  1. Did fine, he needs to now build on this and continue to be solid and prove his worth if selected.
  2. I know what your saying and with most being poor I was focusing on how players approached the game and how they did with the basics during it. Like I said in the match thread I was looking at the close control, tracking back and passing as a whole and Willian did it all for me, he got the basics spot on. Some of his cross field balls to feet were just delightful, he also showed some quality first touch control when all others looked like they had controlled a ball in their life before.
  3. Cech Azpilicueta Luiz Terry Cole Ramires Lampard Willian Mata Hazard Torres
  4. Did enough but far from convincing. What was massively noticeable to me was how poor 90% of our teams first touch is. It takes us two touches before the ball is set from the player and allow him to move it on. Watching Bayern on Tuesday was a lesson in one touch control regardless of the finishing the result, the technique was sublime. Also our poor pass selection is something that needs huge work. We countered a few times last night with Oscar and Hazard and the player who had the ball had easy out-balls to slide someone in and either chose to take the man on when the easier option was there, or, make the wrong pass to someone in a poor position. Finishing again was poor IMO, I really don't know why our cutting edge is so poor. A win is a win but a lot of work to do.
  5. Absolute shite last night, we can do a lot better than him if we look about.
  6. And the point of a laser pen is what exactly? Toss pots.
  7. I thought this lad was immaculate last night.
  8. Well, I can't answer that because I know little about what Jose thinks/wants.
  9. No, 'I think' they will score first, thus placing a bet on them to score first and us to win 2-1
  10. Good, fast and positive start with Eden driving at defenders and strikers making movement please. We don't normally do things easy so I will them to score first and us winning 2-1.
  11. If you read this thread you would think he wasn't far away from being sacked.
  12. Of course it's my opinion, and I respect yours. I'm not comparing Schurrle to Hazard or Mata, all have their strengths and weaknesses. Your trying to put words into my mouth and missing the point. A lot of people on this forum are guilty of asking for such and such player because player A or B isn't doing it etc. Every player is important, we are a team, a unit, and all are a cog in the works, but if one player is not doing it then they have no divine right to selected just because their name maybe Hazard, Mata or Oscar for that matter, that goes for anyone. Personally I would of dropped Hazard weeks ago and put Schurrle as I felt he was doing more to influence a game than Hazard was. This wasn't just my opinion of Hazard but that of Ivanovic and Lampard.
  13. Hazard hasn't been quality, he's been better of late than he was. Against Sunderland he was immense, in the build up to that he was rank average. Schurrle for me is the one here who has proven every time he has been selected that he can do a top job.
  14. Both immense for me, but Suarez gets my vote, been absolutely un-playable and scored some absolute worldies.
  15. Stay in Italy please, do not like this jumped up fucker one bit.
  16. Cech Azpilicueta Luiz Terry Cole Ramires Lampard Schurrle Mata Hazard Ba
  17. Like the only place to be keeps stating, our problem solver is at Everton. I'm not saying he would score 30 goals here but there has to be a point where you stop, take stock and say now is the time for the boy Lukaku, which should of been the time back in the summer. Eto'o will do a job but I can not and will not believe he can be the one to fire us to the brink of winning the league. I just think the choice to allow Lukaku to leave on loan and bring Eto'o was the most baffling thing for a long time at this club. Whether it be Lukaku asking or us telling him, from my point of view he should of been told in no uncertain terms he stays here, and I bet he would answered the critics and outshone Torres and Ba with ease, simply because he is hungry, and right now we do not have hungry strikers.
  18. I was listening to Soccer Saturday as all the results where happening, and as soon as Crouch made it 1-1 I had a bad feeling. Also hate it when you know the one who is covering the game for SKY and all game you hear "Goooooaaaaaaaalllllllllll" and they say it in such a manner of pure delight you know it ain't us. I was fuming at FT on Saturday, my little lads was worse he was shouting at me saying "Dad I bet it's the defence being crap again" What a sad Saturday apart from United result
