2-0 to 2-2 in the FA Cup and they really wanted to win that league game at OT for the point record and they just didnt want to lose against us AGAIN.... On paper we should beat them without any problem but you will never know, that's football, if i could predict matches i would bet all the time.
