We win more games when Mikel does not start. We lose fewer games when Mikel does not start. We score more goals when Mikel does not start. We concede fewer goals when Mikel does not start. But, but, but Mikel is our best DM. ROFL, still trying to wrap my head around that argument. Go on Choulo19 and The Skipper. You are doing it right.
-
You must be privy to some exclusive insider info because mikel has not been mentioned even once by mourinho.
-
Jeez. It gets idiotic day by day.1. There is a diff in saying that at the start of the season when you have CL to look forward to vs when you have been dumped from CL and europa league is the only trophy that your fans can look forward to that year. Fans travelled to czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland, Russia and holland for the competition. How do you think they feel when players say such things before games. 2. As if his words were not enough, mikel put in absolutely shite performances to back up those words.

Not many better big game playera than milito of 2009-2010
-
Exactly. You can say that he has not been sufficiently tested vs the top teams while playing in the pivot. That would be sensible. But to say, 'david luiz in midfield' experiment failed is downright stupidity.
-
Will be featuring in one half of the game tomorrow. Lets see if he can make the step up from the dutch to epl teams.q

Reality is hard to face, no?

Played 15 games in DM. we won 12, drew 1 and lost 2 of those ( vs qpr when fsw rested mata, hazard n rami and vs swansea when ivanovic was not sure which side he was playing for).we scored 43 goals (2.8 per game) and conceded 13 goals (.87 per game) in these 15. Sure lets term that as a failure. Good lord. Thats a pretty inverted view of the game.

Thats what I meant, his strongest assets: squatting on the bench

Galatasaray's assistant manager Hasan Sas has come out and said that they never bid for John Obi Mikel (http://tr.eurosport.com/futbol/super-lig/2012-2013/super-lig-hasan-sas-melo-yu-sectik_sto3844013/story.shtml) Trabzonspor boss Ibrahim has already said that there is not an iota of truth in the reports linking them with John Obi Mikel. So as I was saying earlier.
-
aah in the fantasy world. Now you are comparing Mikel to Makelele. Have some mercy on others man. Last season, we won 43.7% of our games when Mikel started vs 67.5% of the games when he did not. I am sure we will miss him for that extra 23.8% Last season, we lost 34.3% of our games when Mikel started vs 13.5% of the games when he did not. I am sure we will miss him when we don't lose that extra 20.8% of those games. Last season we scored 1.68 goals per game when Mikel started vs 2.51 goals per game when he did not start. I am sure we will miss him when we score those extra 0.83 goals per game. Last season we conceded 1.53 goals per game when Mikel started vs 0.89 goals per game when he did not start. I am sure we will wonder how to concede those extra 0.64 goals per game without Mikel. Essien may have lost some of his strength and speed but he will always put his heart into performance and work dilligently, not start complaining like Mikel that he feels too precious to compete in a tournament or a so and so tournament is beneath his abilities. The speed of that double pivot will be slower than continental drift.

Your "opinion" has been disproven time and time again by others n myself.
-
that tactically defend bit is a hogwash. And you continue to prove you did not watch Chelsea play last season. How about you write at least one line which makes a semblance of logic for once? You know something that is slightly closer to reality. Try
-
Do you have a proof that anybody made an offer for him? "What makes you think you know everything about him? Are you like a stalker? Dude please stop trying to force your issues down peoples throats."
-
Thank you, that is exactly what I meant. And any sane person will understand that but I guess we all know that ship has long sailed for Choulo19 Have you been living under a rock for the past one year? Oscar made more tackles (86 in 24 starts and 10 sub appearances) than all of Chelsea's players except Ramires in PL last season. The defensive rock that you worship, John Obi Mikel made 51 tackles in 19 starts and 3 sub appearances. Oscar committed 33 fouls in these 34 PL appearances while Mikel committed 35 fouls in 22 appearances. If you dont watch football, you dont have to comment about it and spread your ignorant views. Nobody is holding a gun to your head and asking you to type random conjectures here.
-
what a joke. Oscar does not have defending ability? Arteta, Pirlo will disagree with that among others. This is getting embarrassing now.
-
Moses might be tempted to make this shift for regular football considering it is the world cup year.
-
The club have not had the chance to say NO to any clubs because there has not been any concrete offer for Mikel. Only PR stunts from his agent and that Nigerian journalist Colin Udoh. A year on the bench awaits John Obi Mikel.
-
@bluefire: mind sharing the link to that article?
-
I wont be holding my breath for this galatasaray move to happen. There is no concrete interest here. He has been the biggest benificiary of the revlolving door policy that we have for the managers. A new manager comes in, soon realizes Mikel is garbage and puts him in his deserved place (bench) and before he can buy a replacement, he is fired and the cycle repeats itself.
-
Lolwut? "conspiracy by a set of fans 2 force him out"? Did you forget to take your medicines again? How can you expect to be taken seriously when you say things like than on the forum? What part do you disagree with? That he will not be able to play at his "preferred" position at Chelsea considering we already have Mata, Oscar and hazard here?
-
Real mature from mikel. Passing the buck on to the managers. He should accept the reality that he will not get the position/role that he is looking for at chelsea and move on. Spare is the torture lad.
-
You just cannot take things applicable to Arsenal and argue for them in Chelsea forums. We are a team that actually competes for trophies. We invariably compete till later stages of knockout competitions. In these last 7 seasons we have won 4 FA Cups, 2 league cups, 2 community shield trophies, 1 Champions league, and appeared in a lot of finals and semi finals. As a result of this we have played far more games every season than your "top 4 is a trophy for us" joke of a club.. Chelsea have played 421 'competitive' games in these 7 seasons and Mikel has started 222 of them, just above 50%. and he has only started more than 35 games only in one season (2008-09 after the departure of Makelele and injury to Essien).
-
What about 16 and 20?

Welcome to Andre Schurrle and lets hope for the best.
