Thank you. I've seen other fans elsewhere on the internet claim the same (and sounding like scousers with their history). Us winning the league does not simply paste over Ivanovic's deficiencies. He's always had them. I remember me and TorontoChelsea debating this back in 2013 in the Azpi Vs. Ivanovic thread (guess which side I was on). His deficiencies are just accentuated at the moment because a lot of players are playing poorly and he's especially atrocious. We're also leaking goals at a rapid rate from his side in particular as a result of teams targeting our weakest link. Not to mention that he was never fast in the first place, he's now on the wrong side of 30, he runs like he has a fridge on his back and turns like a truck. However, I expect him to eventually score a goal and for those types of fans to claim he's back 'in form' and that we should've never have doubted Ivanovic the 'tank'...(who dives)

Isn't Mourinho's dad very sick though? As far as I know he had a stroke in May and hasn't been well since. Apparently he's had to stop in the middle of interviews (while we were in Montreal) and take a call about his dad. It would explain a lot and I'd totally understand if that's the reason he's like this - being already in a shit situation and trying to do your job. Compounded with the hints that José informed the club way back in April about the requirements needed for him to do his job properly (new player etc.) and nothing being done about it. I mean, it's clear the money was there but we just didn't decide to use it until now which is plain stupid. Still doesn't excuse playing Ivanovic though...well, maybe if Ivanovic looked like his dad (he doesn't).

lol, it's like Mourinho is intentionally shooting himself in the foot in trying to show the Abramovic/board that he still needs reinforcements. If that's the case, I'm afraid it's just pushing him towards the door than anything else. Not that I want him fired, but he is playing with fire in many ways.

Yes, but Ivanovic acting like a lunatic winger with a fridge on his back and every team wanting to expose the right is not a coincidence. If you're plonked on the right you know you'll have to cover for Ivanovic and you know that they'll be coming at you throughout the game. When confidence is already low, shit like this doesn't help - players become on edge and scared to make a mistake which leads to even more mistakes. It's Mourinho's stubbornness more than anything else. Ivanovic should be fucking sold with consecutive performances like this but Mourinho plays him because he likes the way he gives head.

EVERYTHING, absolutely EVERYTHING has come down our right since the start of the fucking season. I honestly fear for Mourinho's mental health if Ivanovic starts the next game. I'm not kidding.
