if we don't offload him, can he at least get the Malouda treatment? That's my last hope when it comes to Torres. Anyway, wish him good wherever he goes.

As my beloved K. said, guessing is never too mainstream. Barcelona - Bayern Chelsea - Dortmund ManUtd - PSG Real Madrid - Atletico
-
Probably... why? Is the commitment we made earlier the season for life?
-
humpf I've never lost a match... why am I after you? First criteria is goal difference, not wins, move me up. You've needed double the matches I had to have as many points. You're shameless, Jason And as I'm on it, sweetie, I'm not taking part of those anymore. So we can keep me out of future schedules, okay? xx

we don't need tests. This team is not ready, so what's the point of testing it? It just needs cake walks

I want RM and Bayern to get each other so one of the big forces is out. If anyone has to get United that must be us. They're easily the weakest among the 8, why wish another team to bang them if we can do it ourselves? Even if we don't smash them, they're the weakest, therefore the one we should face

How come people came from City winning the quadruple - which means winning UCL - to United being the European champion? there are some crazy talks in the internet sometimes...
-
but where can you go from Real Madrid... it doesn't get bigger than that. While Chelsea is a big club already, we don't compete with the aura clubs as RM and Barça have, or United and Bayern. Players dream about playing for those guys. That's the kind of legacy Roman wants us to have, for players while very young (teenagers) dream about playing for Chelsea. The only case involving Ronaldo that is worth mentioning - because then it has more in common - is when RM came after him while he was in United. Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world in every aspect you look - maybe except # of supporters (I don't trust those researches in a country sphere, let alone globally) . But they have more UCL titles, they make more money than anyone else, they drag more people than anyone else where they go, the have the best player in the world, they have a galactic team. Barça only closed that gap with their recent success. If RM wins an UCL title in the next couple of years, they're increasing the gap again. So it doesn't get bigger than RM in the football world. Why would Ronaldo leave? Any move he makes now would feel like a downgrade or just the same difference, if he chose Bayern or Barça - which is very unlikely. Now our situation is different. It gets bigger than Chelsea. A player may want to go to a bigger club if they come after him. It's tempting... unless he's absolutely happy, is appreciated by the club and the fans and has a very high compensation in his wages.

that's really all he needs. Messi has the kind of stats he has because after he dribbles god and their mothers, he shoots. It'll maximize Eden's influence at the matches. It's not only about stats, but about improving and sharpening his finishing too. If Mourinho allows him to do whatever he wants in the final third once he has the ball, it's on him to step up and just shooooooooooooooot. The goals will come and when they start, they won't stop because he'll only get better and better finishing, but he needs to start. I think it's a matter of confidence and overly selflessness - the latter would be cute, if the other guys shooting for us weren't so horrendous with few exceptions. What he's said. This is 23yo, not an 18yo. He's earned getting a wage raise and I'm positive our board will be smart about that and with the raise will come a contract extension - which I hope it's for at least another three years. This is the kind of risk we should take. I wanted that happened at end of this season, half-way through the next at most. It doesn't feel it's been that much, but Hazard's been here for nearly two years, next winter window, will mean half of his contract is through. We need to assure him now and offer him something that will convince him to stay further. He's said he wants to stay now, he's never said he wants to stay further than his current contract. If big sharks come after him, they'll offer him a lot, with a new contract and new wages, we not only can assure him longer, but also make sure we've got the salary covered - as they will try to bait him with stellar wages. I think it's the right move to do, and I don't mind the timing. I'd do it at most four months into the new season anyway. It doesn't matter how quickly things escalated, what matters is that they escalated. He's evolved too much, too quickly, so he's earned it, end of it. If it was a 18yo thinking about the sports car he's going to buy, maybe I'd get their point. But this is a father of two, who's already 23 (too young for football, but mature enough to handle a raise without getting the wrong message). If anything this is highly motivating for a guy like him. This is second season he's saved our arses. Last season he shared it with Mata, but I would have given him POTY last season already. If the board is up for it, it only makes me support them further. Right move imo.

I'm so happy this guy has the recognition he deserves in this forum. He's absolutely immense for us every single match... I'm always stunned by his high level match after match after match after match... it seems he doesn't get tired, doesn't back off, doesn't drop his quality. He's a constant. Hazard had way better matches... and way worse too, Cesar is just always awesome. I'd give our POTY to either of them with a big smile in my face because both deserve equally imo. The stability Cesar gives to us is as important as the many goals and assists Eden brings. Now another very important aspect of him: he only gets prettier and prettier. Dear God, it's always a pleasure to watch him in all possible ways! I'm sure some of you lads agree with me on his looks

I agree. Lukaku and Eto'o offer almost the opposite from each other. There are games more suitable for one than the other. Also nobody knows if Lukaku will be here or not. There are way too many rumors, Mourinho seemed quite annoyed by his comments earlier the season and I don't know if he won't choose Eto'o over Lukaku again. It depends a lot on whoever we sign as the main striker. Also Mourinho values a lot - as he should - the experience and the leadership Eto'o brings. Also even if Lukaku stays, Eto'o's presence is more helpful than harmful to him. I don't see the need to give Lukaku minutes as something we have to do every match. They could alternate in the domestic cups matches, the #1 striker as a starting XI with Eto'o as sub for home matches and Lukaku for away matches. I also think it's a big myth that Lukaku has a great impact coming from the bench - he just isn't physically resilient enough to start too many matches in a row, which gives wrongly the idea that he has impact coming from the bench. WBA managed him perfectly last season, making him be productive in general with him coming as a sub in most matches he's played, but the key aspect was the kind of defense he's played against. Who plays defensively against WBA? As a sub he wasn't making an impact for us, doesn't for Belgium, and I'm positive he didn't do it for Everton the very few matches he came from the bench. The challenge he's faced in Everton is only a hint of what he'd face with us: teams defending well against them. He had a spectacular start and then faded away (physically and technically). Now he alternates good matches and bad matches - normally good matches against shitty defenses. So while being #2 will prevent him from getting physically burned out, playing against teams that defend deep or tight against us at the Bridge doesn't fit Romelu Lukaku at all... then we need a goal, want to play with two strikers or has the main striker injured we'll play who? Fucking Torres? We should loan Torres for free and agree to pay half his salary just so we get rid of that big piece of shit. Demba Ba probably will be sold too - thankfully.
-
we had a laughable team with a very reliable defense and a killer in the attack. They have laughable team with a joke of a defense. Huge difference imo... They have Rooney and van Persie - both prone to injuries and who have been alternating good matches with anonymous ones. But no matter how 'good' they're now, United simply hasn't been outscoring how much their defense concedes. This is Olympiakos after all, but go watch their matches. Their defense and midfield is the biggest joke in European football and unless those two bail them from jail every match from now on, they're fated to be out.
-
you think he was frustrating... as if everyone else wasn't to start with. I said he wasn't frustrating and was just about like the rest in the final third... then I told you the good he did, if you want to focus in the negative, be my guest... then at least try to be fair and say the whole team was frustrating because they were. Each of them failed in something: link up, shoot, pass, etc... or did I miss Muslera having the night of his life and saving 6-7-8 shots by Hazard, Willian, Etoo, Torres or Schurrle? some had better matches than other, but what's new with Chelsea players failing in the last pass or just refusing to shoot? Nothing...
-
no bloody thank you EPL title >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything else - especially media sucking United up... It makes no difference... they already do that all the time. I hope They beat City 1x0 if that's the case, hope they're highly motivated now.

since when refute something I completely disagree is defensive? It's just a disagreement.
-
I had no idea people claimed he won us that pen to cover for the criticism he gets, sorry, lol, and I'm so tired today, that I missed the jokish tone. my bad
-
his point was that Oscar is frustrating to watch. If a guy is giving his guts to win us something as small as a corner, I'm backing him up. And pls... Torres? Did you just compare it to Torres? It's not even me and the Torres' fanboys, but comparing what Oscar fights for us - even if he fails to deliver more incisive parts - to can't-be-bothered-to-anything-Torres? Don't take me wrong, I'm with everyone who claims he should improve, but I think the criticism towards him is exaggerated, no criticism towards Torres is every exaggerated, normally it's quite the opposite actually...
-
oh yeah, because creating four chances, giving an assist, shooting twice and fighting to win us a corner that gave us a goal is just frustrating to watch. He can improve a lot, but he isn't as bad as people make him out to be imo... I saw such a poor decision making in that assist to Eto'o with a first touch... you definitely have a point there He has to improve, I'm not so sure about the fast part. Mourinho knew pretty well what he was getting himself into when he came here and made the signings he did. And then his signings are Marco, André, Salah and a new other boys all younger than 22 at the time... so I'm not sure he's so worried about speed here, otherwise he'd buy more players at Willian's age. Of course he wants to be able to compete in a higher level coming already next season, but I think he envisions his team really ready in 2-3 years from now. We need him to step up now because we're running for a title, I'm not sure how much our expectations are attainable though. I can demand him to play like Mata or Silva every day. If that's the right expectation to have about him is the question that remains... Mourinho won't change his mind about Oscar and other players in the squad, not before exhausting all attempts to mold them into what he wants them to be. Oscar, for example, is too obedient, open and humble to create problems, so I guess he's there to stay, improved or not. I want him to improve as much as you do, along with others who also need improvement, our will for that to happen won't change when it'll really happen and I don't think Mourinho will stop giving them opportunities for a long while. If Ramires is a starting XI in this team, then everyone else in our squad can be too.

I missed when they did this to him but it was an amazing match by him again. I'll join the choir and say he needs to be more selfish. Maybe not only selfish, but a bit more objective too. He's amazing, but there's definitely way more room for improvement. And when Mourinho says he doesn't coach Hazard, it means he gives him freedom to do whatever he does. Things such as positioning I think have been coached. It's just it requires time. One of the hardest things in football is movement imo. Awareness is difficult to develop and I think it's just part of his development curve. He WILL improve. Now I just think he could be more incisive, take some risks with some shoots. A guy that dribbles like him should put himself in position to shoot. If you can dribble but can't shoot, no matter how many assists you give, you're wasting 50% of your talent. The problem current is where he dribbles. He needs to try to find space for himself. Cut inside, but not only aiming a pass, but also to pass by opponents and shoot. That's the biggest complain I'd have about him right now and seeing how we don't take our chances very well, we desperately need him to step up and just go for it.
-
I'll insist until the last day: we NEED to keep this guy in this club another season. He's worthy whatever wages he's on. It'd not only for his goals and good linkup - especially with Hazard. As we said a few times, it's his experience, his goals in important matches (I'm positive he'll score against Arsenal), his leadership and his guidance to the youngsters. We just need to keep him - as long as we sign a world class striker, ofc. He should stay either way.
-
he's stupid. There. The word that is perfect to describe him. He has zero brain and that can be proved by nearly all his decisions when he has the ball. He was appalling today AGAIN. Terrible to watch. I'm positive he'll stick around though and it makes me cry. He IS a Mourinho kind of player in certain aspects that Mourinho will rather keep than look for a replacement. I'll hold a grudge against Mourinho for as long as he keeps him or at least until he signs a better partner to Matic. We need a #8 - a good one. Ramires is a stupid - but athletic #6. It doesn't match at all.
-
I'm yet to understand how people said Oscar had a bad match... or poor as I read or even giving away the ball too much (as if assisting Eto'o and winning the corner for the Lamps corner assist wasn't enough). Just watched the match and the only thing I can complain about is Ramires - he was pretty useless, and HE gave the ball away too much. I won't bother to say shit about Torres because that's redundant. I think Hazard/Willian/Oscar worked beautifully together... yes, we still failed to capitalize in the final third, but that universal in our team... I just wish Eto'o was actually capable of playing away matches for us too. His finishing was clinical in that goal. Azpilicueta is really out of this world. I can't praise that guy enough. He's just immense. Lamps had a very good first half... I think in the second he dropped a bit, but he had SUCH an impressive first half, that dropping a bit doesn't compromise his presentation at all. It doesn't cease to impress me how much space and movement awareness Schürrle has, but we don't pass the ball to the boy... It drives me crazy. None of our strikers or AMs (maybe except Eto'o) puts themselves in dangerous/shooting positions better than André does. Our defense was flawless again and while I think Willian wasn't anything special, I also think some were harsh in their criticism. We only had Ramires playing badly and the number 9 guy did his thing... which is sucking monkey balls... I was very happy with the presentation. I hope it builds up the confidence for Arsenal and that Oscar carries on improving. I think his worst match for us was 2 or 3 matches ago (can't remember the opponent) and he improved slightly ever since coming from Brazil NT. I think today he improved a bit more. If he continues the progress he'll peak again when we need him the most. Hazard had an amazing match again and I hope he rinses and repeat it against Arsenal. I feel like we'll draw Barcelona - which I think it's a good thing actually. Hopefully whoever we draw we play the second leg at the Bridge.
