  1. Be honest mate, would Ron Harris have held the club to ransom like what John Terry or Lampard did years ago ? No. I have a moan about this every season because its something that gets on my nerves. Players are not loyal anymore and football is a business now, they don't give a damn about us anymore. They see us as a cash cow more then ever and that is fact. I will never buy another Football shirt ever again in my life, i will continue to attend the odd game but that will be it.
  2. I am not saying that our team overall was better, all i'm saying is we are different overall as a club. We have lost our soul and it hurts, Stamford Bridge is a ghost town now. Going to Chelsea games in the late 90's early 00's was much better then the shambles now. The stadium was rocking all the time and we used to sing blue day like crazy but now its gone, the only place were its still present to a certain extent is the Mathew Harding stand. Even during the Jose years, teams like Liverpool would equal us even though they had shite like Traore in one off games because their fans were a 12th man.
  3. I could not have put it better Alex. The thing is people seem to think that we were shit before Roman arrived, we were a good side we were the equivalent of a modern day Tottenham, we had some players in that side that would walk into this team. We should of won the league in 1998-1999 it was only for a special treble winning side that stopped us but the football we played in that season was just mind blowing. The atmosphere has gone because the real supporters don't go anymore like Oxfordblues, we don't have that many real supporters anymore. If Roman had not taken over then most of our foreign fan base would not even consider Chelsea. This is not to attack some of the people on this forum who live elsewhere but that is a fact, Man utd had a monopoly on foreign support before Roman arrived ! All of a sudden we have people travelling from Malaysia to watch games at the bridge... that would never of happened before Roman arrived.
  4. I know we are a much better side then what we were but i really preferred it when we were a top 6 side. Since Roman arrived we have lost something, it seems that we are not Chelsea fc the family club anymore we have lost so much tradition and its not nice. I am not as passionate as what i used to be for the club, i am still a supporter but i am not as much a supporter as what i used to be. I don't attend half the games as what i used to and its all down to the fact that Chelsea FC has lost its sole in my opinion. Chelsea Fc has lost its connection with the fans since Roman arrived and that is a fact you only have to speak to the older fans who attended games in the 80's. What is your opinion ?
  5. If that took a whole bottle of wine then i to find out what a Champions league final would take.
  6. Its a nice competition to get players important match fitness. Players need games and this competition is one were you can tinker.
  7. If this goes to Pens we will probably win lol.
  8. Who else is happy that we can't actually watch this game lol sounds like we are in the trenches.
  9. Saha again . Anelka could of squared it for Lukaku in the 4th min.
  10. Ian Dowie was really shocked when Lukaku came off he said he thought it would of been Anelka or Kalou.
  11. Suarez is comparable to Zola in terms of skill but Zola had much more pace then Suarez and he was deadly from a set piece. Zola was something else, he would add so much to this side, i miss him soooooo much he used to make me watch match of the day every Saturday morning as a kid. I used to try the little turns and drop of the shoulder's of Zola with a rolled up sock when i was 10, if he played in the current Chelsea side he would win those games were they are leading to a bore draw he was that special. He was not robotic like many of our players he could turn someone and create space like no other player. The only player in the late 90's who was just as good as Zola at playing the second striker role was Parma's Ariel Ortega, Ortega was a Argentinean genius.
  12. He would not survive in this league, he has also stagnated in his development in some technical aspects of the game. He was a superb teenager but its been 5 years now and he has not broken into Juve's midfield, he is a decent player with good control and skill but he is not someone who will improve us, juve sold him because he needs too much of the teams resources to function properly. He would do well at a mid table club were they would idolize his technical skill and vision, Aston Villa would be perfect for him with Bent's pace and movement.
  13. I don't think Terry said anything like what they are portraying. He probably agreed with Ferdinand sarcastically that he did say black whatever. I doubt he would say it in a direct context because Ashley is really sensitive about these things, i remember against Spain when he was the most effected by the monkey chants even though SWP was the main attraction for those chants. Ashley kept giving the ball away as soon as he heard the chants.
  14. I wouldn't be shocked if it was mate after what i heard at the Chelsea v Wigan match at the DW stadium i think it was in 2008. Avram grant was subject to Gas chamber noises it was vile and it shocked me at how many people were doing it. I don't think
  15. I would only agree to this if he was to play as a second striker in a 4-4-2 against the weaker and mid table sides. Otherwise he is pointless.
  16. We don't need a holding player bombing forward, we will be exploited by the big sides, i would rather him play centre back.
  17. It's not the fact that he is Brazilian its more to do with English football fans love kicking a man when he is down, they build players up then they knock them down. If they had Messi in their national team they would find a way to dismantle his confidence, they fucking abused Lampard right the way through his career. English football fans mentality Henrique !
  18. Some players are just like this naturally, i don't think it can be completely coached out of him, Carvalho had it right the way through his career and we let it slide because he gave us so much in other area's. Ivanovic will be out paced by certain strikers like when he was burnt by Eto'o, Terry also has his flaws. David Luiz has pace to burn he is technically one of the best in the league he is also good in the air. This is just one of his flaws and it cant be coached out of him but it can be controlled to a certain extent but i would rather have David Luiz in my team then not put it that way.
  19. Exactly Carvalho was just as ''rash'' as what David Luiz is now at the age of 30. He never got any questions asked of him because we were winning titles.
