I think that's a bit too big of an upgrade.. Replacing an average awkward Defensive Midfielder that isn't bright on the pitch with a World Class tactically aware beast of a player is a bit too much
-
So the board decided to have one RW in Moses and 3 LWs in Hazard, Marin and Piazon in the beginning of the season. Chelsea need to sign a proper RW this transfer window.
-
Marin's performances in the past got him the nickname "The German Messi" He will never live up to that but still he has done more than shit in the past. Keeping Wigan in the PL is good and all since he's on vacation until March. Plus lead his team to international glory Yeah Mikel did that too..I think thats enough
-
Marin has played on the RW before. Plus it depends if the player cuts in or crosses. Plus we stuck Oscar on the right wing at times!
-
Marin can play on the right. I think he can be a first team player. It doesn't seem so now but I remember in Pre Season last year some people were rating him above Hazard! I know it was only pre season but I think he has potential. More potential than Moses anyway,
-
Mario Gomez and Arjen Robben were squad players for Bayern at the beginning of the season..Robben managed to cement a first team place. We need a much stronger bench and ok maybe Moses can be a decent squad player but I can't really see him come off the bench in a big game and make a real impact.
-
I just think that Marko Marin deserved to play more than Moses. Moses is a squad player at best for me.
-
Look at the Bayern Munich XI. Full of world class talent. I think Moses is a squad player at best. He is really frustrating to watch at times.
-
Marin never got a proper chance. Most(if not all) games he started the team either didn't include Mata or Hazard or both. e.g QPR, Southampton, Bucharest. He was injured for the first couple of months. I really believe that if he plays alongside Mata and Hazard or a few matches he would really start to shine. One thing to remember, Marko Marin is a winger and not a CAM. His best seasons at Werder Bremen was when he was a winger and Ozil was CAM. His dribbling, passing and crossing is much better than Moses. Moses simply works much harder and is better defensively. I really hope Chelsea give him a chance.
-
Hulk Cavani and Van Ginkel..At the same time
-
Torres leaving Chelsea would benefit both parties. However leaving to Barca is something else. Torres won't be playing regularly at Barcelona especially if Villa, Pedro and Alexis stay. Plus Fabregas can play as striker(false9). Oh and Neymar. Torres wouldn't get much playtime in World Cup year. If Torres stays he won't start most games. His wages are way too high for warming the bench. Its a tricky situation. He doesn't want to leave, the only bright side is that torres showed some great form towards the end of the season HOWEVER he also showed that the previous season..So I won't fall for that again and I REALLY REALLY hope Chelsea have learned their lesson.

I cannot believe this guy got more playing time than Marko Marin. IMO Marin is a lot more skillful and has more technical ability. Moses just tracks back and is better defensively. In his first couple of games Moses was brilliant but then it just tailed off. He always looked out of place when trying to link up with hazard and mata tbh. I think he should be sold in the summer because as hard working as he is, he just isn't Chelsea quality. He should go to a team like West Ham, Fulham or some other Mid Table team. He would fit in better and they would appreciate him more.
-
This little guy was our best player in pre season. He seemed to link up with Hazard really well. I honestly think he should have played a lot more last season. He is a lot better than Moses imo. I would like to see a Hazard, Mata, Marin attacking trio with Oscar deeper in Midfield. At least in pre season I was really looking forward to watching him play this season but injuries and fitness issues limited his playing time. I really hope Chelsea give him another chance. At least loan him out to some decent foreign team similarly to Piazon.
-
I think Cavani would be a brilliant signing..He works so hard and is always at the right place to score. However spending 50 million+ is always really risky. Plus I think Chelsea need a world class DM more than a striker.
-
Well they did spank Barcelona and they beat Juventus pretty comfortably. So you should see where I'm coming from
-
I really think the 2012/13 season was a golden opportunity to bring a couple of youth players. I think Ake could have had a lot more game time and I honestly think he would do a better job than the disinterested Mikel. He could be a player who would solve some of our Pivot problems
-
I really think Chelsea need a world class DM more than anything. Possibly a deep lying playmaker since Ramires really looks uncomfortable when Chelsea are trying to break down defenses. If Chelsea get that and a decent striker I think the Chelsea Spine would be good enough to win the Premier League. We also need more useful squad players. The good news is that now that Chelsea got rid of some fringe players they should sign/promote new squad players. I think Ruben Loftus Cheek can do a good job in the first team. From what I saw he looked like one of those Elite youngsters who would do a good job.
-
I reckon we will get spanked by Bayern.. Hopefully not as bad as atletico. However we must remember that it's just a Super Cup in the end. I really want to see guardiola regretting his move to Bayern from the beginning though.

Intense pre-season to cost us next season?
Blue_Legendary replied to LDN Blue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I think the long pre season could benefit us. It would give Mourinho an opportunity to figure out the best formation and which youngsters to keep for the season. Plus the games are played at a pretty low intensity which won't really affect players stamina. Plus our main players probably won't play much. I think a longer pre season is quite a good idea. However I might be completely wrong in the end. -
I really hope he announces at least one signing tomorrow.
-
Still no torrents..
-
I think Hulk would be a better signing than Schurrle. First of all he's a right winger. A position in our squad that is covered by Victor Moses...Schurrle wouldn't be as effective on the right wing since he shoots a lot. Hulk will also add more strength and directness to our attack. Something we clearly lack especially when you look back on our matches against Man City. I think if you watch him in Zenit matches he will seem selfish and greedy. However I think that's because he feels that he is better than anyone else at the club and tries to carry the team. At Chelsea he will be surrounded with other World Class players who he would trust more. I think 30 million would be reasonable with him.

This season Chelsea used the 4-2-3-1 formation for almost all the matches. It really baffles me how we keep using a formation that makes 3 or 4 of our key players not as effective as they should be. I think the best formation for the current Chelsea Squad is probably the "Christmas Tree" 4-3-2-1 Not only does it make Ramires and Lampard more effective we can also see if Oscar can play well in CM. He's done it with Brazil so he should do it with us. Mata will still be in his central role and we wouldn't have to use Oscar as a right winger. So what do you guys think?
