thank you, so this leads us to another question, if he leaves his place and presses und trys to make things happen, but it doesn't work, because of the guys infront of him, plus he doesn't even gets out of his half (after what I've seen yesterday, he should have had a sublime game if he was the kind of player you tell us he is) because our wide players are playing in the center to tightn up the pitch, is this a wrong tactical decision and wrong positioning or his fault? The other Question is, why did it work so well against Inter, when despite loosing two years ago he was probably MOTM, and why does it often work with him and Rambo but not with him and Lamps, plus, if we play 4-3-3 and we have in reallity two CMs and no wingers, so he has as a conclusion of that FIVE players in the middle of the pitch, how should he spread the game, and how should he even get so high up the pitch? Mous tactics were not to lose, thats it, he just wanted to go through, he nearly escaped, we had purely the wrong tactics in this game, and Mikel, if given the freedom, has shown often enough that he does EXACTLY what you demand form him, but our team lacks stamina and a clear tactical plan. To be honest I don't know why Jose played like this? I would have Played Rambo and DeBruyne, or Mikel an DeBruyne to give Rambo a rest. Up I would have played Mata, Willian/Schürrle and Hazard to give Oscar a rest and Mata a go. Would have suited this better, so we could stretch the game with oure immense technically gifted wingers, plus I would have preferred Ba infront of the goal this time but Mou went for tightn up the pitch and defend, and this was the tactic ou CLAIM Mikel is best in but he wasn't it was by far his wort performance, how come this, how could you explain this to me?

-
Again the question is WHAT is crumbling and WHAT is the maximum pressure, so you expect him to defend solely against 5 Men, am I getting this right? And To win or loose is nailed on the DMs position, it has notihng to tod with the work rate and the wrong players for the wrong tactics... just asking not assuming... There was a point why Real wanted Maka back... EDIT: by the way, am I right Mikel or wasn't MIkel doing a goal line clearance and putting the only few timeslots together where whe had successfull passing... again just asking?
-
Right the question is, what is an acceptable amount of pressure for a DM he should/could handle? one Men advancing towards him, two, thre or more? What is pressure exactly? When SHOULD a DM in a high class mifield at one of the top clubs in worldfootball at all be under pressure from two, three ore more players at any point, is it OK if this situation happens, and how often can he handle this? With all due respect to Mr. Hoddle, Mour told the press what he thought is Mikels ability and he is spot on about it, also I don't agree with all of Mous decisions. I conceede he is inconsistent, but he was far better this season so far, this was his first game I would say he was really bad, also he had some very good games and few so-so, so his consistency and his work rate have been lifted up, without a doubt. So back to my questions above, I would like to have precisely specified these numbers, by you or even by Mr Hoddle...

He is from ghostgoal and sometimes has quite nice statistical posts sometimes. But you don't have to know every Reporter/Poster on the net. I bring Lamps in because he is one of the main reasons our team had a bad game after few in this thread acte like Mikel was the CM and scored 4 owngoals. Its not defending Mikel, but telling things from my point of view and that Lamps was our main Problem you don't loose a single word about his shamebolic performances but jump right into the Mikel thread when he had a bad game. And we all know what you and Phil are demanding from the Manager. I always tell when both have bad games, no problem with that, I'm no fanboy, I'm past this after Drogba left. Also your favourism is clearly to see, and here is another point why I bring up Lamps in a post where somebody moans about our CM that weren't pressing and too slow in transition in the thread about one of our DMs, Lamps is one out of the CM-Pair of yesterday. - Some Poster criticise Mikel for a part he hadn't to play - Some Lampsfanboys have clear favourism in regret to Mikel, because if he plays as a consequence Lamps has to stay on the bench mostly - Some Lampsfanboys don't lose a single word about a shamebolic performance of they're player but even criticise Mikel when he plays a great game So now three points in the context of this thread in my post why I've brought up Lamps name here, you always talk about Lamps in this thread when you tell us he and ramy should play but its not allowed to bring his name up if its not ok for your taste? Karma is a bitch....

You can pick raisins if you hant, two days earlier Bates called him the KEY-Selection for our win against WH http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/287405/analysis ? Maybe I'm right in telling you that one men cant defend against five and its quite impossible? And you should read my post in what to do in the Bael thread. If you like it or not, Legend or not, Lamps is past it and the team is tired, especially Lampard, because they keep gett'n played and played everey two days. And in a pressing high tempo game HE JUST DOESN'T fit the bill anymore, he is the BIGGEST weak link, not the only one, I also said I woud welcome gündogan for example, but at first lams has to stop gett'n played day in day out... Frank isn't anymore that player in 2004/2005 against Barca where he raped them at the bridge... and it's not a disgrace to accept this... he still is a legend and the clubs greatest player ever...
-
exactly but he isn't the central Midfielder, these are Lamps and Rambo... not defending him but you should ciriticise him for things that were his faults, not enough interceptions and too slow transition. but if you're alone protecting the back four agenst 3 or 5 opponents then you can't do anything... how can one men defend 3 or five others? you only look like a headless chicken if you try... again, had a porr game, but the whole team had, ind it wasn't only down to him... Oscar as RW and Lamps as CM are the weaklinks in this game...
-
he can't play the demanded pressing game period
-
I can see what jose tries to do but it doesn't work, as long as he keeps his untouchables imo. He wants to press the ball early and keep the pressure on the opponent, we have only two player for this style in his line ups often. Ramy and Oscar. I don't know why Bertrand and Cole dont play this is beyound me, Bertrand was superb against Arsenal. Then there is the issue with Lamps playing, if you want to play a pressing game you need DeBruyne or Oscar in THIS spot and Mata as #10, there is no way around it with THIS squad. Schürrle and Willian should be starters at rw the whole time, no discussion at all. If we play a pivot, then only with Mikel and Ramy, if we play 4-3-3 then with Mikel-Ramy-Oscar/Lampard, that simple it is at Rightback Azpi should have nailed his startingspot he can't be worse then Ivanovic Luiz should be partnered with Terry, not Cahill, they're too similar, wile luiz brings another aspect to the defence Hazard, Mata and Schürrle/Willian should be right behind the frontmen for me. Oscar just isn't creative, yeah he is a workhorse, he presses perfectly, he has a sublime strike but he is no genius, sorry I say this in a positive way. He is perfect for the CM part any way you turn it. He is a bit like a mixture of Edgar Davids and Seedorf, and I hold this both in high regret as players in my memory. He just isn't as creative and don't have the same spark as Mata. And what is wron with him as #10 we're withnessing the whole season now, he presses the back four of our opponents solely in they're half, thats understandable because it needs so much stamnia to play pressing game if the whole team doesn't press. And IF you want to play a pressing game, you have to play it from the front three to the midfield, and you need someone in the middle of the Park to Calm down the game when you regain it for a simple pass (Mikel/or Gündogan please in january). You need also some one wo can press and is creative too at the same time with a perfect first touch and a nice throughball (Oscar or deBruyne), then you need a workhorse whom just can pick up for blips of stamina during that high intense game periods (Ramy). The front three behind the striker need to be quick in transition and very assured with the ball, with nice quick and slick passing, and we have Hazard, Mata, Shürrle and Willian, albeit till now, Schürrle and Willian get the nod ahead of Hazard to me. And then you need a Striker that can run off the Shoulder of a defender to get into that balls, we don't need a technical high ability player, this was drogba, he was a beast and he could anything with the ball, his flicks and tricks where often overseen but he was unbeliveably technical gifted, but we don't need this kind of striker, we need a Torrs or a Lukaku/Lewandowsky even Carroll-Type of player (with Carroll-Type I think not of him as he is a looser but same stature), albeit Lewa is very very good with the ball on his feet. Lamps has no place anymore for me, despite in a 4-3-3 against weaker opponents, or in very big games to bring calmness. I think we have a great Squad but Mous untouchable-Tactics are applied with the wrong players, still I trust in him and I can see what he wants at the Arsenal game and at Hull the 1st half and against WH, but we often perform when our so called B-Squad players are on the pitch, and not our 1st-Team. And often are the players involved I have counted above. So there are plenty of points Mou is getting wrong for me but still he also is a tactical genius and in Jose I trust. EDIT: I forgot I'm assuming a 4-2-3-1 more in this style: RB------------CB------CB---------LB ------------DM---------------- ---------------------------CM/DLP -------------OM------------------------ RW----------------------------------LW -----------------Striker a bit more like a 4-3-3, but the RW and LW are closer to the OM
-
what a Legend.

WTF. Mou is back, he is unbeliveable, he made Mikel score guys and made him play pretty well and much more consistent so far, he adressed nearly all problems. He has two points which he is totally wron at IMHO but still, I FULLY trust him, I thought it was a bit of banter from ppl. but he isnt Rafa he isn't AVB he loves this club and he said directly and immidiatly that this team isn't complete that he will struggle that he doesn't expect us to win anything but he will TRY to win everything, so he was completely honest and still we've gote some ppl. questioning him, what 3 Month into the season? We're 4 Points from top-spot and CL-Groupleaders, am I really still the fan of that club that loved to be at the CL, even if they didn't win it? OK expectation have risen, but still, get real. Mou was honest, after he left many many things went wrong, we even had such world class players as Tal Ben-Haim and Mineiro at our disposal at one point if I may call your memories. He said he will give his all and that this will be his toughest job but he loves the club and he want to bring stability. He is Manager and not technical director, he isn't at fault for buying 435.78 Attacking players and not buying one single capable CM. His two wrong points, keeping playing lampard, he has a bit part role and he should do his legendary state a favour. SFL I honour what you've done, I will hold you as one of the best Players ever alongside Zidane, Ronaldinho, Pirlo etc., but there was always a time. As an affect of this, he keeps Mikel on the bench, and shackles Rambo. The other point is in my opinion to play Oscar as #10 and keep mata on the Bench. I've often said, I think Oscar would be great as CM and Mata just HAS to play, not because of his PAST, he played pretty well in nearly every game, only when he had to play on the wings he wasn't that little genius we know. Still, in Mou I trust, I've dreamed about him comeing back for soooo long and I'm left in disbelief.
-
WTF? Our Homesupport is an issue for qite long now... so what does this have to do with the team performing bad? Wahts your Point bushman?
-
oh yeah, saying lampard is the biggest footballer this club ever whitnessed, but he is gett'n old and he should play to his physical ability is shitting on him with glee? C'mon. Yeah there are some Mikel-Fan-boys but just because for example I say Lamps is past it I'm shitting on him? OK lets get Zola back, because hes a legend, he should get a life long contract and play untill he is 175 years old.. Demands of footbal are not the same as 20 years ago, where players could play untill they're 40's
-
thats right, and like I said, I missed that with him and his aggressiveness, he showed some crisp and sharp passes yesterday, thats one dimension of his passing I like but he seldom shows it, the same goes with his long range passes, he plays them with pin point accuracy, even he played not so well against Tottenham, he made sum sublime long range passes 3 or 4 of them nearly led to an gol, with an in form Anelka or Drogs they would've gone in. So maybe Mou still sees his talent and wants to fulfill what he started with him.
-
when fans start gett'n ridiculous and embrass themselfs...
-
thats what I'm whitnessing too. I have seen it since Mou has came back, as if he was listening to me, but wouldn't expect anything else from the best Manager in the World. Mikel lacked aggresiveness and despite his big physicality somehow stamnia, you could see it in the interview after his goal against Fullham, he was exhaust, and this was one of his best matches this season. And everytime you see he isn't good enoug, it seems Mou takes him aside in training, and trains his aggressiveness, and despite not to start as much games as before, he has great words for mou and always smiles in training. Maybe, just maybe Mou can get him to that stamnia level, that he gan work for 90 mins and still be fit and sharp, so he would have all he was missing to be a top top player. After 2 Seasons my hopes get higher the longer he plays under Mou. But Mou fought to get him and said about the very fist trainingsession "We have found Nigerian gold", so he must exactly know what he wants from Mikel but couldn't fulfill his legacy with him. maybe happy end?
-
so I apologiese.
-
strange, you come up with that but when often enough stated that mikel had far less backwards and sideway passes then some really big named attacking midfielders in the EPL, you didn't like the empirical dat. Even when I discussed about Carlos Regin and Mikel under him with stats you didn't like it, so I don't know why out of all of them you should complian. but maybe my memory is wrong. Statistics don't matter when it comes to Mikel, only personal opinions. And you would state Lamps brought us forward leaps and bounds or what?
-
still he is a better DM CM pairing with Ramy then Ramy and Lamps, this should tell you something about it... and I'm one of always saying Mikel is too inconsistent... Mikel was much better under Mou and hade some very good games and one not so good, Lamps has played pretty much every game and I can think about 2 good games of him. Not only he doesn't live up to his prior standards he even stops Ramy from being what he is best at, a CM... he limitates the team, there is no point in defending Lamps... and I put Mikel forward for the lack of alternatives, he came forward this season, but still had a bad game, this should happen in one out of 30 gams, not in one out of 5. So I'm open to a move, I wanted KPB and Capoue, but both ar gone and the window opens in 2 months.
-
I think yes, he has all the tools to play there. To be perfectly honest, when I didn't knew him, when we first signed him, I thought he would be the direct replacement for Lamps, from my Point of View I would never have called him a #10 but so tastes are different and as long as he performs it isn't up to me. Some act like the world would go down in flames if Oscar was a CM, I think he would be more then world class if he plays there. His stamina, his shooting, his nonsense passes and Rambo isn't a beast either but plays pretty well in the CM-Role... so why shouldn't he be able? just my 2 Cents
-
Lamps doesn't perform regularly, period. Legend or not he and Jose should accept. He can still put in a shift in few games, lets say 20 a season. either get him off move rambo there and play Mikel, or buy a new one, Lamps just doesn't fit the bill, nobody doubts his Lgendary state I think. but this isn't Lamps thread. So I will leave it with that.
-
luiz for me
-
we've been shit in that midfield, Oscar ws greedy as shit, Mata was awfull but created few throughballs, Ba went Berzerk in the first half and shit in second... our mdfield was awfull
-
What a CRACKER... Wilian wtf?
