http://www.eatsleepsport.com/Chelsea/blues...oop-913232.html Last Updated: Wed, 17 Jun 2009 12:26 Chelsea are said to be closing in on a double swoop for Manchester City striker Daniel Sturridge and Yuri Zhirkov of CSKA Moscow. Sturridge is available after letting his contract run down at Eastlands and Chelsea are on the verge of wrapping up a deal for the young striker, who will command a fee while he is under the age of 23. Aston Villa were also in the hunt but Chelsea have won the race to sign him and the fee will be set by a tribunal if it cannot be agreed between the two clubs. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also reported to be closing in on a swoop for CSKA winger Zhirkov, who will cost in the region of £15million.

yeah tickets for the AC Milan match were hard ones to get, should be a pretty full stadium
-
maybe im wrong and maybe the rumors of us signing him didnt really have any weight to them, but i think that we "withdrew" from the bidding says we are gonna make a big signing. i think the fact that we arent signing him shows that we wnat to spend that 18.5 somewhere else as part of a bigger deal for a better player like tevez or ribery or someone
-
this is what i think, there are two likely scenarios for Tevez if he leaves ManU which looks likely, either ManCity or the bridge. if he chooses man city it would probably be just for money. meaning if he chooses man city over Chelsea, he obviously cares more about the cash than playing at the highest level of european competition, so he wouldnt be the type of player id want. but from everything ive heard he has a great work ethic and is very competitive so i think he might choose us if we're in the ballpark moneywise.

ill be at the match vs AC Milan in Baltimore, about an hour from my house

NOTE: Sorry about the title, i didnt realize it wasnt official at first. http://www.blackburn.vitalfootball.co.uk/a...le.asp?a=157635 It has been revealed today that young Chelsea striker Franco Di Santo may well be joining Blackburn Rovers on a year long loan deal. Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has first refusal on Di Santo. The Russian backed club are prepared to let the 6ft 4in Argentinean go on a one-year loan to get Premier League experience. Chelsea signed Di Santo, a member of the Argentina under-20 side, from Chilean side Audax Italiano a year ago, ironically, the same side that our own fallen Chilean hero, Carlos Kickaball (Villanueva) was loaned from. Allardyce hopes Di Santo is a done deal but Chelsea's new boss Carlo Ancelotti wants to see him train and play before deciding if he can go on loan, so the move is on ice until mid-July. It is also rumoured that Ince was an admirer of Di Santo and after he had signed for Chelsea last summer, as he knew Di Santo's agent, asked if he could find someone similar to Franco and recommended Carlos. There are numerous clubs over the European continent interested in Di Santo with Spanish side Espanyol interested and allegedly, his agents have also been having discussions with Everton and Middlesbrough but Rovers have the first refusal. Blackburn have a top level agreement with the Chelsea hierarchy that any loan deal will be with them. Rovers have had to agree with Chelsea that di Santo WILL play. The player will go where he is told apparently. His agent is employed by Chelsea, so there is no great problem there. It is worth noting also that Franco Di Santo is in the Chelsea first team squad and has played under Hiddink and Scolari. In that superstar team he has been handed the number 9 shirt and has already received rave reviews from people within the camp.

Chelsea Want AZ Forward Moussa Dembele – Report The London side are keen to add a young attacker to their squad and have set their sights to Dembele... According to a report in Belgian newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, English powerhouse Chelsea are considering making a move for AZ's highly-rated forward Moussa Dembele. The London side are eager to add a young striker to their squad this summer and were already being linked with youngsters such as Milan's Alexandre Pato and Twente's Marko Arnautovic. Nevertheless, Carlo Ancelotti has now reportedly made Dembele his primary objective. The 21-year-old has been one of the absolute key men for AZ in their successful Eredivisie campaign this term and this hasn't gone unnoticed in the rest of Europe. Big teams such as Juventus, Milan, Fiorentina and Sevilla are all believed to keep tabs on the versatile Belgian international. Dembele's current AZ contract is set to expire in 2011, however, the Dutch champions are willing to let go of their star player for an estimated fee of €20 million. Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Dembele this summer to farm him back out on loan to AZ for one season. That way the attacker could gain valuable Champions League experience at the Alkmaar side before joining the Blues on a permanent basis. http://goal.com/en/news/462/netherlands/20...-dembele-report

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club

well David Villa is almost surely off to Real Madrid, and AC Milan are being really stubborn on Pato, so i say we just make a strong push for Aguero and end all this transfer drama -

I really want him too, but the wages hes asking for are really high, higher than kaka and i dont think anyone (including us) would give him that. But for the 45 million trasnfer fee and reasonable wages ill take him over villa every time. -
Milan keeps saying Pato is absolutely not for sale. But about a week ago Kaka was saying "for the last time i will not leave milan" so we'll see what happens when Roman starts flashing his cash at them

DAVID VILLA will decide between Chelsea and Real Madrid this week. Blues' sporting director Frank Arnesen and Real counterpart Jorge Valdano are in Valencia to thrash out their proposals with the striker's club and his agent. Reports suggest Chelsea are ready to offer a £38million cash deal while Real are hoping to lure him with a bid of £24m plus striker Alvaro Negredo. Villa, 28, who has already turned down a megabucks move Manchester City, is thought to favour a move to Madrid for family reasons. His agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, said: "The key here is not just the money being offered but the sporting ambition of the club. David has never been interested only in money." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...p;ATTR=Football Chelsea vs. Real Madrid round 2 i guess.

ive seen this happen here in the states in american football. cant handle a little rain to get paid millions. this is an obvious sign that ribery's priorities are terrible and if he cares more about weather than the game itself, then fuck him, have fun in la liga or wherever.

it was so funny reading the posts leading up to todays on this page talking about giving him away for free and so on lol. i wonder how much money a "high powered deal" is anyway
-
i completely agree with you relic, but unfortunatley i also agree with terminator. i dont see AC letting both Kaka and Pato go, unless Pato went for a huge fee. an alternative could be aguero or benzema, both of which are good substitutes imo.

Pato "enthusiastic" about Chelsea Alexandre Pato’s agent has said he is “enthusiastic” about Chelsea’s interest and told Milan to make its position clear. While this evening the Stamford Bridge side released an official statement denying it had made any offer for Kaka, they did not mention his Rossoneri teammate. “Milan have to decide Pato’s situation,” agent Gilmar Veloz told Antenna 3 television. “We are enthusiastic about Chelsea’s interest in the player, but the final decision is entirely down to Milan. “Pato has a contract with Milan, but if the club reached an agreement with Chelsea, then we would be willing to negotiate.” It is reported Carlo Ancelotti wants to bring The Duck with him to London and the club has offered £45m for the teenage hitman. “At the moment, I cannot give any guarantees to the fans that Pato will remain at Milan,” warned Veloz. “I do not own the club and so only a spokesman for Milan can answer that question.” Rossoneri fans are already stationed out in front of the club headquarters at Via Turati to protest Kaka’s possible move to Real Madrid. http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jun03x.html There is also another report on goal.com that his agent says Pato could leave AC soon, but the article isnt up yet so i didnt post it.

i think this is just speculation at this point, nobody (that matters/is a reliable source) has confirmed kaka to madrid, and until then its all a mystery. i do think this bid is probably real though.

Chelsea elbow Real Madrid out of way for Valencia's Villa tribalfootball.com Chelsea are threatening to trump Real Madrid for Valencia striker David Villa. AS says Real have pulled out of the battle for Villa after new president Florentino Perez decided not to go higher than £30 million for the Spain international. Valencia are asking closer to £40 million - which is due to Chelsea's fresh interest, that has only arrived this week. http://www.tribalfootball.com/Chelsea-elbo...as-villa-248471

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...e.html?ITO=1490 Chelsea kick-off Ancelotti's reign by signing City striker Daniel Sturridge Chelsea kick-off Ancelotti's reign by signing City striker Daniel Sturridge By Matt Lawton and Simon Cass Last updated at 12:56 AM on 03rd June 2009 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...-Sturridge.html Chelsea have kicked off Carlo Ancelotti’s reign in spectacular style by luring Daniel Sturridge from Manchester City and preparing a £45million bid for another wonderkid, AC Milan’s Alexandre Pato. They have moved to revitalise their ageing squad by signing the highly-rated 19-year-old striker, who was out of contract at Eastlands, and moving for Brazil forward Pato, also 19, who played for manager Ancelotti in Italy. The Italian has also convinced owner Roman Abramovich to perform a U-turn over Didier Drogba and offer the striker a new three-year contract despite his outburst after Chelsea were knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona. Ancelotti does not officially start until next month but he is urgently restructuring the club’s attack and may not yet have given up on Kaka, his favourite player from AC Milan, who is thought to prefer a move to Spain. Real Madrid thought they had struck a world record £54m deal for the Brazilian last night after agreeing a five-year contract worth £148,000-a-week net, but reports in Spain claimed Chelsea were trying to hijack the deal. England Under 20 striker Sturridge has become the first signing of the new regime on a free after City refused to meet his £55,000-aweek wage demands. He made 16 Premier League appearances last season and scored four goals but Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen has been after him for three years. Pato has been seen as Kaka’s replacement for club and country and his signing would be a real coup.

Terry willing to accept £70M Kaka as Chelsea's biggest earner tribalfootball.com Chelsea have opened talks with AC Milan star Kaka over a world record move to Stamford Bridge. The Independent says Kaka has opened informal talks with a view to moving to Chelsea. Chelsea's owner, Roman Abramovich, and his advisers believe the player can be bought from Milan for between £60m and £70m. It is understood that the talks to bring Carlo Ancelotti from Milan – he was formally announced as Chelsea manager yesterday – involved discussions between Adriano Galliani, the Milan vice-president, and Chelsea's chief executive, Peter Kenyon, about Kaka. Milan's agreement to release Ancelotti from the final year of his contract was dependent upon Chelsea bidding a certain price for the player. Kaka's wages would break the Chelsea pay structure, at the top of which are John Terry and Frank Lampard on £135,000 a week. However, Abramovich and his chief aide and club director, Eugene Tenenbaum, believe that they will have the support of Chelsea's two most famous players to sign Kaka on wages of around £150,000 because of Lampard and Terry's ambition to win the Premier League and the Champions League. There is competition for Kaka from Real Madrid and the incoming president Florentino Perez has identified the player as one of his three major targets for the summer. However, Abramovich has been given the encouragement that Ancelotti's presence will tip the deal in his favour. http://www.tribalfootball.com/terry-willin...t-earner-248275
