Matic went to the bench 77 minutes late. There was NEVER a point of playing him and if Conte expected something different, he should have subbed earlier. Pedro was a huge mistakes. As much as I don't like Moses, Pedro is worse. Ivanovic should NEVER play another official match for us, but Conte doesn't have BALLS to play Aina. We've been robbed many times.: Britos had two yellows, we had a clear penalty, a back pass, but it DOESN'T justify out lineup, the lack of changes during half time and having Matic and Iva starting this match. Why managers are trying to make me despise watching Chelsea? I'm so done with this shit and the useless board that can't land a good plan B or C when plan A fails.

I was angry enough seeing the lineup, now I'm beyond pissed. The only change this team has is Kante. Conte isn't very bold, is he? Same fucking team we finished 10th... What the hell are Ivanovic and Pedro still doing there. Actually Iva shouldn't even have started Sent from my SM-J700M using Tapatalk

Oscar's passing into the box had been very good so far. Caught Diego, Eden and now Pedro (I guess) Sent from my SM-J700M using Tapatalk

I watched some of it, not all, and then he was subbed. But then I caught a replay and I thought he did well (didn't watch the whole replay). I'm just not going to be hopeful. He covered the most distance in the team after Matic and he was working very hard and there was that quick/deep pass to Willian, that led to Adrian's save in the second half. But that's it, committed, a couple of good attacking passes... it's too little, but still better than he did last season. Let's see if there's a possibility that Conte will remove him from his comfort zone (which I think is his problem, he's totally okay with being mediocre), I won't hold my breath though

You guys covered well what I was going to say based on what I watched (arrived just after their goal). I think he doesn't want to risk losing his first match of the season and he knows pretty well about our defensive limitations, he wouldn't take a risk with Cesc there because he knows the importance of winning today, but I have little doubts he will use Cesc in many games - but not the most important. I also like the way he reacted - although waiting until the 80th minute was a bit too much for me, but again I believe it was only because this is the season opener for us and he wanted to make sure we had a win. He wasn't afraid of taking Hazard and playing two strikers, as Jason said, but what are the consequences of such a 'wild' decision? When I use the word wild I mean because for years that's a foreign concept to our players, so it's refreshing for us, but it's also promising to them. When they see a manager going with this attitude they hopefully can feel like winning is a priority, that we'll go full throttle if we need and that's how you start changing players' mentality - something we desperately need. I also think this is how you keep Eden motivated. No accusation, no pressure, no 'let him do whatever his talent allows him'. No, he brings new blood, knowing a player like Moses will have many reasons to do well in those 5-8 minutes he was going to play to earn his stay in the team. It takes Eden away from his comfort zone without any confrontation. If he wants to be indisputable , he'll have to work very hard, he isn't protected in a passive-aggressive way. He will just feel like he needs to performance well and that if he's 1) tired 2) sustaining small injuries 3) having a bad day, he won't be kept just because he's the star. This kind of thing makes difference in the player's mentality without the blame-game baggage. You either perform at your best, or I'll give some minutes for someone that could make the best out of them. Eden will know he needs to earn his position and won't be blamed publicly for not following/marking his man. I teach 5-6 years old and I know is completely different, but it's scientifically proved that when you discipline someone in the right way they feel appreciated by you. I'm sure Eden will feel like this because when he stays is because he earned, not simply because he was kept there to make a miracle and do his thing while also being ready to blame him for whatever he does wrong. The magic of fair meritocracy.

this report exists? My day just got brighter! Thanks a lot for the intel

Our board needs to do their work better. We didn't get the signings we bid for last season, it's been over a month and we still couldn't sign ONE FRIGGING DEFENDER. Come on, if we want to be competitive again, there's no other way but spending... have them look at Arsenal if they think anything else is possible. I know this is real life and no FIFA - I don't even play that shit (or any shit) - but just break the fucking bank and bring some defenders. It can't be that difficult. If the big names aren't possible, keep looking, try to find guys like we did with Zouma. My dead grandma has more quality than any of our defenders now - bar Azpili - so even if we don't bring the big names, just bring anyone who is solid and they'll leave Iva, Cahill and JT behind. This is how bad our defense is and even a blind, moron and mentally challenged person can see... so that also says A FUCKING LOT about our board. Now that Mourinho isn't here anymore and the fucking signings are still not happening, can we address our board has been lame for years? Just fire all the fucking morons and yeah,I'm this pissed if I'm cursing this much. This defense is literally making me turn off my TV when watching Chelsea... they take away any pleasure I have watching us because it makes me so pissed that we are still dependable on those shitty players. /rant

I wish that was the consensus in the club too
-
I wonder who's the moron working in the club that actually wants Lukaku? It doesn't matter if that's Conte, Roman or my mother. Whoever wants to bring Lukaku here is an idiot and should rethink their view/skills on football (I just won't say get sacked because there's a chance it's Conte who wants him, and he's new here, but we've been doing horrible deals for a while now)

Ivanovic is injured, so we don't know yet about Aina. This RLC striker thing has me pissed off already... Just get this nonsense over with Sent from my SM-J700M using Tapatalk

sign players, promote kids from youth, but there's no point of keeping players such as both because we're thin (which I agree with). What's the point of having a bigger squad if they aren't good enough? At least with youth it may be a case of not being ready yet and improve as times goes. Moses and Cuadrado are lost cases in my book. But I can live with keeping one of them.
-
we can agree to disagree
-
there's Willian's style . . . . . . . . then there's whoever you can spot on the picture. Pedro is playing hide and seek lol

Excuse me? What an unnecessary comment. Ignorance doesn't know borders although I'm not calling them ignorants Sent from my SM-J700M using Tapatalk

If Costa isn't a world class striker, don't know what one is. He probably isn't a world class player because he does lack a few things, but complete players are hard to find and as a striker he's a game changer, a guy that has full merits in most of those goals. His movement is top notch and definitely one of the most important things for a striker, if not the most alongside execution. He's not plastic or technical and he should head better than he does, but lacking those things and still scoring as much as he does, with rare tap-ins, should prove his worth not detract from his quality as a player. I refuse to even think about having Lukaku to replace Costa. If that happens, it's two steps forward with Kante but then ten back in the striker department even with Barb'shuayi Sent from my SM-J700M using Tapatalk

I really dislike players like him, who have no technique at all on them, who can only run, shoot, run, shoot. I don't want him anywhere near us.
-
I'm not exactly a patient girl... at least not lately. So names I see in the pre-season that I hope are nowhere near Chelsea team for the season: Moses and Cuadrado. Names I don't see tonight but still hope won't be here: Mikel and Ivanovic. Come on, we already have bang mediocre players in Pedro, Oscar and Cahill. We won't need to keep more than that (Oscar, can join the out-group if he plays as an attacker)
-
Cesc completely lost the timing of the tackle... but that was irresponsible
-
Cesc's tackling has been amazing. I've been the first to point it out here, but because of my bias I just have to keep saying
-
which is the sharpening part I've mean in the first line. We need to sharpen a lot,but the general reaction, plan and work seems to be working
-
Come on Conte, bring Costa or Barb'shuayi for RLC. We've already had enough of his awkwardness as a striker....
-
I think that for Conte we're stocked in CM. We have Matic, Kante, Fabregas, Oscar (who I think if we keep, will be played there) and all those might be ahead of him in the picking order. So I guess he really liked the kid, but is looking for alternatives on how he could be more used. I also think he's a B2B player, but would he have many chances if we continued to play him there? It's a tough decision, I don't agree with Conte's take of this so far, but he's the professional manager instead of me, so I'll wait and see.
-
It's obvious we need to sharpen the tactics, but we look so composed overall. I really like how we've been moving with the ball and especially without (of course, some of our players don't know much about being composed,I'm talking in general). I like how we quickly switch to the 4-5-1 when we don't have the ball. I also like how we've been moving fast to the attack. I also saw some bite pressing the opposition. Azpili - as usual, but also Moses, Cesc, RLC. I think once we really get used to the new plan and ace it, we'll be a joy to watch.
-
the idiot could have broken Azpili's leg if he hit him fully and not just scrapped. If I were Conte I would take my boys and go away, as usual, the scouses are as dirt as shit
-
Cesc seems to have more bite in his tackles... I think he knows his position in the team is quite uncertain
