You know what. Let's not bother signing any young prospect! They all could be the next Carlton Cole or Emile Heskey. We should use Lampard, Drogba and co for the next twenty years. Because, every youth player has to be like the other youth players that we had that turned out not so great!

Too bad injuries ruined his chances here. He showed, at times, some slick skills but the injuries did over-shadow that, and he did never seem to be fully into the games when he did play. 13 million isn't a bad price though, and i hope we can use that in signing his replacemnt on the wing, on someone like Mata.

Anelka and Drogba are leaving next summer, i presume. Kalou is all but a winger, in the sense. Sturridge, Torres, Lukaku will be our three striker from next season onwards. The fact he is willing to wait for his oppertunity should warrant his appeal. Anelka's contract will be over, and i doubt Drogba will be here for much longer, tbh.

But this way we can get him at a price which is cheaper now and does in time reach Anderlecht's price tag. It is, in someways a win/win scenario.

Knowing most of the rumours that are posted, that is from Twitter and some nobody trying to pose that they know the in's and out's to every transfer in the world. If this comes down to personal preference, we all know he will choose Chelsea. I think Lukaku is more down to Earth to move somewhere for a pay-day and where his development would be tarnished and NEVER get an oppertunity, whereas Chelsea is looking like we are trying to build for the future. Lukaku is being chased by many big clubs, and it is a scenerio of get him now or don't get him at all. So the whole, 'wait till next Transfer Window' won't work in our case. He might be a priority, but he would be a luxury buy for now and in the future will show his worth. His future, which is undecided unlike some fortune tellers here, has yet to happen, therefore we can't speculate the success he would amount on pure guess. And the last time i checked - he has a better goalscoring record then Heskey did in his whole International career, in his in just the last few months. EDIT: Tided it up. He has shown some talent that is overall better then anyone else in that league, and has yet to reach the age of 20. He has years to adapt, which is a sole reason for getting him as soon as and getting him to be molded for the same style as Drogba. Kezman was 24/25 when he came here and was expected to perform to the top level. Lukaku will need time, no doubt, but in the long term he is more of a prospect then Kezman.

We wouldn't have to loan him. He is a kid with a brain. And the expierience of training with his idol should help his development more anyway

If we offered something in around 20m, i would think it would be accepted. But really, we should also look at getting an alternative just incase we can't, because something like Pastore could happen again. People like Albrighton, McCarthy, Turan, but the one i would go for Mata. Johnson should be the top dog to go for, but i think we ideally need two wingers.
