He’s decent , I don’t think he’ll be more than a squad option in a team chasing the big trophies but he’s got hustle and way more useful than mudryk on the other flank , still question marks over attitude.
hutchinson has a higher ceiling imo tho
Amorim is much less of a gamble than potter.
less of a gamble than Pochettino too , if the goal is to actually win something and not just be a steady decent club
So we wait until everyone is settled and doing decent under Poch and then sack him in order to win something? Or do we give up on winning trophies and settle for being a decent team ?
For sure , if we picked him up for 30m he probably wouldn’t get much criticism but for a record breaking fee... I think it was onemosalah who said for that money for a midfielder you need to be getting an elite goal scorer or playmaker
Caicedo lacks the acceleration to ever be WC imo, he doesn’t have have any outstanding physical attribute , height , strength , speed etc, and he won’t justify his price tag by he technical ability or goal scoring
Stats and data based analysis is why we signed loads of duds
anyone with working eyesight and a modicum of football knowledge can tell caicedo is a poor passer
and if we are comparing him to gallagher , then who cares because he’s shite too
He does easily , he’s not a technical midfielder at all but his passing is crisper and more accurate than caicedo, who often seems to struggle with the basics
klopp joined liverpool with a great track record of prior success , so he earned the extra patience. you can't just waste years on coaches like poch, lampard or potter who have never done anything. We could still be employing lampard with this logic
