Reports this morning claim that Chelsea, Aston Villa and Newcastle have sent scouts to this evening’s match between Scotland and Norway, to check out Brann Bergen winger Erik Huseklepp. Chelsea are thought to be favourites to sign the 24-year-old and according to a report in the Daily Telegraph this morning, "[Carlo] Ancelotti is lining up a £2.5m bid for 24-year-old Norwegian midfielder Erik Huseklepp." Huseklepp, came through the ranks at Brann Bergen, making his debut in 2005. He is currently in a rich vein of form, having scored seven goals and provided three assists in the last eight games. The 24-year-old is contracted to Brann Bergen until the end of 2010 and although he is predominantly a right-sided midfielder can also play as an out-and-out striker. Scouts in Norway describe Huseklepp as a player who is "full of flair and can be unpredictable. He played as a striker a lot during 2008, but lacks finishing skills, although he creates a lot on his own. At his best as a winger who can be exceptionally dangerous thanks to excellent dribbling and good crossing." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway. This is looking more likely....No ones denied that Roman has gone to discuss the transfer officially. Ribery has taken back all comments he said about not wanting to play in England because of the weather....And i reckon this would be a good signing. From what official websites ive seen he is listed as right footed...So he would play in the right of the diamond...Where, lets face it...Against UTD on Sunday...Essien sucked at it....He was caught out in field so many times, this isnt a dig at Essien, just saying he cant play in that position....Ribery could, and would make our team have a totally different added threat........He's already proven as a world great player unlike Pato or Aguero (who i'd still rather see in a Chelsea shirt ofc) so we know he is good... £40 million isnt THAT much in this modern age of football, half of Ronaldo's price?? I agree with what your saying up there ^^^^ However, i just cant help but feel that if we had either Pato OR Aguero it would just fully complete our squad...He would be the new Ronaldo or Rooney type player that Manchester United always seem to have and we dont...They even still have Nani...But after yesterday...Not for a while teehee 0=). I cant think of many quality fairly young players aged 24 ish who want to play for Chelsea though. But when people come to Chelsea they all either stay, or leave with a fondness for Chelsea...The way our team is it turns players into Chelsea lovers

I think Sinclairs not so amazing time in the Championship is easily explainable....Its because the league is too rough and physical...Not enough about football...Although this image has changed a lot over the past few years...Its still the case. My dad is a Birmingham City fan and so i was forced to watch Sinclair last season...He got bullied at times...The premier league is less so physical and will suit him better...And also the quality that he will be playing WITH will help, as with Di Santo

When the Pirlo deal fell through Milan claimed they were still interested in Pizzaro...However they have now signed KLAUS JAN HUNTELAAR...(hes awesome aswell =[!) So i dont know if their still arsed...However i read on the internet PIZARRO will DEFINATLY BE LEAVING by the end of this week...His agent just didnt want to confirm which club he would be going to until the transfer was completed...YAY...Now just Sheva to go?

I think i can clear up some of the money arguments...His realease clause is 55 million EUROS. And at the start of the season Chelsea offered 45 million in just cash...In pounds i do believe....This stalled because he wanted £200,000 a week...Which is £100,000 net after tax. So obviously we were like FUNK NO....Swivvell! This time we have offered £38 million PLUS Deco....To match presumably our offer of last time..Not his release fee...So Deco is deemed to be at least worth 7 million to match our old bid. Still really hopes this happens, apparently its only getting his wages down to EVEN just join top earner (i dont know how that would upset the rest of the squad....or if perhaps they would be prepared for a kid to be joint top earner if said player is going to make them a million times better)...Which is 150k net. PLEASE COME AGUERO!!!

I think we should win this one pretty easily...Especially without Van Der Sarr in goal. Check this news story out....Its on a lot of websites...Can only hope its true...Ill put this in the three players threads. I dont know where i stand on this one....Ive seen a lot of him over the years and he's an excellent player...Still pretty young with his best years ahead of him too....But i dont know where he would fit into an already over crowded midfield...We would definatly have to loose Deco....But this diamond formation with Sneijder would be good for him but you cant help but feel someone key to Chelsea would have to be left out...Having said that....He seems to be the only player nearly everyone has agreed with signing on this whole forum! I wont be too upset either way whatever happens TBH.

That would be amazing if we could swap him for Mesut Ozil....I watched a bit of him in the Bundesliga and saw a lot more of him at the under 21's championship...Looks like a great player...We could sell Deco to Inter....and then we have a smaller younger squad and Ozil has the ability to fill the whole of the midfield even probably the "deep lying playmaker" role that Ancelotti knows and loves

I think you mis understood what i said about the team i listed...That was me showing what a good Youthful backup team Chelsea have to call on...Not the team i expect to play against Reading. And i appologise about getting the Hunt thing wrong.....Either way he is still not playing because he is injured.

I hate to spoil the fun of this topic....But Hunt is transfer listed by Reading....Rodgers does not what him in his team....Which im guessing is because of all the Cech stuff...And i dont blame him! He's into feildy a team of their wonderkids as he was youth team managers at Reading before he joined the Chelsea set up. Hopefully we will field a mixture of teams...With our proper ideal starting 11 playing maybe an hour 55 minutes at least...Then the younger players coming on. It is me...Or does all of a sudden our squad look really organised in structure...We literally have great young players in back up for every area of our team...Goalkeeper...Turnbull...Defence...Mancienne...Hutchinson...Midfield...Mikel...Sinclair....Stikers...Sturridge...Di Santo! It looks pretty good to me!!

The only way i would let Kalou go to somewhere like Arsenal is if we demand Theo Walcott in return...Then how awesome would that be!? But its unlikely, so we might aswell keep him...Still plenty of time to shine, as hes only like 23 still...And lots of Premiership experience...Ancelotti will do wonders with the whole squad as its been said by many players already how good his man management is....Comon Chelsea!!!!

A great stadium no doubt! We were alright...This game was meant to be the hardest, Club America have played 3 more pre season games than Chelsea...And our squad wasnt exactly all of the best players. Anyone else reaaaallly happy to see Di Santo score and then set one up...Im willing him on to break into the first team and gain enough confidence in himself to do well. Also, is Sinclair actually staying now...As there were rumors Birmingham City would be actually BUYING him after his loan last season...Cant help but feel he's in the squad for that new fifa rule about home grown and trained players....But id love to see him do well too. A good end to the pre season tour of America and i love the way they celebrated with the little bowl thing, made it look like it was a champions league final or summet, they went nuts LOL. Comon Chelsea! Lets own Reading now....We can all laugh at Hunt on the bench as Brendan Rodgers wants to sell him (probably cuz he doesnt want to work with someone who did THAT to Cech).

I dont know about this one...Yes Drogba and Villa would be an amazing partnership...But i dont think we need a striker...Just a pacey take on the full back skillfull right sided play for the right of Ancelotti's diamond. As if were talking about diamonds on a football forum...How gay! But yeah i think we should still sell Sheva and Pizzaro...Although both have said they wish to stay and fight for their places at Chelsea...And possibly sell Kalou, im still undecided on that one...And then we should buy someone like Pato, Aguero (if we stalled on wage demands..earlier this summer...why dont we re ignite our interests in HIM and just go slightly under his wage demands to get him), or maybe David Silva, also from Valencia, who they need to sell to raise money...Man U and Liverpool are after him...in his early 20's, very talented?

I dont know about this. Whatever happens, £7 mill isnt enough. But at the same time i get that dodgey feeling that Wenger would turn him into a legend...And he's only 23...So maybe he can still become a world class young player....But atm he doesnt add much to the team apart from cover...And he doesnt always have much of an influential game..But then again sometimes he does have...So this is difficult to call, i dont know if i want him to stay OR if he is surplus to Ancelotti's plans and squad.

I wouldent believe anything you read in the papers...Its all there to cause unnecessary panic....Yeah he hasnt signed a new contract yet...He's supposed to be next week...If he does want to talk to family and friends first...What kind of family or friends would suggest joining Man City over staying at Chelsea...They would want him to stay in the London area! Its hard but try not to worry about it, i reckon all will be fine. On a side note...Anyone love the way Ancelotti says John Terry?? Its like....HHHHHOOONNNN TEEEEEREEEEEEEEE LOL!

And whilst were going with this whole first options (like dibsing...shotgunning, or bagseying a player lol) stuff...Why dont we do a Real Madrid contract style thing. They put buy back clauses in their contracts...So any good young players that leave the club and go on to become awesome can be brought back by Real as having the first option and set cheaper price...Cheekey i know, but its a decent idea.
