From team selection so far I see Van Ginkel and Essien in front of Mikel and am completely in agreement with this ,at OT I can see Lampard and Ramires as certain starters and one of Van Ginkel or Essien replacing Mata or Oscar ,sorry I dont see Mourinho using Mikel at the likes of OT ,we will see. By the way do you know anything about David Speedie if not ,have a look at my thread and no I take nothing personally ,everybody has an opinion inc. me and Mourinho. Lets see what happens ,I think Mourinho does not fancy Mikel .

An opinion is fine but all you ever do is post about how bad Mikel is and why Mourinho does not want him etc... and how good Lampard is, nothing else. Rubbish ,go to ex players and you will find my David Speedie thread ,have you even ever heard of David Speedie? But yes it is only right to dig out poor players hanging around on big contracts who are clearly not going to play and those who are being written off way to early and have plenty to offer,it seems Mourinho sees it this way as well if team selection is a guide,dont worry I will not take it the wrong way ,I will keep on posting what I posted on how Mourinho will not fancy Mikel because he is a special manager who can see who is contributing on the pitch.

Jose will get inside Rammys head, he has obviously recognised his talent and I think he has identified a role in the team for Rammy where he can become very effective for us.

Agree. I think that Rami works best with Mikel next to him as well and I also think Lamps with MVG will work too. The signs are that Mourinho doesnt agree and Mikel will not be working as well with anyone as his first choice was Lampard/Ramires those are the stats you should be looking at .

The Ramires, Lampard combination will interchange one will sit and one can go ,you will see this with these two and in a Mourinho team ,as opposed to when Mikel is playing where everybody knows he will just sit (inc the opposition) the interchanging of positions is key and will be in this team. I see you do not want to discuss the Ramires pass to Torres for the pen. that is fine as Mourinho's team selection tells us how he is thinking. Ramires will get forward at times and Lampard will sit as they both have the ability to do this ,Mikel has no ability to get forward as your maps will show and will not include a pass like Ramires/Torres for the pen yesterday from that deeper role. What one of your maps shows Mikel in the stands yesterday?

The message should be loud and clear now - Ramires - Phoned personally by Mourinho in the summer and left in no doubt of his worth to Chelsea Football Club. Lampard- Only a clown would doubt how good Mourinho knows Frank still is. Essien - Doesnt he call Mourinho Daddy and on the bench yesterday Van Ginkel - New to the club - but on the bench yesterday and came on. Luiz - To my mind better in that role than Mikel . Ake - Played against Everton last season while Mikel watched. Chalobert - Could also be in front of Mikel now and improving by the day. Mourinho management style is all about psycology he misses nothing and for Mikel the message was clear yesterday,he was not even on the bench and looks to be well down the pecking order,the signs are very good that we will not have to put up with Mikel for too much longer and I would hope he can find a new club and we can thank him for his efforts, hanging around and picking up that large pay cheque for five years stealing a living will not see him leave with any good will and if I were the club I would not be asking for a big fee to move him on. As I expected it looks as though Mourinho has come to the club and is making the right calls from day one, no messing and that is part of what makes him the great manager he is as it takes a higher level of understanding of the game to see how much negativity Mikel brings to the team when he plays and obviously Mourinho has that and has been watching us diligently.

Not your maps again Choulo ,have you got one that shows Mikel's backwards passes? Aggression,energy,stamina,tackling ,pressing and does that map show Rammys ball over the top for Torres for the penalty, something Mikel has never done in seven years from that role ,hence not even on the bench.

I am afraid your sitting midfielder who holds hands with JT & co filling gaps of his own making may well be thing of the past under Jose Choulou everyone is a box to box player ,no passengers on this bus

I read plenty of Chelsea fans predicted teams before the games on forums and it amazed me how many were lacking the name Lampard he was always going to play as first choice under Jose for all the big games and the first game of any season is a big game , a lot of nonsense has been written about Lampard being finished ,but like Mourinho I look at the performance of the player and not the birth certificate,he will still be at the club next season so sit back and enjoy real class.

For Jon Obi it looks like he has been sussed ,I knew it would not take Jose long ,finally we have a manager who " does know what he is doing" not even on the bench ,even Mikel must realise he would be better off finding a new club? Rammy,Lamps,Van Ginkel and Essien all look to be in front of Obi under Jose and I reckon he would also play Luiz in front of him ,anyone think he could be at a new club before the window closes?

Was everything Mikel is not ,bite ,energy,guts,stamina,progressive,committed,fast,plays as high up the pitch as he can and wins posession so we can counter,but is quick enough to be back in position to defend and passing was good ,always good to be proven right on a player and happy to have Jose back making the right calls .

If he came to us he would be joint first choice with Ash to mentor him for a season ,then it will all be his next season in my opinion ,that would be my talk if I were trying to sign him ,he is 17 and is going to be one of the best in the world ,telling him he is third choice will not convince if that is what we are doing.

That might help as it is as far as I can see ,he plays for Southampton only 1 hour from Cobham and a short flight to Manchester and until he signs for us ,the discussion should continue.

He is ready for a big club if his performances are the guide and fair enough if he wants to stay at Southampton and not play in the champions league and not win medals ,but if and when he decides he is ready to play for a big club that club should be Chelsea. He is ready for our first team now and if I were at Chelsea I would be letting him know that when he is ready to move to a big club ,that big club should be the club he supports, we should be chasing English players with his kind of talent with urgency.

The boy is a Chelsea fan and the lure of Champions League football ,medals,playing for a big club and England as well as more money is usually what makes a player move and all that is at Chelsea the club the boy supports ,not sure what the point about other clubs being interested relevance is,because if we make a move he will surely come to us as his first choice and as I say English talent like this is rare and should be pursued with urgency. And my main point is we have a scouting failure at the club for us not to have signed Shaw BEFORE he signed his new deal with Southampton in the summer,he is and was a very obvious transfer target for many reasons .
