I started a new game of FM 2009 last night as Chelsea after I lost my old games by formatting my PC. Didn't play any of it yet as it was pretty late but I will give it a bash tonight I expect. Anyone have any stories about their/your FM save games?

SKY SPORTS/FOOTBALL I rate Ibra but I don't think he is worth as much as £70m, that's just crazy money. It's tough to guess if he would fit in well with the British game. Look at Sheva for a good example of what I mean.

I'm a big Drogba fan but I would have to go for JT. Taking a captain like Terry away from the club would be like ripping it's heart out imo.

That's the report from the BBC with a wee bit of extra info on it. Glad to see that he is still overseeing the scouting at the club though. The guy has a fantastic eye for talent.

I think I'm going to be getting the full home strip this year. Really like the design of the top, the bicycle-attire look is well smart. HAVE to get 'Drogba 11' on the back though.

I'm sure I will mate. Unfortunately not all of the Rangers fans on other forum's I use are as fond of Chelsea as I am myself. Smacks of ungratefulness. Surely if he is so confident of his own ability and Chelsea are offering him a professional deal hw should be accepting it.

Fair point. Ancelotti did prefer a loan spearhead at Milan as well.

I concur. What would you do with Malouda and Zhirkov though? Or even Joe Cole, Quaresma (although he may be going back to Inter) and Kalou?

If he is anywhere near as good in real life as he is in Football Manager then Chelsea have a total gem of a player . Seriously though, it's good to have another good left-sided player in the squad. Up until recently I hadn't fancied Malouda as a great player at all. Hopefully a bit of competition for places will urge him to keep up his good form.

Is this deal still on-going? I'd like to see Chelsea bolster the attacking options for next season. I am a big fan of Drogs and Anelka has been great since he came in but I think that Tevez would offer a little bit of a different option up top.

How do? The names Charlie (or Chicco for short). Massive Rangers fan from Scotland but I have enjoyed watching Chelsea since the days of Vialli and the Cup Winners Cup win and, more recently, the days of King Jose Mourinho. Been wanting to get on to a decent Chelsea forum for a while now and was given the address for this one by Aesthetic Relic (Cheers mate). Hope to get involved a bit of chat and banter soon enough.
