  1. I'd rather not win because of one player, than win because of only that player. It's called being prudent.
  2. Best thing I've read on here in a while, thanks.
  3. Why does it have to be vs? It seems like we're just writing off the fact that they can't play together, which, if that is the case, might as well start saying bye to Mata.
  4. Especially this season. Needless to say, I don't recall much after the Basel game. Things got a little hazy.
  5. If after this many games people can claim we are in a crisis, I am glad; otherwise, we wouldn't be a big team. Let the word Crisis jump around the media like a kid playing hopscotch. It really means nothing. Not to CFC fans.
  6. As difficult as it will be to take, a solution will not come next match or the match after or the match after that or the match after that one. Great things take time, and we are barely building this; we are at the absolute bottom. The team, during this phase, will always need for its supporters to, well, support. So many new faces and such, it's only logical that this is how things should be. Expect a struggle.
  7. How can you be so great for the Confederations Cup, but go to shit at club level? Are people looking at the right thing to blame, or the easy thing?
  8. 1. Nothing is because it is your choice. But, to expect them to be a certain way, is. I understand. I am disappointed at this awful result too. 2. You can't use past examples because you have so many variables that have fluctuated, that it makes an argument that much weaker. We have different players and a different coach now. With these changed variables, what we can say is, we have gradually decreased our performances, as of now. Let's hope the future is better. KTBFFH!
  9. To be fair, it's a forum: a place to share opinions and views on an overall topic(Chelsea Football Club). Launching an ultimatum based on opinions you disagree with is illogical. It kills the basis of what having this site is all about. On the other hand, I agree about Mata. But expect more reactions like this. It's the norm. The easier way to view things is to just look at this game, and this game alone. Who played, who didn't. Who did well, who didn't. Analyze only those points to get a clear look at what happened. We can't use past examples, like Liverpool fans so frequently do to establish their greatness, to reflect what is currently happening. What is happening: we played bad and have been playing bad for the better part of this season. Who's to blame? Everyone from the bottom up.
  10. So we should all refrain from posting, for fear of the ban-hammer.
  11. That's unrealistic considering the way we are trying to go about our business now(i.e. buy cheap and grow our own players). We can't just buy buy buy. As for the game: WHY GOD WHY?!!!! *shaking fists at the sky while kneeling down*
  12. Will be very surprised if Mata stays past the winter transfer-window. He's too good to sit on the bench for us. Hopefully Mourinho can actually clear things up with him(not that vague bullshit), like he did with Iker. Otherwise, bye bye Mata. If he did leave, he is well within his right. He deserves to start every game.
  13. I was inebriated. I just meant it takes a lot more than just a sexy team sheet to make a great national side(which is what you have to be to win the world cup). Point in case, Brazil up until the Confederations Cup. Belgium is just starting to gel. While there have been other teams( Spain, Germany, Argentina, Italy) that have been doing well for the last couple of years. Finally, with Chelsea having a significant amount of Belgium players, it's understandable why everyone is getting elated over the Belgium national side. I just don't think it's warranted, as of now.
  14. Can we put our emotions aside and actually pick a great national team? i.e. people who think Lukaku was great or had time to develop his potential. Just because Chelsea has Brazilians and Belgians doesn't mean Brazil or Belgium are the best. Take thought in to it. You are dealing with a large sample! 1. Spain 2.Argentina 3. Germany
  15. Is Swindon a synonym for Tottenham? Based on the previous posts, it seems like it.
  16. What if he mentioned Chalobah to try and push him even harder? Maybe Wilkins just wants him to achieve his full potential.
  17. Seriously. A good amount of posters put him there in their line-ups when he hasn't even played there yet under Mourinho.
  18. What is it with people on this forum underestimating every team, only to come back livid when the result is not a win. Did everyone forget that Schalke reached the semi-finals in 2011? Yeah, I think we're a better team, but don't get carried away so much.
  19. Instead of spouting random dross, you should make your idea clear. He screwed up? No. He made a failed bid? Yes. He has Torres, Eto'o, and BA. I think Mou already had the failed bid in mind when he started the season. You just want to hate on Mourinho every chance you get without any worthy substance. 2/3 of our strikers have already won the UCL. Obviously they aren't there for show n' tell.
  20. I don't blame Mata. It was like when Mourinho told ManU to make a decision on Rooney, and not just let him sit on the bench. Karma is a .........well, we all know.
