  1. I think it's too early in the season for you to make such an assessment... And if they're not far behind us in terms of quality so I suppose we're way behind Bayern then? I think you've overrating them a tad here. Or underrating us. Chelsea is currently one of the hardest sides to play against in the continent. I'm not saying there aren't teams better than us, but certainly hard to be more competitive and adaptive. We'll talk again about Borussia M. in a couple of months.
  2. And I'm not... Bundesliga is a one-team league now that Dortmund has ups and downs. Every season there's a team from the rest that rises a bit higher, such as Leverkursen did last year. The German team has nothing to do with the quality of their league, as most of the players are at Bayern, there are some abroad and some at Dortmund. It's a very unbalanced, boring, dull league imo. It doesn't mean good players couldn't come from the other teams, or that Hazard isn't good enough, I'm not talking about any of this, but as a league, Bundesliga is poor imo.
  3. Although when he was selected to start the match against United I said I wasn't comfortable with the decision (and even said I hope he could prove me to be wrong), I've been harsh on his current form before. It seems like not only I underestimated The King, but I also owe him an apology. He's becoming much more useful than I thought he'd be and I guess he could offer to us the same kind of experience (that converted to goals) as Eto'o did last season, even if they're different kind of strikers. It's nice to have a guy like this in the team. I think he's been showing (again, as usual) his character and is helping the team even when his body isn't the same anymore. The class, the commitment, the leadership, the dedication and the love were never in doubt for me, but I had plenty of doubts and complaints about the actual form. He's been playing better now than he did in Galatasaray last season imo, so maybe his heart and motivation to play for us are making a difference after all.
  4. The way they celebrate it, it really felt like that. Pathetic.
  5. there's a reason why he calls him 'Capitano' Mourinho did talk about him after Shrews edit: also a quote from the UCL interview that I really love “Defeat can be useful for you if - and only if - you draw important lessons from it. My hunger to win is one of my fundamental assets. If one day I lose that desire then I’ll not be useful any more.” — Diego Costa
  6. Cesc, Oscar, Willian, Iva, Ramires (when he gets back to the team), etc... One doesn't play on big games, the other two are just horrible AMs and all goals we concede come from Iva's side and it's his fault. Also we have injury prone strikers, so we should add them to the list too. And they can do it against anyone, not only Liverpool at Anfield or Schalke in Gelsenkirchen. #sarcasm
  7. damn you, Chou. You know how to make a girl blush. Thanks, love.
  8. can you at least say if I got better or worse? That's what matters in the end. The guy doesn't need to know what changed, only if it's better or not
  9. No, what I'm talking about it different from having an opinion, but actually showing the lack of support and how spoiled and annoying people got lately. When you read some threads I get the idea some posters seem to count on their fingers the days til the player they don't like have a bad match, so they can say for the 13098432084th time how horrible, useless, limited, and bla bla bla. Everyone is going to criticize presentations and talk about limitations of players, but come on man. Cesc has been marvelous for us, he had one bad match against United, he wasn't that brilliant against City, but he fulfilled the clear task designed to him in that match and did it down to a T. He was one of the best players against Arsenal. But then you come here after a match that he was really bad and now it's the third instead of the first because some guys seem to have an agenda to prove he can't perform on big games. That's the feeling that I get, some people want to be proved right more than they want the players they don't like to be successful, which is insane and the opposite of what I consider support. It annoyed the heck out of me to read some of the LIES, BULLSHIT and NONSENSE written in the last few pages of this thread. Because that's what some of the things I read are. About the transfer targets... there are dozens of threads in the transfer forum. No need to create discussions about those targets in the players' threads. Especially in cases such as Fàbregas. And what exactly the length of my posts is fitting to this discussion? Don't want read them, skip them, add me to the ignore list. As you just said forums are for discussion, I'm not objective. You either deal with it or you ignore them... it's the way I am.
  10. I got some highlights. Was my hair so bad before? It's because it's straight
  11. Fat Spanish Waiter Hate him huahuahuahuahuahua edit: adding an irony tag cause it seems some people don't have a distinction for that (although I really dislike him).
  12. Always the same shit around here. ALWAYS. The guys who don't like X, F, B, A, Z player shut the heck up when the player is doing well, or just come up with one or two details of what he did wrong. But when the guy has one bad match, they're in riot to sprout their BS. Really, we already know all people who dislike Cesc, Oscar, Iva, Willian, etc... you don't need to come remind us every single time any of them has a bad match. It's tiring and annoying. When did this place become like this? the meltdowns last season were way less present and people used to be subtle. And no matter who you beg for, Pogba, Reus, Khedira, Modric, bla bla bla bla. We don't have them, I don't see us pursuing them in the next window and José trusts those players. So you may sound like the broken record you are as much as you want, the players won't go anywhere and they're doing a hell of job if you ask me being unbeaten in the league. Some people are so spoiled and have been playing FM and FIFA so much, that they should stick strictly to video games and give up on real life football. You lost the grasp of reality when any player in the world can't have a bad day, any average player such as Fellaini can't still have a great match. Those things happen in real life football, but some of you have no idea what that is anymore. Just stick with the video games, please.
  13. I actually agree. Between the two of them I'd rather have only one in the pitch instead of both. They're too shy in the attack. I don't think Oscar in general misplaces a lot of passes. His average is over 80% for most matches, but he was awful yesterday.
  14. new hair!!!!!! I loved it lol before after
  15. wow... that's well... you guys (some of you) must have chicken poop in your brains In all seriousness, who cares how he left Barcelona in a team he's never fit? Also let's not start this BS he only plays against small teams. He was amazing marking and pressing against City, although didn't create much - but that's not his fault, it was how he were set up. He played well against Arsenal, against Everton. today he had a bad day in the office, I don't think I could give him any excuses, but that's it. And did I just read he isn't much of an upgrade to Mata in terms of tracking back? I've read all kind of stupidity and bs on this forum, but things are getting out of control lately.
  16. Haven't had FB for a while. But it sucks monkey balls she won
  17. He's the e who said he isn't a fundamentalist. Different matches require different approaches. After the goal they struggled defending. United had an improvised defense, but had Di Maria e van Persie attacking. You sit back, you invite them back to the game. But if you think otherwise, good for you. I don't. We should have capitalized and searched a second goal instead of waiting them to attack us
  18. at some point his passing accuracy was below 50% nothing justifies that. I agree he didn't have many options to create, but even defensively he's had some terrible moments. It's been his worst match for us by far, and he wasn't that good against City, but I refuse to label him as a big match bottler. As he and Oscar played bad, the other's terrible performance only made it even worse to the remaining one. It's like Oscar made Cesc worse and Cesc made Oscar worse because they made each other's live worse with their poor presentations. There's no excuse, even the corners he took in the first half were mostly bad (and a couple of free kicks too). It wasn't his day... it happens. I can't give him or Oscar any excuses...
  19. Bad match by him. His passing was awful, terrible. It didn't help that Cesc was just as bad. Still he created that chance for DD during first half and we certainly looked better with him holding the ball than with Mikel. But he had a yellow, he was trying too hard, he was making too many mistakes. I agree he was the one who should have been subbed off (even said in the live thread he should be subbed off). I don't think it cements the idea he can't play against a big team because in all honesty, it didn't feel like we played like a big team today. United played better than they've been playing, but they were really, nothing, nothing, nothing special. Collectively we played bad. Oscar and Cesc were probably the worst imo, but I think he played well against Arsenal - who played much better than United imo. United was a hot mess in the second and instead of capitalizing, Mourinho brings Mikel.
  20. I don't often criticize him, but I've done it many, many times before. There's no way to defend him today, although it's only a draw, one mistake, I won't crucify him for that, but for me, the loss of two points was more on him than on Dowd.
  21. Just like the team against Palace last season, today Mourinho lacked balls. It happens. Time to move on, but he should know despite the mistake by Dowd sending Iva off, this is on him. You don't sit back when you're building a momentum. You capitalize and go for the kill. Funny he talks about Willian and Hazard needing to learn about going for the kill if he himself doesn't go. Today was the 6th time Mikel was introduced in an EPL match for us. Coward approach that disappoints me. All in all, one point isn't that bad, but there's a bad taste in my mouth, about the two points lost and the approach Mourinho took when he brought Mikel (who was awful btw). I expected more from Mou.
  22. yes, he was so bold to say last season that he team lacked balls against Palace. Well he clearly lacked balls today bringing Obi fucking Mikel (that was terrible btw) when we were dominating. I get it that most of our midfield had been booked, but it was still no excuse to bring him. I didn't complain about the tactics in the first half because I felt it was a disastrous performance by the players, nothing wrong with Mourinho's approach. But the moment he brought Mikel on and moved every single player behind the ball with still 20 minutes to go, he just screwed up. Iva didn't deserve be sent off, I'm not even sure it was a free kick, but in all honesty, it pays Mourinho right for such a coward approach. Their defenders were lost after our goal, we should have capitalized, not played like a small team.
