I think your missing the point mate. Whilst we have been stupid in the past I do not think Jose will be daft enough to allow it to happen again. If we get Rooney Ba will probably be allowed to go, if we don't get Rooney it does sound like a back up plan is place and so on. Either way we won't have two strikers going into the season, it will be three at least.

Thing with Spurs right now if they sell Bale is they go from a one man team to a team of 11 players. The players that are being added are of great quality with depth and versatility. It will make for a real interesting season.
