I think this year Torres will miss out unless he starts playing well again he wont be starting many games at Chelsea

For a world Cup year Torres does not look like a player who wants to go to the world cup, he is not even showing any signs of being an actual striker

Exactly what I have been trying to say. Mata's lack of defensive capabilities is outweighed by the positives he gives us in attack. He scored 20 goals and had 35 assists meaning he had a direct hand in 55 of the team's 141 goals last season which is over a third of our total goals. Surely a player like that deserves to be starting every week and can be excused fo his lack of defensive work.

Yep it accomodates an extra playmaker which would solve the Mata and Oscar issue in my opinion, Oscar is good at dropping back and whilst Mata has the eye for a pass so its a win win situation I think

I put van ginkel in the middle to give us more strength in the midfield. The team formation is what I would love to see goin forward so that we can accommodate both Mata and Oscar who are both great #10s but with different qualities

Chelsea i believe is a better team without Lampard than with Lampard IMO. By the way I still havent forgiven him for the mistreatment he gave to AVB, to br honest AVB may have done it in the wrong way but he was right Lampard can no longer hold a place regular place in the starting 11. He saw the future, I believe his goal scoring covers a lot for some poor decisions he does in a game even poor England realised that a while ago. his poor in position he slows down the counter attack, he shoots too much. Look at Casillas the guy never got a game but he handled it like a professional and did not sabotage the Manager like Lampard did with AVB ie before Napoli game

Not a fan of the signing would hv loved to see the money invested elsewhere but since his now a CFC player I will fully get behind him unless we lose Mata because of him because I think that would be treating Mata like shit whose gone from a potential wage rise to being put on the transfer mkt indirectly

I am really worried about his continual presence in the starting line up. He just does not cut it in big games anymore for us. I hope Mourinho realises that soon enough. For a player who has had a pre season disrupted by injuries its really surprising that he has played over 270 minutes of football without being substituted. I hope Van Ginkel starts on Friday. The kid was impressive in pre season and deserves his chance.

He used to update even games he was not involved in last season. he even got to watch some la liga games and talked abt those too

The only think the boy can do is score goals when he comes in so that he can prove to Mourinho he deserves a chance to start every game. he should use the united game as motivation to force himself into Mourinho's thinking

Poor kid has no ambition I do not even know why he is signing for CFC when he most likely will never break into the team. Look at Victor Moses right now he was promised the Chelsea dream just a year ago but look where he is now?? He even has the added advantage of being a home grown player but he is being chucked out on loan even after impressing in pre season. Mata has even stopped updating the after match blog he always did. I think Mourinho is breaking his spirit. I know its tough to say this but for the player Mata is he deserves better and I would not begrudge him if he forced a move, but I rest assure u that will be the end of Mourinho's honeymoon period in most fans faces and im sure for the owner too. I would rather have a 75% fit Mata in the starting 11 than KDB to be honest. No offense to KDB's talents his a great player and good for depth but Mata is a much better player and has more talent than him also he offers way more to the team through than most people actually realise. Also I know he does not offer tracking back qualities and has a weak defensive contribution but surely he makes that up by his great link up play with Hazard. I believe that Hazard is a much better player with Mata in the line up than without him. Its like they share the same football brain when both are on the pitch. Mourinho is a great coach but he is also a human being prone to error and this is one error he has to fix before its too late.

Great managers make great space for great players. Messi is not known for his defensive side of the game but is still a key figure in the Barca team. Pirlo is also not the fastest player around but Conte found a way to play him in a counter attacking Juve. So the Mata does not track back nonsense has to go. What he contributes in front of goal is worth more than he costs us at the back 20 goals and 35 assists to be precise. Also hazard links better with Mata than anyone else which overall is better for the team. Had we strengthed at the pivot we would not have had this Mata problems.
