  1. you missed the main and coolest part, Jay we're the coolest MFers in the world of football Except Terry - who seems to be crying, all the other are amazingly similar to the actual players. I'm going to use this as my sig, lol another one:
  2. Completely toothless match by a team that seemed completely out of it. The only positive I have from this match is Azpili having a great first half and Schurrle doing well with the minutes he was given. Everything else is a big disappointment and while the 1x1 isn't a bad result when you look at the great scheme of things, there's no way we shouldn't have left with a victory by at least three goals. But we never really wanted it, or we never really worked for it. Our inability to complete the final pass and our attackers being completely uninspired was hard to endure. Which is why I can't be too mad at Mourinho for bringing bloddyMikel - especially to substitute our best attacker... How can you trust a team like this? In all honesty, I just can't and I think he doesn't either. He realized we were a fuckery fest, and decided that 1-1 was better than losing the match. His RM scored 6 on this team last year, so it's not like Mourinho is always conservative and looking for away draws, it's just this Chelsea isn't reliable, end of it. We can play like the top dogs in one match (City for EPL) and then as a second level team in the next. This team lacks consistency and then people think when Mourinho says we aren't ready he's playing mind games. I do hope we win EPL, but if we do, it just shows what a master of a manager we have and how ball-less and inoffensive Arsenal and Liverpool have become - even if EPL is the best league in the world (as I'm heavily implying if we win the title it'll be with a half-decent team, but with a magnificent manager, which proves our point that Mourinho - or someone of his caliber - is what we've missed the most since Carlo left). City has a new manager just like we do and although they have much better players (in the attack), they also have a busy schedule and not so much depth in some positions, so while they're the favorites, they may suffer from the huge amount of games they're playing (although I suppose they might exit Champions League in the R16). Now back to us and UCL... in theory a 1x1 away is a very good result, but seeing how unreliable and how bipolar this team is, I'm actually not so sure we'll make through R8. If we show this quality in SB - and let's not fool ourselves, we had some very poor matches at home this season too and scrapped some wins and draws while looking bad - I'm afraid we'll lose. It's not like I bother too much by it, I love UCL, but I'm not obsessed by it... But the danger is because they actually have a decent attack that was completely uninspired today. Gala sucks monkey ball, all of us can testify that after tonight, but they have very decent attackers and if we don't show up again, we'll be trading with our luck - which I don't know if it's that bad. Two less week-games for us could actually help us with the EPL title, and while I don't like to lose and I think we should beat Gala and go into quarters, if we don't it might a blessing in disguise. What is no blessing is how this team is still very much heartless and powerless from time to time and while that was okay for the first few months, I do wonder if we'll really be that strong comes next season if we don't improve considerably. Our main problem is strikers, and I believe Mourinho gave the directors an ultimatum and we'll get better strikers - or at least one good striker and recalling Lukaku. Matic makes wonders to our midfield (I don't even want to comment on Rami-Lamps tonight), but in matches like today's when Torres was decent and the pivot wasn't good, but didn't compromise , it feels we lack attitude and a winning spirit. I don't know what are the mechanics of changing players into winners, but I hope Mourinho does. He's done it in the past, but we'd never know if he just awoke natural winners, or if he really changed regulars players into winners thirsty blood suckers... I'm yet to figure out what kind of profile of players we have, but some of them don't scream winner attitude for me.
  3. You know how bad a referee is when Felipe Melo plays a match and doesn't get a yellow. I'll come back later with the rest of what I think of this pathetic presentation by our team. I'm supposed to rate our players and write an article on it now. Wish me luck, cos I'll need.
  4. Ramires' decision making is one of the worst I've seen in top class clubs. He's shocking
  5. that's probably true... but nobody here is concerned about whether we'll qualify or not, but we're pissed about how fucking pathetic we are. We should be winning this by at least 3, not being satisfied with a draw - that while isn't a bad result overall, is ridiculous seeing how weak the other side is. I want to get pissed at Mourinho for being so conservative, but I can't, because he knows this team sometimes just doesn't have balls - and today is one of those toothless displays by us, so I get why he's got Mikel in the team, although I still disagree about getting Schurrle off.

  7. terrible sub by Mourinho imo. Schurrle was the only resemblance we had of a good attacker in the match (although Hazard improved a lot in the second)... why not take Willian off if he must add a DM to this fuckery? I'd take off Lamps if we must have Mikel. Terrible stuff by players and manager imo
  8. well I was about to say I wish we had Wesley to take our corners, but really, our defense was pathetic there... absolutely pathetic. Torres, Azpili marking no one, with Terry chasing another guy. Ridiculous stuff by us
  9. we're trading with our luck here. They can't defend for life, but they can actually attack. I want to slap some sense into those players!!!!
  10. such a stupid foul and yellow for Ramires there...
  11. still the best team in England, both in EPL and UCL
  12. You can see how much a difference Hazard already does in our team when we play against a crappy defense and can't get one attack well done because the boy is having a day off - which is more than acceptable... also I could be wrong, but I guess this is his first UCL knock-out or have Lille ever qualified to R16 while he was there? Maybe he's nervous... even if he played for Lille is a completely different thing playing for Chelsea... Either way, this is not the boy's fault, as we have other attacking players - who have been unlucky and sloppy with their last pass (sometimes even before). Someone should step up - but it seems like we became dependable or just comfortable with Eden doing it and when the boy doesn't do it seems like nobody else does. Apart from the goal, our first half wasn't that good imo.
  13. absolutely! maybe we should move Schurrle to the left, not because Hazard is wasted, but because he's not capitalizing Azpili's efforts. Schurrle seems more lively today and maybe that would help us score more goals.
  14. he's not wasted in the position he plays 90% of the time, he's just having an off day... let's not forget Schurrle and Azpili got the goal exactly from the left... their defense is so bad that none of our attacking players can have any excuse tonight. We in general have been missing more passes than I'd like in the final third... Hopefully Eden can turn it around in the second
  15. don't know, Paulo Andrade said on his twitter account that because of rights they can't show live and will show a VT at 7pm
  16. streams, please?? For whatever reasons the match can't be shown here life
  17. not for me... as a Chelsea fan for me nothing is bigger than Chelsea... but I understand where people who think otherwise are coming from. Some things are bigger than sports, that I'd agree but supporting vehemently a player who's going to face us feels weird for me. It's just with all those homages it almost looks like we're cheering more for Drogba than Chelsea - something I don't think anyone is, but the feeling is still the same. We can't control how we feel and I know most of you don't feel like that, I do though
  18. The two injured (stabbed) Chelsea fans were confirmed by The Guardian... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/25/chelsea-galatasaray-football-violence-champions-league
  19. Moyes: the gift that keeps coming. Every week feels like Christmas morning.
  20. when I mentioned the lack of strikers doing their job I meant that this is what hurts us the most, not Oscar, Willian, Schurrle, Ramires in the AMs positions (although Ramires there hurts my eyes with his passing). You have an interesting point. Oscar is amazing to create space because he drags players with him when he has the ball or when he's moving, leaving more space to Eden and Willian. It's the way he moves and carries the ball that makes it possible. But as you pointed out, I don't think he's that good creating space to himself. In this case isn't creating, more like finding as you said. I still think his body is suffering and that it's affecting his game - both good reasons for him to see the bench. I doubt he will though unless he's really injured and Mourinho doesn't want to risk losing him longer.
  21. cause of concern is not having anyone to convert chances created into assists. He isn't very creative - I agree - and we might even need better in the department in the future, but the main problem we have remains the lack of someone scoring goals for the chances not only Oscar, but Hazard (mainly), Willian and others create. I do agree Oscar hasn't created even that many chances. Also, it's always the same, the kind of #10 fans want may not be the same kind of #10 Mourinho wants... so if the system, the manager don't necessarily require a overly creative #10 it's because they're expecting the chances to be created another way. I think Mourinho wants a balance more than he wants the super striker or the super creative guy. He knows a balance should be kept between defense, midfield and attack and doing some things doesn't allow a player to do others and then it's about deciding what's the expense of having something that is very effectively in one side, but exposes the other. If the balance between exposition and results is positive, go for it, if not, it's better have a balanced team rather than relying too much in one player that is too good in something and too bad in something else. Complete players normally are an '8' in most aspects of their games rather than being a 9.5 or 10 in some things and a 4 in others. I like complete players more than one-thing wonders. edit: to illustrate my first point here. We have (or at least had until a few weeks ago) the player who has created more chances in the league (Hazard) still we're far from being one of the top scorers teams. That's the gap that keeps harming us. We just don't score and god, how frustrating some of our games are because of that.
  22. actually you made me realize I didn't ever finish the line 'With our AMs, our good headers in the team and hopefully us getting more dangerous in set-pieces, I think we're good in the attack department' it was supposed to be continued with: adding any of those guys to the squad. oh, my bad then. I only listened to the first vid - the official one - and even then my French is less than scrappy, so I sort of just understood partially. I was trusting the many people here quoting him saying 'I don't have a striker'
  23. they might be reliable, but the way they translated the quotes is weird. I didn't get the notion that Mourinho was questioning Eto'o's age rather than making a joke along the lines 32 or 35, same difference. Also he's never said we don't have Falcao. He's said we don't have a striker and Falcao doesn't have a team. So I think they're trying to make it a bit bigger than it was for the sake of making it a hit story or something. To be honest, we don't need an absolute world class striker. Bayern proved it just last season that you don't need the very best striker in the world (although they do help a lot). We need a consistent, reliable guy that keeps scoring - especially if he manages to do it in important moments (few manage that). It's not the amount of goals, but the goals we need. That was something we had with Drogba. Look at his stats and he wasn't that big a scorer in most of his seasons here, still he scored some of the most important goals that led to titles. Benzema, Costa, Mandzukic, Higuain among others aren't world class or at least not as big as Cavani, Lewa, Falcao, Aguero, Suarez but they score decent amount of goals. I do think they aren't that great in big games, but I think any of those guys are decent enough to have us being favorites to the competitions we play. I'd rather have two guys like those, or maybe one of those guys and some guy like Lukaku (as we don't know yet if he's staying or leaving), than have one big name. Cavani, Falcao, Aguero, Sturridge all got injured this season, if we only have a big name and spend all our money in only one player, and they get an injury we're back at square one. With our AMs, our good headers in the team and hopefully us getting more dangerous in set-pieces, I think we're good in the attack department with any of those guys added to the squad. In a team where the star is a winger/cam (just like Messi and Ronaldo), the striker is just the supporting role that steals the scene sometimes, but just keeps working hard and scoring decently enough. I hate to keep crying on guy we let go and you rarely see me in ex-blues threads weeping about the talent we wasted, but Daniel was the one guy I wish we haven't sold. I don't get why we sold him at all (unless he put a request because he wasn't having as much play time as he wanted). We aren't a selling club, having two good strikers shouldn't be too much (and that's being nice to Torres). We need someone like Daniel. I'd love him to come back like Matic did, but there's no way Liverpool is allowing that... especially if they're back in the UCL which they fatally will with the gap between them and the rest below them.
