Another one up north on a wet windy day who did not fancy it ,he was awful and contributed nothing ,him and Oscar looked lost and created nothing with all that possession. Neither of them drove at Newcasle running beyond their back four and where were our shots? Most of our chances were from John Terry and corners. Mata and Oscar gave us no power on a wet windy day up north ,we were to weak for that kind of game.

His name should be the discussion this morning he was awful ,we used to have gutless centre halves like he was yesterday in the late seventies who played like cowards up north and did not like the weather ,if he likes playing on the beach ,England is not for him . Gary Cahill must partner John Terry who was fantastic .

How did that work 1st half v Spurs?

A lot of people are missing the point here ,is Lampard scoring as many goals as he once did ? No Why? Because he is playing much deeper. Would he have been more of a threat in a more forward role yesrerday? I think yes definiteley. He would have at least had a shot from distance and would have arrived in the box from midfield,we were awful going forward. Is he better than Mikel in the holding role?. Yes he is useless and we would have lost yesterday with him in,Mikel' stats are terrible win/play. And he needs to leave the club if he is so good because a 35 year old has taken his place. Our problem yesterday was our front 4 and Mr Luiz ,not our midfield pair who gave our front playrers 61% possession . zeez eeez facts.

I can only think because he played v City and v Arsenal as he was very good in both games and it was rotation.

We had 61% possession without him . Would slower possession have done the trick? No, our front four and Mr Luiz were our problems today . Sorry to answer my own question .

He is worse than that every time he plays ,that is why he doesn't play . He will be moving on soon . Another bench day today ,he couldnt improve on what we saw ,we were already far to slow today with no penetration and that is the name of his game .

We would have been even slower than we were with him in the team,he would have made not a bit of difference and we would still have had a large share of posession but gone nowhere even slower than we did. It would have been a waste of time to even bring him on as a sub as he could only have made us slower and pedestrian,that is what he does.

I think that will be the last time we see Oscar and Mata in a Chelsea team away from home together,Jose's fears have been realised they are too similar as players and they offer little when we are defending,after Arsenal it was an obvious decision to pair them but today showed the problems we encounter with both in the team.

Neither of them will make a run beyond Torres or get to the by line, it makes us very easy to defend against, Mata or Oscar for me and I would even like to see Hazard in the ten role and neither of them in the team . We had no penetration at all in that team today somebody from the midfield needs to run beyond Torres , we had no pace in the team today and they both offer nothing defensively . 61% posession and we never looked like getting in behind them,these two do all their work in front of the opposition back four.

On a bad day for us ,lets take some consolation from the fact that our leader is still very much that. He was immense and that will hurt him as much as it does us.

Lets be honest ,he would have been better used in a more forward position today ,anybody remember Villa and Everton last season? We did not look like scoring despite 61% posession ,oh for one of those long shots ,we looked like Arsenal today ,tippy tappy tarts . In no way can you blame the pivot for that. Did anybody ever run past Torres? into their box?

Absoloute rubbish every opportunity . Our AM's and curly heade CB were the problem today ,the pivot was very good ,sideways slow passes would have made us worse today .

The only defending that was embarrasing today was the curly headed clown ,the only thing missing today was a red nose .

Well we dominated posession and did nothing with it and the goal came from a free kick that needed clearing by a defender ,what else do you want from the pivot? Goals? I suggest you do not play Mikel then . If we dominate posession like that with Lampard further forward ,we at leats shoot . You need to look at others for that defeat . 61% posession away from home is big ,where was the end product ie goals? The pivot kept us ticking in fact it was the only aspect of our game that worked on the day.

We dominated posession ,that is what the DM's are supposed to make us do ,what did we do with that posession? Nobody had a shot our creative play was awful ,Lampard should play further forward on that display ,who scored the goals at everton and Villa who saved us last season ,Oscar and Mata were very poor they are meant to make posession count ,both did nothing ,no runners arrived in the box and where were our shots?

I am sorry but that half hearted tackle he bottled out of and that sneaky cowards trip summed him up ,northern crowds and teams love to play against that ,he was mentally weak and his passing was awful they gave him the run around and he did not fancy it ,you could see it written all over his face ,this is not football on the beach .

We had all the posession ,we did nothing with it ,to me the finger needs pointing at Oscar,Mata and Torres ,they did nothing at all they need to make things happen in a game where we dominate posession . Oscar and Mata together away from home is not one I like and today showed it .

Maybe he is still our best goalscorer ,because today we were awful in front of goal ,did anybody shoot in the whole match you cant score from the pivot when you are asked to back up the play ,our front three were ineffective ,although Hazard did well . WHERE WERE THE SHOTS?

Very glad that Jose did not bring on Mikel though despite a very poor performance today by the team , I would have taken Oscar off and put Lamps in the AM position we did not have one shot on goal from distance ,Oscar and Mata were the real culprits both were awful .

Superb today but a lot of gutless performances around him ,playing with Luiz must be a nightmare .

He could be 55 he would be more mobile than Mikel . The pivot was not to blame for that performance ,Lampard would have done much better than Oscar and Mata today further forward ,they were both abysmal .

He did ok the problems were elsewhere ,I am sure had he playerd further forward he would have done better than Oscar and Mata who were lost ,nobody had a shot at goal it was awful .

Cahill defends the percentages ,the cross needed to be headed out for the first goal ,that half hearted tackle he made was a disgrace and that Girly trip he did ,he was a joke and just the type of weak mentally player northern teams love .
