It's becoming a general consensus with Luiz though, he just is generally poor right now. Let's put love for him and wanting to cuddle him to one side because he makes funny finger gestures on twitter. He's lost the basics of basic defending. You speak about his doubters as if they hate him, he plays for CFC nobody hates him, but if he isn't doing it he deserves to be dropped, not only dropped but sort his fucking head out. We speak more of his mistakes now because they are becoming more and more prominent, people aren't making this shit up, he's poor but in all this we want him to be this top class centre back people claim he is......fucking show us please David. Luiz needs to start tuning in and fast.

Barbara I appreciate your response and stand by what I think regarding Luiz right now. I really think he is a talented guy but one that leaves you in complete jaw dropping moments at the basics he get's wrong. Your love for him is clouding your judgement IMO, so agree to disagree on this one. Best wishes.

Nobody from what I read are making him the single scape goat, after all, this is the Luiz thread and people are rightly discussing his frailties. Not even the most ardent Luiz fan can say he's playing well, he's not and needs to up his game, as do most of them for that matter so it's not Luiz, just the Luiz thread.

Not getting at players enough for me and has this awful habit of trying the same thing where he spins the defender with his back to them and tries to out do them with that same thing time and again. Get back to basics and driving at players.

Luiz right now is struggling with the basics, just because he has a barrier of centre backs behind him in the pivot that should mean little. Luiz needs to get to the basics as quick as fucking possible or find himself down the road at the earliest possibly opportunity, as I feel Jose is losing it with him.

I think people need to realise the club is evolving, Frank like many has been a truly amazing person for this club but we need more in that position more now than ever before. This isn't just since yesterday's defeat it's since the end of last season. He will do a job but we need more than that, and for me the sooner we get that person the better, or develop that person the better.

Yes he should be dropped, that's correct. I'm really failing to see what he offers right now, it isn't a lot. JT has been rejuvenated since Jose came back, he's been incredibly solid, Lampard has been poor IMO, and Jose selection of him leaves me questioning exactly what Jose is seeing in him.

There is no guarantee anything will happen in January. Two players of Rami and Lampard are not working because both like to go forward, anyone who sits and allows one to go will work, even Mikel.

Was Cahill injured? If not, I see no reason why he was dropped in favour of Luiz.
