I honestly don’t get some of the emotional outburst against Mourinho. Mata is old enough to know which club he decided to join. According to “The Times” Mata asked to leave Chelsea this morning. So what was Chelsea (José) supposed to do then? 1. Tell him he can’t leave and keep him on the bench - and get blamed for ruining his career. 2. Start playing him ahead of Oscar (revise the existing system) and gamble with the rest of the season. And how would you react if it meant we started to lose matches? 3. Mata is obviously well aware of which club he decided to join - should Chelsea (José) question his judgment and tell him he should wait for another offer? Some of Chelsea legends sat on the bench when Benitez and AVB were at Chelsea and I can’t remember this kind of (over)reaction. Now Mourinho is one of the best managers in the world and probably knows a bit more about football than me. So I personally trust his judgment on the Oscar/Mata issue. But perhaps Mata could have asked for another way out - such as loan.

I personally don’t like how some of the young Belgian players communicate with Jose through the media - now they are too young to know better so I must assume it’s their advisers, but still. I don’t think it’s very wise. Why can’t Courtois be tested in the EPL first is beyond me. He’s never played for Chelsea and he has never played in England and he demands to be our number 1 GK? Let’s hope he can handle the pressure better than Lukaku with his infamous penalty. There is another factor some of you seem to underestimate - experience.

He also speaks Czech :-)

I definitely remember I read it somewhere (about showing respect by calling a person "father" in some parts of Africa). Kofi Annan, who also comes from Ghana, is called a "father" there. There is an interesting piece on Essien's background (from 2006), that might also explain why he became so attached to Jose. I believe it's normal in some parts of Africa to address people who are important to you as "father". So it's out of respect. I'm not saying people don't find it weird, just that it might be a cultural thing.

While the subject is Liverpool: Police are investigating a death aboard a yacht owned by Liverpool FC owner John Henry, who said he is "saddened" by the news. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/9pm-update-liverpool-fc-owner-4045067

What you did was a plain insult, absolutely uncalled for. I cried as well - now go on and call me names if it makes you feel better.
-
He also said something about getting Benayoun back (to keep Torres company). Seriously, you have to start getting used to a brighter future. Rafa is out and Jose is back :-)
-
Yeah. He'll make him a captain.
-
You're not the only one :-)
-
I've asked you once before. Who lasted longer than Jose?
-
Is this some kind of a joke? What manager stayed longer at Chelsea than Jose?
-
Not everyone - I wasn't and I said it clearly. This shouldn't be made into a "Jose against Luiz" kind of thing. Accepting selling Luiz doesn't mean turning one's brain over to Jose or losing the capacity to form an opinion.
-
Well we can't all hold the same opinion, can we? IMHO: If Jose decides to sell him I'm quite sure it won't be a random knee jerk reaction, but a part of a plan. Get the money while we can, he is 26 and there is no guarantee he will get that much better.

It seems to be working just fine. http://www.firstrow1.eu/watch/68515/1/watch-skysportsnews.html

The deadline for season ticket renewals is tomorrow (5 PM). Surely they will want to announce it before that?
-
Do you have kids? They learn by trying things out themselves with the help from their parents, not by a stranger telling them what to do. You are a Madrid supporter, right? Enough of this patronising, I'm too old for this.
-
Yes, like saying he created a disaster and "made massive errors financially, tactically, and with his attitude to player and media." But can't we just be allowed to ENJOY Jose is coming back? And if everything goes wrong you can come and post "I've told you so". Quite honestly: what are we supposed to do with all those negative comments on Jose's time in Madrid? It's like a Christmas evening and you tell the kids their presents are shite even before they have a chance to open them.
-
But they did protest and showing openly their disapproval over Rafa's appointment (well, at least it's my belief) played some part in Jose's coming back. I'm actually quite proud they didn't just put up with it. I do not really want to comment on Roman, I have my opinions on Russian oligarchs. And don't get me started on Rafa and the trophies we lost with him :-)
-
And how is that better compared to our position when Robbie got sacked? And how did sacking Ancelotti help us? You already say if Mourinho doesn't deliver he needs to go...but "deliver" is apparently very subjective. And if you really believe Chelsea fans approved of Robbie being sacked and replaced by Rafa then you didn't see or hear the reaction. Well, it's the fans who put their hard-earned money into the Chelsea kitty and they deserve to be treated with respect. End of.

Arbeloa blames Madrid players for Mourinho exit The right-back has launched an attack on the squad for not putting the club ahead of their own interests this season http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2013/06/01/4019309/arbeloa-blames-madrid-players-for-mourinho-exit?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_BN_1

Thanks. Quite disappointed you didn't have a "LOL" to spare for me though.
-
I would have celebrated if we won them with the same manager too - what you are trying to say? How can you possibly know what would have happened if we didn't sack managers so frequently? It's all only a guess. Both managers and fans deserve to be treated with respect. Trophies are secondary - to me. Not winning anything wouldn't stop me supporting Chelsea, but if we continue to treat managers and fans the way we did recently I might just give up. Getting Jose back is a sign the board finally begin to get it.

Off to Napoli forums and warn them about Rafa?
-
But true fans aren't. Mind you, I don't mean the glory hunters.
