  1. I miss properly made Chinese food! I'd love to have a good Sichuan dish, the dry-sautéed green beans, tomato-egg soup, dumplings....proper ones Oh Ryan, xin nian kuai le!
  2. congrats! Me... Well, let's just say it's been little over 3 months since my dad died and now my mum is in hospital.... Not a good start to 2015....
  3. Because my 17 year old wrote it! I think it was meant to say "I prefer playing a sport" or "I prefer to watch sports". I am just the messenger! and he wanted to get a wider sample the American high school students.
  4. Hi, I am hoping you will do me a favor and fill out a survey for my son https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JK87LXJ ❤️❤️❤️❤️k
  5. I understand, not everyone needs them long term. Talk it over with your girlfriend first, make sure you are both in agreement. Research the risks of going off the meds and the best regimens for doing it. Then decide your plan. There are ways to get inexpensive health care in the US but since you are technically a visitor it is different I know. Our health care system is a freaking nightmare at times. More rules everyday!
  6. Depending on the meds you may have to be weaned off but also they maybe why you are doing so well. I wouldn't do this with out talking to a professional.
  7. Life pretty much stinks right now! My dad died Monday night, the funeral is Friday. It's -3°C here....
  8. Unfortunately, not always a guaranteed green card, usually but not always! Hope it works out for y'all!
  9. Thanks things are just very busy. Took Nathan to see my Alma mater last weekend! And teaching him to drive! (Yikes!) plus Mac is playing for her school and club... Oh and I had to turn in grades last week How are you, love?
  10. I think you'll need a company to back you for the work visa. Unless you work under the table ... But that is risky. It is tough to be the non-working partner. It might be easier to take classes to get a visa that allows you to work too. The rules for each type can be tricky and they have tightened them in the last decade. You are about 7 hours east of me at the moment.
  11. The only reason Story of my life is any good is it is a remake of a song by Social Distortion but the original is better
  12. I am up every day at 5:30 for work now I can't sleep in. The time change is in a few weeks so it will be a bit better. It's going to and coming home from work in the dark that wipes me out! I start taking vitamin D this time of year to off set the lack of sunshine! What are you doing in Atlanta?
  13. What the heck? I went away for a few months and y'all killed the pub? It's so quiet in here there is an echo!
  14. Congrats to all the winners! I completely missed the entire nominating/voting process! It haas been a busy summer and now I am getting ready to head back to work!
  15. Your best option is to get in with a company that has a location where you want to live and then do the expat thing for a while. Cost wise it is the best option and the company will handle all the immigration paper work.
  16. So how was your vacation and where did you go?
  17. Manpe I sent you a PM how I did my donations while in China. Hope it helps.
  18. Oh, no. I have issues with Paypal all the time, most have stopped now that I am back in the US. Weird that they aren't responding
  19. Try sending Alex, Steve, or Jim a PM
