Once again, with Chalobah you may well have had a point. With Kalas I completely disagree because he's simply not good enough right now based on what I've seen. If you've got a specific game where you'd have liked to have seen him play and in which position then maybe you might have a kernel of a point. But I actually think you're whinging for the sake of it. I'd also agree with you if you'd have said Lukaku, although there is a possibility that the two goals he scored in the Merseyside derby could be fairly important. But I'd have liked to have seen him retained in place of Ba (at the time I thought getting Eto'o was pointless but he's done well and proven me wrong). Barkley has been inconsistent, as has Lukaku which is why you can't rely entirely on youth. Last season I would've been more inclined to agree with you but Mourinho is actually building something here. Once you have a firm foundation, then you can start to take chances on young players. Once you have a spine to the team, it's easier to introduce youngsters.

Chalobah you may have a point. Kalas got injured near the start of the season and where he would've got games I don't know. Simple fact is that you're judging him way too soon. You can't just throw young players in when there's no spine to the team. We can actually play Chalobah next season ALONGSIDE Matic, but are you seriously saying that either Mikel or Ramires had enough leadership skills to actually take him under their wing? As for the older guard, he's sold Essien (a guy you were unequivocally disrespectful too if I remember correctly) and dropped Cole. Who would you like him to play now? Aina? I've criticised him (because I am capable and willing to do that when I feel it is appropriate and not in a scattergun manner like you do you mewling quim) for not going with Lukaku this season but beyond that it's hard to fault the guy when it comes to integrating youth. You need that firm foundation to do that though, unless you're as hopeless as we were last season in which case fuck it.

The French always have good kits, be it football or rugby teams (and yes I'm including Stade's in that). As for the game I think it'll be a tight one. I would've fancied our chances more against a Real Madrid or Barca and PSG were the team I wanted least along with Atletico, simply because it's something of an unknown commodity. It's probably the tie of the round for me though and there are plenty of storylines to attract the neutral.

Here's the problem, we brought in FFP to stop teams like you doing what we did. It's cruel isn't it? We spent all this money establishing ourselves and creating all these new revenue streams and then backed a rule to stop teams like you, Malaga, Monaco and Anzhi from doing the same. Naughty Roman. TV rights alone are worth over three times as money as your's which means we'll have far more money to spend to maintain our position. PSG on the other hand don't just need to grow themselves, but the French league as a whole. That's what you don't understand - Chelsea aren't where they are simply because they have money. They also have the best competition in the world in the likes of Arsenal, Man City, Man United, Liverpool and Tottenham. I fell like I'm being a bit mean and simply kicking a child now. Sorry. No I don't. It's actually quite impressive how little you actually understand football. Guardiola's sides aren't just good at passing. That's such a ridiculously naive view that suggests you've never actually played (maybe even watched) football. A pass is when the ball is kicked from one player to another. Now for the ball to reach that player it has to be accurate, but the player also has to be in space and working for 90 minutes to continually find space and be available for the pass is incredibly hard. It takes determination (guts/balls) to push yourself like that which is part of the reason Guardiola's sides had questions about burnout raised about them. Allied to that his sides press insanely hard when they lose possession (that first 7 seconds after losing the ball) which only adds to their workload, so to say that he favours technique is ridiculous. His sides are some of the hardest working sides you'll find in world football which is why he places such an emphasis on training and training camps in particular. Equally to suggest Mourinho goes simply for the mental is overly-simplistic. His tactics require a huge level of concentration and anticipation but also an incredibly high level of precision when making breaks (look at Madrid's breaks that frequently involved Ronaldo or our own breaks against Galatasaray or Arsenal - precision, pace and concentration combined). But yes....Guardiola does like passing.

I disagree completely with that. Money is important, but sportsmen in general (that I've encountered) have a fantastic drive to test themselves at the higher level. They want to be the best and that means playing the best week-in and week-out. Of course there are some like Falcao who are happy to play in front of one man and his dog for astronimical tax free-earnings but then you get players like Eden Hazard who clearly want to play in a league that offers prestige as well as money. Maybe Cavani is regretting his decision to go to PSG to play second-fiddle to Zlatan in a second-tier league. What we have for the first time in years (yes, those other 'transitions' didn't work and we ended up with a squad composed of players bought for different tactics) is a solid foundation based on a clear idea of how we want to play football, not just in the first team but at age-group level as well. We have something approaching a spine in the team, something we haven't had for about 4 years. We have clear areas we need to improve on but that wasn't going to happen overnight. You seem to want instant success when that simply wasn't going to be a given. You talk about Jose's past success yet seem completely ignorant of it. When he arrived here we were already a very good team and he took us to that next level - we weren't a very good team when he arrived this time. He's had to build a team who can defend better and he's improved the young talent we have here and yet people like you (and there are but a handful of you, although the sanctimonious prickishness makes you seem greater in number) still have the temerity to bellyache because he didn't win immediately. You castigate him for being short-termist yet you seem to care only about the short-term. Interesting to see Cavani making a few comments about reviewing his position at the end of the season and being unhappy with what's he's asked to do. Wiggling his arse in the direction of the team he's supposed to be playing seems a little odd. I don't put one man above the club, but I recognise that for this club to have stability that we need to ignore the cunts and support the guy who most of us like and believe is doing a good job. We have one of the best managers in world football, a guy who has re-instilled a sense of fear in the Bridge and pride in the team after the shit we went through last year. The atmosphere is completely different at the Bridge and that for me is a massive success. If you don't understand that then you might as well throw on a City shirt in all honesty because you're ignorant of the joy of supporting a football club. Players in our squad lacking balls? Well it's your boy David Luiz for one. That's why we have to overplay the back four, because Luiz can't be trusted (something that everyone except his fan club now realises).
