  1. I don't see anyone paying decent money for Broja. The only link I recall was a possible West Ham loan and they probably won't need him once Kudus is back from AFCON.
  2. Even if we were to qualify for the final, we'd be up against Liverpool and that's a guaranteed loss.
  3. Compare that to Conte who turned Moses into a wingback for his tactical system...and even back in the day when Mourinho asked Azpi to play LB purely for his defensive game. There's a reason why Poch hasn't won much in his career
  4. Moreira was brought purely as a development player, wasn't he from Benfica's B team or something? Casadei was recalled as we're short in midfield till Lavia/Ugo come back from injuries As for the Santos deal, I never understood why the player and club chose Forest...he could have easily played 10+ games in another league by now and showcased his skillset.
  5. They are definitely the team to beat for PL title
  6. So we will have 1 striker for the rest of the season (with Nkunku's injury concerns)?
  7. It really is a shame that we haven't had the chance to see Lavia play alongside Enzo/Caicedo. Seems like whoever we buy these days becomes injury prone.
  8. Surprised that we weren't linked to Nusa at all considering our owners seemed so keen on stockpiling talents. It's a shame that he's likely going to Spurs.
  9. They are also a stepping stone club and players know that going to Dortmund and doing relatively well should lead to a bigger transfer and bigger payday down the line. Between Sancho, Haaland and Bellingham, they were all well known talents before going to Dortmund, not like they were found in a random Ligue 1 or Brazilian club.
  10. I don't think he 'failed' at United, won them a European trophy and also had them in the top 3 of the league table until things fell apart after his fight with Pogba/Martial. He also won a European trophy for Roma. I'm not saying that he'd fit at Chelsea right now but someone like a younger version of Mourinho (new ideas, winning mentality, wants to prove himself against the better teams, enjoys the challenge) would be interesting with the current youngsters we have in and around the first team. Unfortunately Poch won't lead us to anything, it'll always be 1 step forward and 2 steps back under him as the youngsters have nothing to aspire to. At least if it was young Mourinho, you know there's a pedigree of winning from his FC Porto days, or if its Conte, you know he's going to kill you in training and make you work hard and suffer until you play his way.
  11. Give him a consistent creator in attack like Hazard and Sarri would do well with the current squad of players.
  12. Can't wait for the inevitable Mourinho to Chelsea links in the next few weeks when we draw/lose two games in a row.
  13. It feels like the biggest move of the window would be Benzema joining the PL from Saudi league. I don't see many clubs splashing the cash in the January window as it's usually squad depth or a different option due to injuries.
  14. It's a shame he didn't get to play much for Chelsea, definitely the best finisher we had in the academy in the past few years.
  15. Agree with not going after him for that sort of price tag but comparing him to Belotti is a bit harsh. The difference is, Osimhen actually has the talent to play for top clubs in Europe.
  16. Think Udogie was brought in by Conte before he parted ways with Spurs Porro was quality for Sporting, sort of surprised other clubs didn't go in for him as a RWB.
  17. Were they in a position to win anything? Seemed like they were quite happy getting that 4th place most seasons which helped get them a bit of UCL revenue over the years. The difference between those Arsenal sides and this current Chelsea side is that they didn't spend 200 million on two midfielders "hoping" that they come good in the next 5 years. If we follow that sort of path, Enzo will be at Barcelona/Real or some other top side in the next few years just like Fabregas had to move on from Arsenal to actually raise his game and win titles. Projects are fine and it's all good to go and buy 50 wonderkids in the same transfer window but if there is no structure or good manager in place, then what's the point?
  18. I do question what Poch has actually changed compared to say Potter or Lampard as results wise we're still a mid-table club....and we still play like a mid table club. There is ZERO fear factor with the current set of players and teams know that we'll likely buckle under the pressure or give up if they get that 1-0 lead against us. The most concerning part is that he doesn't seem to know how to get the best out of Enzo & Caicedo in midfield.
  19. Wouldn't be surprising considering Caicedo had better tactical instructions at Brighton, Enzo was used far better at Benfica and I doubt Colwill expected to be playing LB this season.
  20. Bit surprising that there's been no investigation into the number of injuries at the club...and why they keep occurring. Shame that our attack went back into their shell as soon as Nkunku got injured, felt like Palmer, Mudryk and him were starting to form some chemistry.
  21. Exactly....and then you add on the fact that both Liverpool and City were keen on getting him in the previous transfer window. Hopefully for his sake Chilwell/Cucurella get fit and he can focus on being a good CB and learning from Silva as much as possible.
  22. I doubt that would be the signal for Poch to go. This will be dragged out similar to previous managers to the point where the players will give up again and then the owners will be "forced" to make the call.
  23. I think there would have been managers out there good enough to get something out of this squad of players You don't think Conte/Mourinho would have been a good fit for the amount of money that was being thrown around by the Clearlake/Boehly group? At the very least, they could have taught these youngsters a thing or two about working hard and keeping them in shape. Feels like they chose Poch because he caved into their demands Also Poch needs to stop playing defenders out of position, if a player is a CB, play them in that role, stop asking them to play LB or RB, it never works out well.
  24. I just think it was pretty poor squad planning to let 200+ games of experience walk out the door for minimal transfer fees and then put 200+ million into 2 talented but very young midfielders without any experience around them. I feel bad for both Caicedo and Enzo as they'll never live up to the price tags that were paid for them. When you spend 100+ million on a mid, you're expecting goals or assists or something special every single game (like a Hazard or Bellingham or even at a stretch a motivated Pogba).
  25. Probably because they got players to fit roles within Klopp's system rather than buying every midfielder and hoping they work together in Poch's system. I mentioned it before the season started, the lack of squad planning under Chelsea's new owners is pathetic. Why did we need to sign Caicedo, Lavia and Ugo in the same window? Surely some of that money could have been used to get a different profile of player for our attack...
