I wonder how those copyright laws work in regards to the 50 million Tumblr blogs in which users steal whatever images they want, fascinating really. Does Tumblr just keep taking the hit?. Without looking too deeply I'd say ads might play a part in this (I have ad-blocker, so can't confirm). Talk Chelsea benefits 'commercially' via page views..

The 'entire' concept of Tumblr is people using other peoples copyrighted images without permission for their blogs. That site makes small money from add-ons and such, but if it had to pay image owners left, right and centre it wouldn't stay afloat. What is the point of having (which you have) 'Disclaimers' and user terms and conditions then?.. As you said, the convenience of paying £300 to make this go away.. outweighs the effort, time and money you'd need to take it further. But what if it happens again?, and again?, wouldn't it be better to seek professional help and learn all you can now, than later.

You can do a Google image search, i.e search for the exact image and everywhere it's been used online. Can he provide evidence he took the appropriate action to ensure the copyrighted image wouldn't be infringed innocently? If he had no watermark, or made no effort or attempt to portray the work as copyrighted then he hasn't got shit on you. If McDonalds removed the '© ' from the M, we could all use it, you have to provide information to people.

Yea, as mentioned above.. sounds like a scam. I don't even need to ask because clearly it was posted with an article on the TC home page and not the forum. Sites like the Guardian etc always have a copyright on whatever image they use for an article.

Signing experienced players isn't the problem (well, minus the Benayoun-Kakuta scandal), it's when you do that.. AND sign every talented ready-made youngster available. I actually don't have a problem with that, but there has to be some balance.

Again, that's not the reality at Chelsea. We just signed a 19 year old french lad from another club, Piazon was poached, Kakuta was poached, Kalas was robbed etc etc. We don't produce, we 'sign' players from abroad. There isn't another John Terry coming out of the Chelsea setup any time soon. R.I.P English backbone.
